John “Maverick” McCain is at it again. He has absolutely outraged the Trump twitter online mob by saying that he regrets picking Sarah Palin as his VP in 2008, and also telling friends he doesn’t want Trump at his funeral.
People close to Sen. John McCain have told the White House that the ailing Arizona Republican does not want President Donald Trump to attend his funeral and would like Vice President Mike Pence to come instead, a source close to McCain confirmed to NBC News.
…McCain’s wish for Trump to skip his funeral, first reported Saturday by The New York Times, comes as the two men have had a turbulent relationship, particularly since the 2016 presidential primary when Trump said McCain was considered a war hero only “because he was captured” during the Vietnam War and that Trump preferred military figures who avoided being taken prisoner by the enemy.
Last summer, Trump blasted McCain for his “no” vote that helped doom a key Obamacare repeal bill in the Senate.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said he regrets choosing former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) to be his running mate during the 2008 presidential campaign.
The New York Times reported on Saturday that McCain, while still defending Palin’s performance, said in his upcoming book, “The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and other Appreciations,” that he wishes he had instead selected former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.)
His advisers reportedly had warned against choosing Lieberman, who was once a Democrat, stating that Lieberman’s support of abortion rights could divide Republicans.
“It was sound advice that I could reason for myself,” he writes. “But my gut told me to ignore it and I wish I had.”
McCain is no favorite on this website, but people are really going out of their way to show their character in attacking him as he prepares to die.

I find this all very odd. Trump didn’t go to Barbara Bush’s funeral, he sent Melania. But everyone is offended that McCain doesn’t want him at his? The guy is dying. Who cares who he wants at his funeral? It’s sad and pathetic that people are demanding this guy has to kneel before Trump, even after he’s dead.
I don’t really care for McCain much myself, but the rancor and divisiveness from people who are supposed to be on our “side” is kinda disgusting.
