Ever since the Harvey Weinstein tsunami of sexual harassment overtook Hollywood and various other industries, some have reminded us of the “Pence Rule,” and how liberals mocked what could have completely prevented all of this.
And yet, some still resist the blindingly obvious truth of that statement because they want to be offended.

So the OBSCENELY stupid part of this critique is that Pence rule, simply that Mike Pence doesn’t allow himself to drink and be alone with women who aren’t his wife, is not to keep him from RAPING WOMEN.
The rule is to prevent EVEN THE APPEARANCE of impropriety. That’s how much Pence values his marriage.
But morons need to destroy anything even remotely based on religious values, so Powers has to pretend that the rule has to do with men who are unable to rape women otherwise.

To be fair, the context of Pence's "rule" wasn't sexual harassment or assault; it was remaining faithful to his wife and the avoidance of extramarital affairs, at least as I understood it. Its application here is a non-sequitur (not KP's fault, she's responding to it).
