John Bolton defends GOP reps for requesting investigation into Muslim Brotherhood policy shift

John Bolton doesn’t understand why it’s controversial to ask if we are living up to our own standards and says he is mystified by the attacks being leveled at the GOP congressmen for a request that he feels is absolutely valid and necessary:

Kudos Mr. Bolton for coming down on the right side of this ‘controversy’.

Bolton rocks and I look forward to him being our Secretary of State (fingers crossed).

It’s criminal NOT to do as Bachman and others have asked. This shouldn’t even be an issue. The left doesn’t have a legitimate leg to stand on in this argument.

    • marketcomp

It makes one wonder, what is the old man, John McCain afraid of? John McCain called the investigations that Rep. Bachmann was calling for,”attacks and allegations!” Can you believe that? McCain is way to old for high level policy decisions. I respect him for his service but his days of influence should be over and done. And THANK YOU, Sober_Thinking for your service! You are a great patriot!

      • I once respected McCain’s service however his habitual treason has ruined my ability to believe that he is an honorable man.

        • marketcomp

I agree, Susan Ally. Moreover his blatant disrespect for the teaparty when called us Hobbits on the Senate floor is completely unforgivable when the tea party helped to elect his old outdated posterior elected! Its time for McCain to go!

          • conservative58

I’ll bet there is a lot of tea party bashing at the McCain dinner table. John McCain seems about as clueless as his dimwit daughter, Meagan, who continues to show her stupidity every time she speaks in public.

McCain needs to retire, along with Boehner, and all the other GOP and DEM deadbeats.

            • Nukeman60

I can hear the quote from the McCain dimwit now – “Well, for sure, I mean, really, like I’m so intelligent and such. Those Tea Party conservatives don’t have an emoticon of respect for me and my socially progressive, fiscally dependent Republican friends”.

And I’m sure his daughter would say the same thing.

              • Betsey_Ross

Well, he did call the tea party members Hobbits. That didn’t help endear him to us. I do have a t-shirt inscribed with the phrase “Hobbit Power”. Think I’ll get it out and wear it tonight. He did bring Sarah down from Alaska to help Restore America. I’ll give him that. Also, the Hobbits won.

                • Nukeman60

Yes, always remember, it’s Hobbits that saved Middle Earth.

        • nibblesyble

McCain brought us Sarah Palin..for that he will always have a place of honor in my heart.

          • Nukeman60

Be careful with that. If Satan, by means of his actions, caused me to believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, I wouldn’t be grateful to Satan.

John McCain picked Sarah Palin because he wanted to grab up Hillary’s disgruntled female vote. That failed, but by that action, it introduced a great American patriot to us all. No thanks to McCain, who was just pandering for a voting bloc at the time.

            • nibblesyble

Well Nuke, I always respect your opinions and your wisdom..you know that. And it is true his motives may not have been pure, but it was his choice alone, and if he had not choosen her, we may never have known her on such a massive scale. (which is unthinkable now!)I am not a fan of McCain, but he did serve his country with courage so I don’t eschew him entirely.

              • Nukeman60

I suppose you’re right. He was a war hero, he did sacrifice in captivity for his country, these things will always hold him in good stead. However, as much as it was a great thing to bring forth Sarah Palin, his handlers were controlling him at the time, so I don’t think the choice was his alone. These are the same handlers that turned on Sarah when she went ‘rogue’ (ie, spoke her mind and was honest).

Past history, I guess. I’ll just enjoy Palin in the now, ’cause she ain’t going away, that’s for sure. You betcha. 🙂

      • Sober_Thinking

Agreed. I question his ability to think clearly – especially over this.

Thank you for your kind words. 🙂

      • conservative58

        Ditto….
Thank you Sober_Thinking (and ALL the other vets on this board) for your service!!!!

  • Sober_Thinking

I was a member of the military for 20 yrs. and to get my Secret clearance, the Government talked to my aunt and 2 cousins… not to mention other family members, etc. I was low on the food chain… but for people in the Government itself, this needs to be determined – especially if they have access to damaging information and if they can be compromised. This shouldn’t even be a question to investigate these things.

    • maynardb50

If our Commander in Chief had to pass a Top Secret security clearance review, he would not be President today.

      • MiketheMarine

If he had to pass a Natural Born Citizen review, he would not be president today.

        • Damn straight Mike!

        • You’ve got to stop hanging wallpaper with one arm myMarine! I’ve missed you!

          • MiketheMarine

I know. I miss being social, too, but to remain employed I must do the work of three full time employees. Cest la vie

      • Sober_Thinking

Seriously… I wonder if he ever did pass a Security Screening… he has so many skeletons it’s crazy to think he could. But of course, that leads us down a MUCH darker path… the corruption to pull that off would be unimaginable.

        • Watchman74

Obama’s known associations should have been enough to raise red flags. Either someone wasn’t doing there job or they just didn’t care.

          • They didn’t and still don’t care.

          • NYGino

Obama’s known associations alone would have made it impossible to join the FBI and here he is sitting in our White House.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Duh….I firmly believe that people in sensitive positions in our government MUST BE vetted as to whether they are absolutely loyal to this country or not. Personally I believe there are some right now in government positions that have zero loyalty to the United States of America and are bidding their time until they can take overt actions to disrupt our society. Europe is a prime example. It is having problems with muslims and now have their hands full trying to keep a lid on domestic turmoil.

  • Spartan4Palin

I truly respect the hell out of this man!!! I hope Romney makes him UN Ambassador again, or Secretary of State?

What a treasure and a patriot. Thank you Mr. Bolton from the bottom of my heart!

    • Nukeman60

Make him Sec of State and then dump the UN so we don’t have to worry about an ambassador (at the same time saving untold billions).

  • WordsFailMe

I keep wondering why liberals and communists constantly politicize every event, every murder aver massacre.

I picture, sometime in the future, an occasion of mass cannibalism occurring at a Walmart in a mid-New England state and the liberals tying it to some statement Romney made in 1998 about food stamps.

I think liberals simply do not have any issues to discuss. Their little minds just spin and spin, like hamsters on LSD, and they are desperate for something to say, some flag to wave, some window to break.

    Other than,

“Relieve the poor of their misery by relieving the rich of their wealth!”

they got nuthin’. Not a thing.

    • MiketheMarine

If the hungry would eat the homeless, we’d have two less problems. We aught to be giving them bath salts. Is that heartless ?

      • WordsFailMe

LOL! and ketchup for after shave lotion? hahahaha!

  • denbren52

We are sacrificing the security of our country out of a sense of political correctness. It is total insanity. I like having Mike Rogers as my Congressman but he is dead wrong on this issue. Thank you Mr Bolton for your honesty and clarity on this topic.

    • sDee

I tend to view it from another angle……many corrupt and anti-Americans in positions of power are intentionally sacrificing the security and prosperity of our country to the islamists for thier self interest. They use politcal correctness as the smokescreen.

That, I suspect, is why McCain jumped in so quickly to make a red cape of Huma and Bachmann, hoping to distract us all from the treason in which so many of them are complicit.

      • WordsFailMe

and implying “racism” as a lever- an old white man, like a founder, playing the race card like a cheap, Chicago pimp.

Just when you think progressive Republicans have finally reached the bottom….

  • Bolton is right. What are all these people hiding if they don’t want to undergo a simple security check? Seems like these people are protesting way too much for something that is so simple to do. Are they afraid that, because of political correctness, a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer is now working and possibly influencing the Secretary of State? That would almost be as bad as political correctness being responsible for the Ft. Hood killings, which we now know it was. How many more Americans have to die before we stop letting political correctness get in the way of common sense?

  • Muslim Brotherhood = Americas and all freedom loving people’s enemy… ’nuff said!

  • anyonebutbarry2012

sad what some in this country doing. Panetta honoring muslim americans only at the pentagon last nite. why just them honored?

I listen to Frank Gaffney’s Secure Freedom Radio everyday. It is excellent and I highly recommend it. This interview from yesterday’s show is an excellent example of who Frank speaks with daily.

    John Bolton ROCKS!!!

    Thanks Scoop for this.

  • It’s not surprising that John Bolton would question the gop gang because he GETS IT.

  • It is not just the Mooslum Brotherhood they just want to get rid of Bachmann

  • puma_for_life

It is mystifying. It makes me wonder what they are hiding.

  • Prerequisites only apply to Reublicans and Conservatives, Americans have learned this fact through the Obama era.
We’ve since learned democrat votes and stances on issues surrounding obamas abitions proves the democrat party is completely without integraty, nor are they trust worthy.

  • 911Infidel

Louie Gohmert nailed it the other day, when he referred to the McLame clique as “numbnuts”. Walid Shoebat has laid out the case against Ms Weiner very well, and a few brave members of Congress have thrown down the gauntlet. Imagine if Ms Weiner’s family members were members and leaders in the KKK, how much different the reaction against her would be?

From my own experience in the military, the FBI did an extensive background check on me, interviewing family members, extended family members, neighbors and friends. The military also wanted to know if I was a member of any “subversive organization”. In the case of Ms Weiner, she was most definitely involved in a subversive orginization as is her family. She should never have gotten a clearance in the first place.

  • Nukeman60

“Methinks thou dost protest too much”. It’s fascinating to see who jumps up immediately when someone asks a reasonable question of our policymaking (especially from someone on the Intelligence Committee). Red flags should come out every time someone like Ellison says, “Nothing to see here, folks. Move along now”. But instead, we get McCain, Graham, and other squishy progressives saying, “Now, now, come on. Let’s all get along and put our heads back in the sand. Okay?”

Kudos to Bolton for taking the right stand. It shows he’s ready for the Sec of State job. I know, for sure, that he would never have a family member of the Muslim Brotherhood as one of his advisors. Unthinkable.

  • deeme

Someone might want to look into why they have been spending so much time at the Whitehouse??

  • The answer as to why is right out of the “Rules for Radicals” Lie smear distort and ridicule. Rep. Bachmann has been a thorn in the side of this Administration. The left has a candidate worth over $100 million running against her plus they’ll add their money and Union goons to help take her down. The Media lap dogs that they are and useless Repubs like Boehner and McCain aren’t making it any easier to regain a seat in the House. I wish her well

  • http://spectator.org/archives/2012/07/24/is-huma-abedin-the-new-alger-h The Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated our government, military, intel and education system as per retired military and their contacts in intelligence. We must not let political correctness endanger our way of life and speech.

  • wolfveryne

Big John ,, don’t you know under this Administration ,, you’s supposed to look the utter Way .

John Bolton twice in one week – could get used to this easily.

But for sheer condescension and affront, it would be hard to beat this epistle straight from the minds of the McLame faction. It’s by Boehner’s water carrier over at NRO Robert Costa, on how the little woman Michele Bachmann was given a lollipop after her bid for the Presidency, but got everyone sticky by using it for the good of her country. I’m still reeling from the tone of this article – NRO proves it’s not that far from the MSM in taking orders from its rep. establishment masters:

  • michellej.2010

The only voting block I’m on is whoever is ridding the U.S. of muslim influence, and that’s it.

  • McShame is/was never a hero nor honorable…he couldn’t leave the Hanoi Hilton and be released early without his co-pow cohorts and come back to the states without being shamed by his family and fellow Americans. He’s been nothing but a pain in the a$$ to conservative America since he went to congress.

Rep. Bachmann is doing no more than the job has been sworn to do, unlike the actions of RINOs like Boehner, McCain, Graham, McConnell, etc.

  • I’m surprised to see a member of the GOP establishment like Bolton stick up for Michele Bachmann and her standing up courageously for the truth about the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrating our government instead of what’s politically correct and cowardly like McCain and Boehner. He even looks like Teddy Roosevelt and served under Bush.

  • innocents13

Kudos to Michelle Bachman, the Congressmen who supported her and John Bolton. Looks like there aren’t many courageous Republicans who want to check out infiltration by the Muslim Brotherhood. Time to “man up” as Sarah Palin would say.

Its not just that the Muslim Brotherhood is influencing our government, they are influencing America’s civil society as well.
