Liberal Hysteria: Lawyer Tweets his wish that Betsy DeVos be sexually assaulted.

Austin lawyer Rob Ranco became internet famous, or infamous, today for tweeting how super okay he would be with Education Secretary Betsy DeVos getting sexually assaulted.

His rancor comes from his apparent dissatisfaction with the Trump administration rollback of Obama’s draconian Title IX decree.

Under the regime established by the Obama administration, a student could be accused of sexual assault and a) not be fully informed of the charge, b) allowed to see the evidence, c) allowed to question his accuser, d) allowed to have legal assistance and his guilt would be decided by a single administration official, usually one of the ‘diversity’ types on the bases of “preponderance of evidence.” In fact, presumption of innocence was not part of the deal.

The return to the principles of innocent until proven guilty were apparently intolerable to tolerant liberal Ranco, and he made sure people knew it. He said he’d be fine with her being raped, basically, but claimed he didn’t “wish” it, which claim he subsequently proved false in follow-up tweets. It didn’t go well for him.

After being pilloried on Twitter, the democrat-minded lawyer locked his Twitter account so no one could tweet at him or follow him. Soon thereafter, he deleted his account.

He said it out loud, and now he’s gone. But how many people who buy into the hysteria are still thinking it? Will anyone act on it? I don’t know. But I wouldn’t recommend baseball practice in the near future. Democrats are getting pretty out of hand.
