Lindsey Graham: Congratulations to Obama, he won and I’ll vote for his tax increases

This is exactly why I don’t like Lindsey Graham. It’s like having a minute left at the end of a football game where his team is a touchdown behind with the season on the line and he’s on the sidelines congratulating the other coach for playing a great game. Ugh! He even admits later that this deal does nothing for the country, yet he’s gonna vote for a tax increase because of politics, saying on national TV that Obama won and even congratulated him.

Lindsey Graham is exactly what is wrong with the Republican Party. A bunch of dang smushes.

    Graham is dead wrong.

Obama is a fraud and the election was fraudulent and full of irregularities, such as illegals voting and people voting multiple times using variations of their names and multiple residences.

Obama was unqualified to run in 2008 as well as 2012. He is the alleged son of a Kenyan foreign national and the adoptive son of an Indonesian national and went to school as a foreign student.

Obama’s entire administration has been one of pillage and exploitation of America and its citizens.

    • warpmine

…….Graham is a fraud as well and needs to be swiftly hung on a yard arm. Why did the people of S Carolina vote to keep this guy when a Demonrat would have done better in terms of the country’s destruction?

Cf I completely agree with you , Obama is a complete FRAUD . As for L.Graham it is time for the Tea Party Patriots to remove these RINOS fom there positions of power.”(period)

      • Don

I totally agree, libertyusa. Graham’s only claim to fame is being John McCain’s lapdog. He is a babbling fool RINO and has helped destroy the republican party. I have strong feelings about a state that will elect a coservative like Jim DeMint as senator and then a piece of human garbage lIke Lindsey Grahamnesty as the other senator. This does not compute.

      • We had better deal with the electronic election fraud, or we won’t have a chance at changing our the establishment.

    • Joe

“Draining the Swamp” should commence immediately!

Starting with Zero, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, etc.

We need experienced business people running the country not these Idiots!

But the left just cries “Racist” when these facts are thrown in their faces. The whole government could have just voted on EXTENDING the tax increases and pushing the so-called “fiscal cliff” date to a later date, but they USED the timing of it to create drama and false urgency for political expediency. THROW ALL THE BUMS OUT!

      • Rightstuff1

I think I’m going to become a racist just for the hell of it. I’m branded as one at every possible turn whether I have ever or never made a racist comment or discriminated or not discriminated against anyone in my lifetime.

As my dear mother used to say “you might as well be hung for a sheep as for a lamb”. I wonder if these liberal pigs would actually recognize true racism if it hit them in the nose or if the are merely flatulently (new verb/adverb) expressing their nonsense. Methinks that I give too much credit when I ascribe the human capacity of thought to these venomous cheerleaders of hate.

    • las1

I do believe there, conniption my friend, that you have received the most likes I have ever seen on RS. I could be wrong, and I’m sure Scoop has the stats… but your comment was one impressive rant. Kudos…. and I’ll add ten more to your “likes”.

      Wise and correct…….

Graham’s response in this matter, is one among many reasons on how and why US debt becomes uncontrollably high.

Not sure why SC keeps voting for this moron. I sure as hell didn’t vote for him.

  • StrangernFiction

    It isn’t about R vs. D.

Right – the US government is a mutual political blackmail and palm-greasing society.

If the GOP wasn’t a pack of liars…

        A) Issa would have brought SOMEONE to trial in his half dozen plus “Investigations”; Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, Countrywide, Fast & Furious… the list goes on… All talk, no action. Just seeking face time never justice.

        B) They’d have resurrected Glass/Steigel which was killed by GOP authored legislation. It was the key to the corruption of the American financial system. They know it but they’re in the tank no less than Geithner and Rubin.

        C) They would have never proposed the Medicare Prescription Drug program. If Romney/Ryan, and Newt for that matter, weren’t typical GOP phonies they would have called for its repeal. The unfunded deficit since these liars passed it is now over $18,000,000,000,000. Obamacare is a BARGAIN compared to Bush’s medical plan.

        D) Someone in the Republican Party would have made passing mention that Holder let UBS off the hook for funding the Drug Cartels for the last few decades without a single indictment. Both parties of DC mafiosi have demonstrated the War on Drugs is an expensive piece of theater. They’re working for the other side.

      • NYGino

That’s as good a definition of our current government as I’ve ever heard.

‘A political victory to the President. Hats off to the President’ – Graham

This is not a game. This is our lives you’re playing with. It isn’t a round of golf with Barry and Boehner. You don’t say, “nice job. Let’s go get a beer.”

‘I’ll want to vote for it, even though I don’t like it, ’cause the country’s got a lot at stake here.’ – Graham

Really? You want to vote for higher taxes, ’cause that’s surely the way to bring down the debt, balance the deficit, and keep us from going over the hyperinflation cliff. NOT. Stop the spending and quit making funny paper.

    • badbadlibs

People like graham don’t care about our lives, with that tax increase his benefits are sure to continue.

      • Orangeone

Of course he’s going to vote for the tax increases, they will barely cover the raises they were all just given.

        • badbadlibs

I forgot about that! I was telling my husband yesterday that the people comprising our government are the absolute worst in the history of this country. They seem to know no shame, not any of them on either side of the isle. Naturally the demoncrats are the worst of the worse.

    • PatrickHenrysBody

So the march of the useless RINOs continue. The line separating the RINOs from the leftist Democraps is getting more blurred by the second. Heck, the line is being erased. I am not seeing much of a difference between the Republicants and Democraps.

      • Nukeman60

That’s a good point. The farther left the Democrats go, the farther left the RINOs go to keep within distance. With a country slightly right of center, the Republicans way left of center, and the Dems extreme left, it’s no wonder the LameStream can convince people that the Conservatives are wacko far right. To them, we are far right, and that’s a good thing, as far as I’m concerned.

      • mark1955

There is no “Line” and hasn’t been for at least 20 years if not longer. This is all being done as part of a plan by Both parties and their oligarch Bankster Masters Rockefeller/Rotschilds,to destroy this Great Country from the inside,so they can have there “New World Order,One World Government”. The repubs could have stopped everything, but instead alway’s got at least one person to step forward to help Obama and the dems pass their agenda. that’s no accident but Treasonous complicity. Now they are about to put the finishing touches on their Final Betrayal. That being helping Obama get his Firearms legislation, which will quite possibly lead to a Horrific Civil War.

We need a new party and we need it now!

        • PatrickHenrysBody

If Zero pushes the country into a civil war, we won’t need a third party. There may very well be only one party afterwards…hopefully, not represented by a hammer and sickle.

    • BlueGood

“Civilization begins when the strong finally realize they have a duty to protect the weak. That duty is the foundation of civilization, the bedrock on which everything else rests”.

For centuries we, the people, have abdicated our duty to a few strong men. Rule us we said, and do not steal too much. Do not be too corrupt, do not betray us too much, do not shame us beyond endurance. Protect the weak, the elderly, the helpless, the sick, and the very young, protect them from those who would prey upon them. And protect us. If you grant us protection, you may steal a little, enough to become filthy rich, as long as you do not rub our faces in it”.

I wish I could lay claim to these words, but alas a man far more eloquent than I has wrote them in a book….his character, a man of God, was speaking of CUBA, but he was speaking of Tyranny!

While the book is one of fiction, the words in the above passage, I feel are so apropo to what we are facing from our so-called democratically elected officials, the “stealing” and rubbing it in our faces has become to much to ignore, the TEA Party has recognized this and Sarah Palin recognized this, I had recognized this long ago as well, which is why I boldly faxed Sarah Palin from Ontario to her office in Alaska before she resigned….to offer my support and advice she ignore the Lame Stream media because they were deathly afraid of her….

I believe we must make sure the TEA Party Patriots regain control of the house and the Senate and the White House to remove those that steal to much, those that “rub our faces in it”.

I believe the Tea Party is, and always has been, the “Silent Majority” of decent folks who “Trusted” our elected…..kept their nose to the proverbial grindstone and did not make waves….paid their taxes, grumbled about the latest Leftoid outrage, were appalled at the cronyism, the “fixed” deals and court cases, but still remained stoic & silent.

      NO MORE!

I feel we must continue to rally more and more TEA PARTY like people to ACTION!

The RINO’s, the LEFT and the ESTABLISHMENT Republicans ARE deathly afraid of people like you and me and Stephen Coonts’ character….

Why not show them WHY?…Why not take over by their rules, all they covet and have corrupted?….. It is the Civilized route and one of truth!

BTW….Any Author who publishes a book that refers to a “Crock of Schit” as a “Crock of Pelosi” IMHO is a CONSERVATIVE…..I will read..even if his is fiction….

‘Stephen Coonts’ does a very good conservative tale, but his above quote in “CUBA’, hit me as quite relevant…..

      Happy New Year Scoopers!

      • Nukeman60

I have said since the election that we need to do three things to retake this great nation and return it to it’s former glory.

        1) Expose the LameStream for what they are (use the citizen journalists to get to the majority of uninformed populace).

        2) Break the election fraud (secure the election process) that has been slowly growing for a long time (if millions of people can use ATM’s every day without fraud, the voting process should be a snap).

        3) Start a new party (the Republicans are dead to us). The Tea Party is a grand start. They have the groundgame. We need to combine the forces of all the conservatives groups out there to beat both the Democratic liberals and the RINO progressives.

It’s time. We have nothing to lose anymore.

  • aposematic

Why does this remind me of Neville Chamberlain kissing Hitlers rearend in some self inflicted peace fantasy. How long after did Hitler wait before invading Poland…not long.

    • Orangeone

Or Holland. The German Jews moved to Holland, a neutral country, and Hitler came right across the border and invaded.

  • Smushes!

  • Kordane

Is this the standard now? All you have to do is win an issue politically, and automatically everyone should go with it. No consideration for liberty, no consideration for individual rights, no consideration for morality – Just EXPEDIENCY! >_<

    This man makes me sick.

    • badbadlibs

You summed up what’s wrong with the powers in Washington, nicely.
Of course, that standard only applies to liberal demoncrats, if a real conservative republican had won…well, that’s a different story all together.

  • Surrender Monkey!

  • Well, it’s not the same issue, but I had to revisit this… I love the way Ann rips Grahamnesty a new one.

“A Player”! And that is exactly what Lindsey Grahamesty is a “Player!” I mean he even says that himself! He and all of the RINOs play the game of politics so often that they have no principles. I sure hope that the people of SC are listening and get this “Player” out of office!

The GOP is the party of cowards. We The People need to inform Mr. Graham that he works for us not Barky Boy.

  • RocklinConservative

Didn’t listen to the video because Graham really bothers me … but I completely agree with your commentary!

    • SineWaveII

Go back and listen to it. But listen carefully. Pay attention after “hats off to the president” you’ll be surprised at what he’s really saying I think. Especially to this sentence: “And the SAD NEWS FOR the COUNTRY IS that we’ve ACCOMPLISHED VERY LITTLE in terms of NOT BECOMING GREECE or GETTING OUT OF DEBT””

  • Rocco11

South Carolina of all places sends this D-bag to the Senate repeatedly, I could almost understand Maine or Massachusetts, but SC? C’mon people, get it together…

  • Sandra123456

Graham out to step out of the closet.

  • M_J_S

That’s true. Just come out and be honest: he married his sister. We understand, just let the truth set ye’ free.

  • You want to know why the GOP is a party that loses. Lindsay Graham. Until they purge this mental midgets and gutless cowards like him, from their ranks, they will continue to be slapped around in Washington DC, and not taken seriously outside the beltway.

Most Americans either vote for the Democrats or against them, the GOP is just the only other choice….that needs to change.

Granted there are a few men of dignity in the GOP but they are the exception to the rule.

Its time to blow up the GOP and start over. They have become the Whigs. The lack of leadership within the party has become comical and pathetic.

Obama won because he was running against a rejected brand…..and freedom will continue to lose out to statist hacks as long as its only representation is the GOP.

The beltway GOP is as guilty for America’s decline as the Democrats.

There is no more time, we either take the GOP back or start a new party….now. Its going to take serious men and women to save America at this point, and back benchers like Lindsay Graham are standing in our way.

I no longer call myself a Republican. I cannot belong to a group that includes “men” such as Lindsay Graham.

We are out of time folks.

    • virginiagentleman1

      Very well said, Alec.

    • aposematic

“Most Americans either vote for the Democrats or against them, the GOP is just the only other choice….that needs to change.”

So true! If not an alternative, the R’s would be mostly worthless…oh, wait!

    • Very well said Alec. There are a lot of us who feel the same. The time is now, back to the Constitution, the way the Founders intended, a government by, for and of regular people. Check this out, we’re brand new, but growing. If you’re intersted, we’re also on facebook
We’re working on a website, but not up yet. Soon.

    • PhillyCon

You want to know why the GOP is a party that loses.

Exactly what I was thinking when I first read the blurb. We have people on “our side” just bursting at the seams to capitulate at the drop of a hat. It’s like they are almost giddy to kiss the you know what of the Leftists.

I have never seen Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid act this way when George Bush was re-elected.

  • aposematic

Disgusting! Its exactly idiot logic like this that brought the R’s to there knees and keeps them there. Obuma knows all he has to do to win is wait for the Republicans to kiss his ring and, like this disgusting display by Graham, grovel in the process with sputtering praise.

  • I have said all along, since 11-7, that the gop needs to voice their objections, note on the record what the policies will do, and vote PRESENT.
    make the dems OWN it.

    • SineWaveII

It seems like that’s exactly what Graham is doing here.

      • I don’t know, TBH I do not respect him enough to give him the benefit of the doubt.
if he votes present I will admit to being wrong but I suspect he will vote yes (or whatever is needed to support it) w/o showing the bad.

  • colliemum

He looks exactly like a smush!
That’s a nice new word, for me, btw. I like it and shall use it for our lot … like Dave Cameron, for starters, who looks just like that!

    • ImaThinkn

IOW, a Caspar Milquetoast!!! I can’t STAND the guy! I can’t stand ANYONE who isn’t doing anything to resist the crap those Democrats try to implement. Do THEY go along with Republicans when Republicans win? A-holes like Graham are not much better than Democrats themselves.

  • I just don’t understand why Republicans are afraid of voting for NOT increasing taxes? And if the president is determined to raise taxes on 2% of the population even though it won’t do anything to reduce either our national debt or deficit, why should we agree to that at all? Let Obama OWN the tax hikes on everybody. We should be making the case to the majority of voters who voted for Obama that if they want to live in the socialist paradise that Obama envisions for this country, then they can help pay for it. Let’s see how much they love Obama after they have to kick in for the benefits they are getting. If they do NOT want to pay for it, then they need to vote for whoever will reduce spending in Washington. But until they come to that conclusion, let the Obama voters have some skin in the game and help pay for the social-welfare state they seem to want so badly.

  • BeyondPolls

We need Trey Gowdy in the Senate.

    • virginiagentleman1

Actually, I think Gowdy would be a great Speaker of the House. That lad has enough spine to brace up quite a few of his weakkneed peers.

      • poljunkie

I love Trey Gowdy. Anything he wants to do is fine by me. Speaker would be fantastic!

        Happy New Year VirginiaGent!

I love Trey Gowdy but if he is Speaker he cannot remain on the Oversight Committee and right now I want him in that driver’s seat going after Holder, Obama and Clinton.

        • virginiagentleman1

I understand your point my friend, but as Speaker he will be able to SET the agenda for each committee and sub-committee. Speaker of the House is a very powerful position in the right hands and is second in line to the presidency after the vp. Would you rather have Boehner or Gowdy in such a place?

BTW, Happy New Year to you and yours! VG

          • Orangeone

Happy New Year to you VG!  I would rather keep Trey Gowdy where he is until Fast and Furious and Benghazi are resolved.  I’d like to see Boehner kicked to the curb and Louis Gohmert as Speaker of the House. Would appreciate yours and others insight on Mr. Gohmert.

            • virginiagentleman1

I would willingly accept Mr. Gohmert. He is a take no prisoners kind of fighter, and that is what the office of Speaker requires in these trying times. Not to mention that, just like Gowdy, behind that soft southern persona and voice lies a razor shape mind that will cut his adversaries to pieces! Again, JUST what is needed! VG

              • Orangeone

I’m thinking (and praying) he is our next SOH.  He was the only one to publicly stand against Boehner.

  • c4pfan

You are putting it too nice about this guy and I knew from day one that the GOP would cave. They ALWAYS do.

  • RedDaveR

Can’t wait for the 2014 SC GOP primary. I hope the Tea Party can find a good candidate to primary this RINO.

  • Nukeman60

Let’s hit this ‘fiscal cliff’. Coming to a deal now is like going over the cliff and being stopped by the first outcropping over the cliff. We’ll just bounce off of it and continue down. Bush will be known as the President who gave the people a tax cut and Obama will then be known as the President who took them away.

Politically, is there a problem with that? Fiscally, is there any difference, if we don’t stop the spending? End of story.

  • SineWaveII

I don’t like Lindsey Graham and I generally don’t trust him since he’s pretty much a 14k RINO however that being said. I think I see a little logic behind what he’s doing.

It seems like he knows that the tax hike is inevitable now (after all people voted for it) and he’s doing his best to make sure that Obama owns it.
Since we who understand economics know that this tax hike (even if it’s only on “the rich”) is going to push the economy back into recession (thus leading us into depression at the end of the business-cycle) it’s important to hang Obama’s name on it every chance they get.
If that’s what Graham is doing, it’s not a bad thing.

TO support my argument consider this quote and notice my emphasis:
“Hats off to the president, he stood his ground, he’s going to get TAX RATE INCREASES maybe not at 250 but on upper income Americans. And the SAD NEWS FOR the COUNTRY IS that we’ve ACCOMPLISHED VERY LITTLE in terms of NOT BECOMING GREECE or GETTING OUT OF DEBT”. (Remember that Obama is claiming that his tax hike will do both of these things)
“This deal WON’T AFFECT the DEBT SITUATION. It will be a POLITICAL victory FOR THE PRESIDENT. And I hope we’ll (the republicans) have the courage of our convictions when it comes time to raise the debt ceiling- (that means not raise it again without real concessions from the democrats IMO) -to fight for what we believe as republicans. But HATS OFF TO THE PRESIDENT …HE ‘WON’.

This was not a compliment to Obama. This was a slap in his face and an attempt to pin his name on the coming catastrophe. As well it should be.

    • kloyd0306

      An interesting angle for sure….

But, if you look at Grahamnesty’s history, he has always been on the side of compromise. He was part of the Gang of 14 (7 Rs and 7 Ds) – the compromisers. He’s seems rather keen to “reach a deal” instead of standing on principal.

      Look where compromise gets us………..

      • SineWaveII

I know. I said I don’t trust him. But in this one case, I think people are misinterpreting what he said.

    • Orangeone

The Repubs need to go over the cliff as Kraut said and tie all this together with the debt ceiling. The cliff hikes will cause very little harm for one month or so. And the Repubs need to be on TV every day saying they are working to lower spending and permanently lower tax rates because taxpaying Americans deserve to be properly represented.

  • He’s just trying to maintain a position of power after what happens next in every previously existing dictatorship or communist/socialist takeover.

  • kssturgis62

You would think coming up for Re Election – that he would show his more conservative side, and say NO. Lindsey Grahamnesty should have switched to being liberal a long time ago. Maybe then South Carolina would have done something to get rid of him.

The same thing will happen, the tea party will come in with a great nominee, the republican establishment, will do to the nominee, what the liberals will also do to him. ATTACK.

Lugar did it to Mourdock, and for pete sake he didn’t even live in Indiana, and he was their senator. Mourdock lost because of Republicans wanting to maintain power.

the Parties have melded, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE, we MUST get Voter ID passed, and WE MUST form a third party, or take over the Conservative Party, and get these people nominated and start winning elections !!! Enough of this you must vote Republican in order to win.

My gosh wake up your voting for the same idiots that get taken over and pushed out by someone who is a Republican.

  • Lindsey Graham is a huge pile of sh!t. Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell can join him while their stench stews. They only care about their own power and could give 2 sh!ts about a single American. The #LIBTARDS are just as bad for a myriad of reasons, but let’s just agree we are all effed!

  • poljunkie

    What a pansy.

You’re right Scoop; Sen. Graham is an example of what’s wrong with the Republican party. The question is do we the people have the chutzpah to rid ourselves of the RINOS? Until they are forced out of office nothing will change.

  • Hacker5988

This guy is a disgrace. The TP, Club for Growth and especially conservatives of SC need to see this guy gets primaried in 2014 and lose. Graham, McConnell,Boehner, Cantor represents everything wrong with the current R party along with other RINOs in the establishment R party. People like Chambliss (GA), Alexander(TN) McConnell (KY) all need to be primaried in 2014. Right now you have one DEM party in DC with Right and Left branches and that who is suppose to represent the people of the US. BS and Graham and others need to go asap !

    • PhillyCon

It’s pretty sad the number of liberals from red states.

  • TimeForAnarchy

Better update the ole’ resume, Lindsey. I think your tenure in the Senate is about to end next term. We’re not going to put up with weak-kneed cowards in the face of a Moooozlem dictator.

    • proudhispanicconservative

      Check that “gay-weak-kneed cowards”

  • NJK

He doesn’t understand his job does he? Good grief, he has to be primaried. We deserve better than this. He’s embarrassing.

  • mediaaccess1

How many years is 1 trillion seconds?
Answer: 31688.087814028950237026896848937 years – America owes 17+ of these.

    • sjmom

That’s a long time and they’re playing around in DC???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sober_Thinking

Lindsey Graham has never really been a Republican. He’s a politician first and foremost and would likely pull an Arlen Spector if he needed to in order to stay in Washington. I never liked or trusted him before and when he pulls spineless nonsense like this, it only goes to show that my lack of favor in him was well-founded. He and his spineless capitulator friend McCain need to voted out of there. America needs serious people in Washington… not posers, liars, and folders.

Obama ONLY wins… ONLY… because he has the criminally corrupt media in his pocket letting him get away literally with murder.

    • Orangeone

He also WINS because the RINOs in the House lack the spine to initiate impeachment proceedings.

      • Sober_Thinking

Spot on… they are spineless wastes of skin.

Until we rid ourselves of these vermin, the Democrats will step all over them and America – unopposed.

Obama should be in jail many times over.

        • Orangeone

I tweeted the twit and gave him a piece of my mind, spineless amoeba

          • Sober_Thinking

I’d like to give him a piece of my foot… if you catch my meaning.

            • Orangeone

You Tube it please 🙂  Surely to have 1 m hits within minutes

    • 57thunderbird

Totally agree.Graham and McCain both fold like cheap suits.

  • WhiteGuy2

This is precisely why I no longer consider myself a Republican. Additionally, this is why republican voters need to vette their representatives. Don’t vote for them just because they put an R in front of their name, because you could end up with another Lindsey.

  • mark1955

Virtually the entire repub legislature and Establishment,is left wing and fully onboard Obama and the NWO One World Government agenda. The repubs aren’t caving at all. They are complicit Traitors and are only pretending to be Conservative. They have helped Obama pass everything, when they could have stopped everything, including Obamacare in committee.

In that interview Graham also mentioned he was “GoingTo oppose any Assault Weapon’s Ban”. There you go. More theatre as cover for him caving on the “Fiscal Cliff” so he can pretend to sound Conservative. That also should tell you that they have been vote trading andhave enough repub votes to help Obama pass an assault Weapon’s Ban. The usual squish Graham, got released to oppose Obama on Assault Weapon’s, because they are going to have Grassley and some other repub at the very least, vote for the Ban. Make no mistake, the repubs in the House who could easily bury any anti-Assault Weaon legislation will pass it. That will be the absolute Final Betrayal. WE have to start a New Third Party to replace the repubs. They cannot be reformed. They are Rotten to the core! We also under NO circumstances allow ourselves to turn in any of our Firearms!

    • virginiagentleman1

As always, well said my friend. VG

      • mark1955

Thank you. There is almost something Great about having the repubs about to hand us the Final Betrayal,in that there are no longer any more illusion’s that we can effect any kind of change through them. They are Finished! They have most definitively reached ‘Whig’party status and have to be replaced as soon as possible. We are going to need a New Party and a New Conservative Leader to lead us through the, what i unfortunately believe is the Horror we are about to face. Needless to say i believe we will come out the Winner’s when all is said and done.

        • proudhispanicconservative

Where is Ted Cruz, or Marco Rubio, or the hopes for the republican party? No where, they are a no show.

          • Patriot077

Ted Cruz hasn’t even taken his seat yet and I hope he is as exceptional as we think he is … but Marco is lying low for sure probably not wanting to “risk” his future possibilities.

    • marketcomp

Are we to assume that weapons assault people by using the term “assualt weapons”. I have not seen one weapon that assualts anyone. If we change the language and say use semi-automatic weapons or automatic weapons does that mean guns shoot instantly or quickly? No,it does not. A person puts that process in motion so perhaps this will force the democrats to address the mentally distrubed person behind the gun. Maybe. Moreover, lets get to the foundation and arguments that the founders presented for the individual right to bare arms. Now, that will explain the importance of the 2nd amendment.

      • proudhispanicconservative

The only problem is that they are not capable of articulating or defending what the founding fathers intended when they created the right to bear arms, I have more faith that the Jets will make the playoffs then having republicans articulating anything.
(The Jets were eliminated from the playoffs).

        • marketcomp

You know this could be a good time, over the holidays, for the republicans to bone-up on the reasons why the 2nd amendment is in the Constitution and share it with their colleges. I mean it’s like the Constitution is not even apart of the debate when most of the questions and answers are found there.

  • 57thunderbird

The RINO needs to go.Come on SC!You can do better.

  • Surely, South Carolina can do better than this tool… how about Senator Trey Gowdy? Sounds good to me.

    • proudhispanicconservative

sounds great…. or senator Nikki Haley.

  • Orangeone

Lindsey Graham just tweeted this: The assault weapons ban didn’t work then. It’s not going to work now. I will oppose it.

Do you believe him? Yeah, me either.

  • NYGino

I watched him say this this morning and the first thing I said was “I can’t believe what I just heard” and the second thing I said was “Yes I can”.

  • clockwindingdown

limpy, there’s something on your nose, brown or white I’m not sure but I’m guessing whatever it is, is illegal.

Winning an election does not mean free rein, if it did then limpy, you would not be needed as the potus could do as he pleases. Apparently your new way of represnting is to vote present, let bad laws and legislation go through that you are exempt from. You and your redundant go along to get along crowd have constantly caved, on just about every issue. Those few things you haven’t caved on were merely a distraction from the man behind the curtain that you chose to play the game with, so things could be done without people knowing, you have sold the citizenry into tyranny.

I’m guessing, and this is based purely on you tenure and lack of spine that you’ve spent to many hours hanging out in the senate shower room fantasizing. Maybe some cold water on your face and public humiliation along with confiscation of all your ill gotten gains would be a reality check.

You see we don’t like you. We don’t like your type. We don’t trust you. You have no idea what everyday people go through. You are the people that created all the problems this country faces. By placing us in this situation you have shown your value to society, your intellect, and your motivations. Each and every act bears the fruit of corruption, enslavement, tyranny.

We all know taxes are going up. We all know spending is going up. We all know failure is coming. How do we know this? Simple, your actions thus far prove this! The only things you and your associates have proven they are capable of doing is, being incompetent at anything they gaze upon or set their minds to.

Solving of our problems are simple. Anyone with the slightest ability to count change could do it. Those that have run out of money and credit have been forced to do it. But those that vote themselves, yes limpy I’m speaking of you, into our wallets can only see more of the same. That same is spending and penalizing those they take, no force the money from.

Guess what, they are running out! Yep that’s right, either by your governance or choosing to no longer participate they are running out. So go a head and spend more, go a head and print more. Just don’t ask us for our share of the fare or ask us to ride on the bus you are driving, because we know the brakes failed and there is a steep grade up a head!

    • WordsFailMe

We were so disgusted with Obama and his communism that somehow many of us started to believe that the National Socialist Republican’s Party would be the place where we could rally. It was a lie then and it will be a lie in 2016.

I think we’d do better to register as Democrats and try to help them cannibalize themselves from within. I don’t think I could stomach another Republican.

Someone please tell me the Bush bimbettes are not running for office in a southern state in 2014, Please!

      • mark1955

I like it! “National Socialist Republican Party”. Hope you don’t mind if i borrow it. Doesn’t that just sum up exactly who the repubs are since Reagan has been out of office. And truth be told, the repubs were heading that way long before then.

  • Boobie_The_Rocket_Dog

That’s his payback to Obama for legalizing homos in the military. Graham is an (in-the-closet) Air Force colonel.

  • PhillyCon

He even admits later that this deal does nothing for the country, yet he’s gonna vote for a tax increase because of politics, saying on national TV that Obama won and even congratulated him.

    Cue the twilight sound music.

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd:
“I don’t think they really care
I think they just sit up there
    And just get high”

  • white531

Lindsey Graham is worthless to this country. He might as well change his stripes to Obama Democrat. He should be relieved of his command at the earliest opportunity.

I’m tired of fighting both the Democrats and the Republicans at the same time. We have enough on our hands with just the Democrats. The Republican Party is nothing but a joke at this point. And Obama is laughing at the joke.

  • Alborn

I think Lindsey is up for election in 2014 so please SC find a true conservative to replace him.

  • 2hairs

When is this UnAmerican, Anti-Freedom ASSWH*LE up for reelection?

  • BMinPA

He has been great on the current gun debate. Few people go on national TV these days, sitting next to DiFi no less, and announce proudly that he owns an AR-15 and isn’t about to outlaw them.

  • I’ve said many times in the past that Congress is only made of one Party, it just has two faces. And they play that old game of good cop bad cop for our benefit.

Wake up America. Quit playing American idle with our country. Stand up for something and quit worrying about what other people think.

  • hongryhawg

I may move to South Carolina so I can campaign and vote against this traitor. It’s sycophants like this that have turned this into a one-party political system. Two-party implies opposition. Our current system masquerades as 2-party but is populated with ayholes like Graham. Treasonous behavior like this not only erases opposition but greases the wheels for the pretender.

  • RonPaulSupporter2

If you looked up the definition of “RINO” in the proverbial political dictionary, Lindsay Graham’s picture would be there along with John McCain, and Scott Brown.

  • DocBarry1

Graham talks a good game but when it counts he folds like an accordian- shame on him and the other frauds – we need Gov Palin to step up and start to make things happen rt now!!!!!

  • deecal

Now is the time to find the qualified candidate to primary Graham.
The he can join his fellow traitor, Trent Lott, as a scum sucking lobbyist.
    Let’s do it.

  • repubboy

Graham is a pompous RINO that is just looking out for himself.. He will be challenged next time around !

  • Where’s his dang backbone????

    • GJPinks

      Loopner Disease.

  • As someone who lives in SC, I can safely say, it’s time for Graham to take a hike. Graham is one of the biggest examples of all that is wrong with the modern Republican Party.

    • freeperjim

Is Rep. Trey Gowdy planning to run against “Ms. Rino Grahamnesty” in Senate primary?

      • sarahsupporter

        I sure hope so!!

  • The Tony Romo of DC! Just when you think the guy is on the right track…he literally throws it all away. There’s no question in my mind that this guy is “bought-n-paid for”. He’s a major cog in the Washington Machine because he just goes with the flow and not with what should be his convictions.

    But hey I’m a Pats fan…lol.

  • tsturbo

Graham is just another RINO political parasite.
We are screwed with people like him in RNC, and that’s why the media loves to put him in front of their cameras.

    • Brown nosed, toothless, limp d*ck, like all RINOs

  • Dave Boedeker

    I’ll run against him.

  • Dave Boedeker

    Ill run against him.

  • Dave Boedeker

DeMint quit, so I guess since he’s the senior Sen. from S.C. now, he gots to gets in front da camera.Sorry ass.
    Term limits.

  • jrt1031

We all must pray to God that the truth is brought to light and the lies are exposed.

  • Biggbear52

Hey Lindsey how much did you take to go against the “RIGHT THING TO DO”. What did you get paid to thwart the U.S Constitution? NO WEALTHY PERSON SHOULD HOLD OFFICE. They do not understand the working class that support this world!

  • mikeinidaho

We the People have no support in DC, for the most part. It’s well past time to either leave the Republican Party or take it over and purge the RINOs friom the ranks. And before you say “but that will ensure the Dems win future elections”, let me remind you that the Repubs haven’t won much lately, anyhow!

  • Graham is a RINO, always was and always will be. Seems like we are fighting a losing battle against Obamas thick skull. He will probably let US go over the cliff and of course blame the republicans…..Happy New Year? I don’t know yet.

  • TxGold

Hide and watch. He’s being realistic.

  • “Lindsey Graham is exactly what is wrong with the Republican Party. A bunch of dang smushes.”

EXACTLY! I could write an 80 page dissertation on the fallacy of Graham’s thinking but I like how Scoop cuts to the chase.

  • wodiej

Apparently people don’t know what sarcasm is. Did anyone see Graham smiling or act like he was happy about this? I didn’t. Cripes.

  • As a Democrat I’m happy to have the support of all Rinos, come on over.
