My good friend Alec Baldwin wants you to know that Woody Allen got a bad rap and everyone needs to look at the details closer before declaring him a child molester.
Woody Allen was investigated forensically by two states (NY and CT) and no charges were filed. The renunciation of him and his work, no doubt, has some purpose. But it’s unfair and sad to me. I worked w WA 3 times and it was one of the privileges of my career.

What Baldwin fails to note is that law enforcement only pursue cases they think they can win. That they didn’t press charges is not a sign of innocence, only that they don’t think they can prove guilt.
He then retweeted this dissenting account from Moses Farrow:
“My mother’s worst nightmare was that one of the kids would one day break from the clan and start speaking out.” -- @MosesFarrow#IBelieveMoses@MiaFarrow @RonanFarrow @RealDylanFarrow https://t.co/0rjO0m7L9c

And this:
As I'm facing the lingering psychological and emotional effects of child abuse, I'm sadly reminded of the painful memories of my 3 dead siblings, last of whom shot himself just the next town over from where our mother lives. Futures that will never be lived. #truthislouder

Is it possible to support survivors of pedophilia and sexual assault/abuse and also believe that WA is innocent?

I think so.
The intention is not to dismiss or ignore such complaints. But accusing ppl of such crimes should be treated carefully. On behalf of the victims, as well.
Well, I’ll say this – if Woody Allen needed a reasonable, rational defender, Alec Baldwin is the worst representative…
