By The Right Scoop

I kept waiting for someone on Fox News Watch to disparage Sarah Palin but they seemed to be all in agreement that it’s refreshing to see someone not give a hoot about the media for a change. In fact the panel of four (2 on the left, 2 on the right) had nothing but good things to say about her and bad things to say about media. Kirsten Powers noted that:

If you look at the MSM there’s just a lot of hostility towards her and, you know, pretty much every thing she does makes them angry. And I think what [Sarah Palin] said is exactly right that she owes them nothing, she does not have to play by their rules, and it’s actually kind of refreshing to see somebody who just says ‘screw you’ to these people who treat her like garbage.

Now that’s refreshing!

Scoop, I will agree that overall Fox has been good to Sarah. But still, I did not get it yesterday when Shep Smith and Carl Cameron were referring to Governor Palin as Contributor Palin. Shouldn’t that be Former Alaska Governor and Fox News Contributor Sarah Palin?

    • http://princesssachiko.tumblr.com/ Super Sachiko

yeah only SOME of fox is good for palin.

    • RefudiateObama2012

Cameron is the doofus who gleefully reported that Palin thought Africa was a country and that she opened her hotel room wearing a robe during the 2008 campaign, not knowing that both stories were put out by a non-existent campaign staffer.

Smith is just a liberal a-hole.

      • http://www.therightscoop.com LibertyHawk

Cameron is also the one who broke the 3PM embargo and leaked th One Nation Bus Tour.

      • Cindy08

Whenever Cameron comes on, I get the impression that he is a heavy drinker.

        • Cindy08

          Cool-aid!!

        • Annie

and I think he is a thumb sucker. It’s his teeth.

          • Cindy08

            I totally agree! :)

      • sDee

You pegged both of those wet weasels. They envy and despise her.

    • Annie

Shep Smith and Carl Cameron are the ‘other side’ of fair and balanced. They are a couple of the liberals in the group – don’t you remember Cameron’s gossip about Palin right after the 2008 election – positively gleeful to report any dirt campaign workers could dredge up, or make up about her. Double yuk on both those guys, but no surprise. Contributor Palin indeed…

kirsten powers? usually i dont like her but this is spot-on!

    • sybilll

I agree. Kirsten can be counted on to call out misogyny, regardless of party. Aside from that, we part ways.

    • sDee

She does seem to be figuring Palin out faster than most leftist drones. Players like Powers do not stand on any principle other than serving the political class that feeds them.

These pundits all seem to be jockeying for they 2012 consultancies and role to play in 2012 election cycle.

The stalwarts have run out of gas. It is hard to get invited to Fox segments simply defending Barack Hussein Obama and the great march to Statism.

I suspect the bright ones know Palin is running and is a force to be reckoned with.

    • publius

It is spot on, and I still don’t like her.

    • Annie

She’s also from Alaska… but then so is Lisa Murkowski.

  • http://doorwaybuck.com CM Sackett

Shep Smith is a token pile of demoCRAP on FOX.

    “Fair and Balanced”.

If that type of excrement (along with his loose-poop twin, Alan Colmes) is what is required on the scales for ‘balance’…

    …I’d rather be LOP-SIDED!
    Sackett

    • madtrucker

Got to agree with that one.

    • linky1

Shep Smith is just like Bill O’Reilly-a bloviating pinhead, in love with the sound of his own voice.

  • https://imastrawman.wordpress.com/ imastrawman

Quite the contrast between Sarah and Anthony Weiner.
Wiener – Look at me everybody! Look at my amazing twitter follower count! Anyone want to talk about my junk?

Palin – meh, follow me if you want but I feel no obligation to tell you where my bus is going.

    • Conservative_Hippie

I agree with you, but please don’t name AW and Sarah in the same sentence again; he is not worthy!

      • https://imastrawman.wordpress.com/ imastrawman

ah, good point… mea culpa! Scoop has done a good job of keeping this site a relatively Wiener free zone… My bad!

  • MichaelAndrewAlaniz

Sarah will tell us if she’s going to run or not!!!! No one cares what feeling you have of whether or not she’s going to run.

  • m_quick

Is it just me, or did Kristen Powers suddenly get a lot hotter.

    • Annie

Blonder. She’s on Fox, after all.

  • 22227

    Yes it is refreshing!

  • TeaPartyPatriot4ever

I can’t believe that Kirsten Powers actually said that, as a far leftwing liberal Fox News pundit-cater.. as that is what refreshing.. to hear liberals say the truth for once, and admit they’re being beat by the very person whom they have nothing but disdain and rampant rabid foaming-at-the-mouth, hatred for.. which maked Gov. Palin’s succesful Tour, all the more sweet, especially when she turns it on in the 20102 Presaidential campaign.. musing the same tactics and strategy of bypassing and ignoring the MSM press, which will just make even more radib with hatred, as they see the one whom they hate the most, beat and best them, by going around them, and ignoring them, by going straight to the American People.

I love it.!! You Go Sarah.!!!

The lame stream media under estimated Sarah Palin. She’s very shrewd and they hate it.

  • linky1

I think Kirsten Powers kind of softened after her smackdown by Megyn Kelly. Maybe our Megyn actually knocked some right sense into her brain with that dressing down…..

  • bugsy

If I remember correctly, when Michelle Malkin first started HotAir, she had a little “chat” video show that was sort of a conservative version of “The View”. I am pretty sure that Kirsten Powers was on that show. Maybe she was supposed to be their left-wing Elizabeth Hasselbeck, I don’t know. In any case, she does seem to have some connections and/or friendships with conservatives, as do many people on both the left and the right (See Mary Matalin and James Carville), so she is not a total libtard.

  • cnation

Powers has seen her unsupportable liberal positions torn to shreds on live television so many times over the past two years that perhaps she’s starting to awaken. Not that I would put money on it just yet, but I’ve definitely noticed less of a kookishly left slant to her opinions lately….and at times (like this one) she’s even managed to sound downright reasonable.

  • biam

THat’s because she’s held to a different standard. She doesn’t have to actually advocate and defend a coherent policy position because she’s … well, Sarah Palin. And if she gets something wrong, then it’s the “lamestream media” conspiring to make her look bad.

Nice to be able to take no responsibility for yourself at all hey Palin?
