I don't believe there ever was an affair. The timing of this stinks, and isn't it so miraculous that liberals have things happen at such perfect moments in order to cause something or prevent something. In this case it was to prevent Petraeus from testifying.
Until she boils the family rabbit or wears a diaper on a cross country drive, I'm not impressed.
So... all this nasty sex scandal, getting worse by the day. And, where is the story of four dead Americans? On the back burner. Sure, the media is picking up the story all over the world, but not the Benghazi story. Only the sex story.

Very true...the two most important things are the four dead Americans in Benghazi and the probable voter fraud in our country, and the truth needs to be found out. And, since the thugs are in the Whitehouse now, who is slipping in the back door or the front door of our country because the Obama administration is concentrating on covering up their lies and not watching out for our safety?
That's a corrupt media that is distracting attention away from Benghazi. This was no accident and only came about because Petraeus was scheduled to testify. I'd bet my left arm that Obama forced him out (so he wouldn't testify) and this story is cover.
Say what you will but Obama and the FBI already knew about this well before the story broke or before Petraeus resigned. It's funny how it coincidentally came to this right before Petraeus was going to testify. Now he's not. Nothing is coincidence with Obama. They time everything to their advantage.

I think Obama and his goons held on to the Petraeus story until after the election to take the focus off the voter fraud they knew was going to take place. Nobody is looking into the voter fraud now - they are looking into the Petraeus story.

Sooo - Mrs Kelley became 'close' to Gen Petraeus when she acted as a sort of 'liaison' between 2008 and 2010.
Look at the dates! That was indeed the time when the affaire between Gen Petraeus and Ms Broadwell was hot, allegedly.
Now we are to believe that Ms Broadwell sent harassing e-mails now, in 2012, forcing Mrs Kelley to go to the FBI - not the police?
And are we now also going to believe that the FBI didn't know diddly-squat about this affaire, and the e-mails when they vetted Gen Petraeus a year ago?
I prefer to believe that this is a nice set-up by the Chicago boys, who used this information for their own purposes.
After all, is it really credible that a woman feeling spurned during an affair which has been over suddenly harasses another woman two years after feeling spurned?
I think the FBI should be made to come clean, preferably at Rep Issa's committee, and that the questioning should be led by Rep Gowdy.
One explanation for going to the FBI instead of the police is that Mrs. Kelley figured that would be where to go since it was a federal official. A lot of things are strange in this case and hopefully everything will be unearthed as it relates to Benghazi and the timing of the resignation. Criminality is likely involved in at least one aspect of the case.

could it not have been the case that she did go to the police, who sat on it (look again at the time this probably happened: 2008-2010), and that it was found by the FBI when they vetted Petraeus? Who then got told by the Bathhouse Barry administration to sit on it until it was needed?

Yes, she could have gone to police first, maybe was told it had to go to FBI. I believe your timing assumption is incorrect. Broadwell affair was more recent (started some after P4 became CIA director from what i have read) as we're her 'back off' emails to Kelley. Regardless, tin foil hat is not unwarranted.
I do not believe for a moment that the FBI didn't know, and I do believe Bathhouse Barry knew full well when he gave Petraeus the job. That's what vetting is for.
I think the FBI is under the boot of Holder, and that he, Bathhouse Barry, Jarrett and Axelrod decided to keep this 'secret', in order to use it at an opportune moment.

Why someone would call the FBI because of "harassing" e-mail is a bit strange. That is a good point. Where are the questions on that? And of course the beginning of the hearings on Benghazi will be swept under the rug because everyone will be trying to figure out this affair business with Petraus. Congress better call him to testify about Benghazi.
Holder is right in the mess, no need to put him there especially!

I think Issa should send subpoenas to the lot of them, and make them testify under oath. I'd actually pay to watch that, and I'd pay a bonus to watch Trey Gowdy shred them with his questions.
