The situation in Ukraine is so fragile that even something accidental could set off general hostilities between Ukraine and Russia, says John Bolton. He adds that if Ukraine starts fighting these militants with their military, that’s all the excuse Putin will need to send his troops across the border. And with no real punishment coming Putin’s way for annexing Crimea, Bolton suggests that just emboldens Putin now and he’s just not worried about retaliation from the US or anyone else.
