Krauthammer was on Fox News this morning suggesting that either outcome, a Trump victory or a Trump loss, will be perilous for the current Republican Party:
If Trump wins, Krauthammer says Trump will irreversibly change the Republican Party from a conservative party to a populist party.
If Trump loses, Krauthammer predicts that Trump will not walk away, but will stick around and become a kingmaker via the new populist movement he’s created.
With Trump representing the new populist portion of the party and Paul Ryan representing the Reaganite version of the party, Krauthammer said the civil war to determine who controls the party will begin on Wednesday.
Well isn’t that just depressing.
