Justice Sotomayor’s injury sustained a few days ago is worse than was first suspected, according to a statement just now:

More from the Hill:
Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathleen Arberg said in a statement to The Hill that Sotomayor, 63, will sit for arguments next week but curtail activities that require travel.
Sotomayor broke her left shoulder when she fell at her home on Monday morning. The court said Tuesday she would be in a sling for several weeks and undergo physical therapy, but would not miss work.
On Thursday, Arberg said Sotomayor underwent additional testing to further define the left shoulder injury.
“The tests revealed that the fracture of her proximal humerus (the ball of the shoulder joint) is more severe than initially believed,” she said. “Further evaluation will determine treatment of the injury.”
We hope she recovers. These kind of falls are no joke for diabetics, they can cause severe injuries. And of course, it spurs speculation of the possibility that she might step down, which I doubt she wants to do because it would give Trump the option to replace a very liberal member of the court with a conservative like Gorsuch…
