Louie Gohmert was on Fox and Friends this morning explaining how outrageous and unprecedented it is for Democrats to stage a sit-in like this.
Gohmert remarked ironically that Dems are “using the instruments that helped gain civil rights to try and take away people’s civil rights.”

This isn’t just about gun-control. This is about taking away due process from anyone that gets put on the terror watch list.
Republicans in the Senate merely wanted to put the onus of due process on the government, blocking the gun purchase sale for only 3 days, giving the government time to prove that person is a terrorist that shouldn’t buy a gun.
But Democrats rejected that, wanting to give the DOJ the absolute power to stop a gun purchase. They didn’t want due process. So if you happened to be the one being blocked, you could appeal it or something. But the onus is on you to prove your case, not the government.
How backwards is that?
And what’s worse is this mass shooting isn’t even about guns, it’s about Islam and terrorism as Gohmert suggests.
This whole thing is pathetic. Democrats will try to win back power in the House using whatever phoney issue they can mislead people with, and that’s what is going on here.
