Krauthammer says Trump has laid WASTE to the vision of Ronald Reagan

Chuck Krauthammer explained something very interesting about Trump’s inaugural speech about foreign policy.

It’s really worth listening to:

It’s funny because Chris Matthews freaked out and called his speech “Hitlerish” but after that insanity, he made the exact same point that Krauthammer did about the “special relationship” between the United States and Britain. Trump has turned his back on the vision of Reagan because the kind of muscular foreign policy he advocated in the eighties was proactively trying to make more people free from tyranny. After his success, and then decades of mediocre advances on that vision, the country is in a mood to maintain a muscular military, but never use it.

That’s not necessarily a criticism. But it’s where we’re at, and unfortunately, some people are taking that to mean we have to purposely advocate for Putin and other world powers to take the reins from us and run amuck in the world. It appears that after decades of being a light of freedom for the world, we’re putting a basket over our light, to keep it to ourselves.

It is interesting to note that Krauthammer says this speech is 25 years too late, as if he agrees with Trump.
