Marco Rubio exposes the media in ONE tweet…

This morning Marco Rubio took to the media to ask a simple question:

I made this point when the shutdown began and I’m glad to see Marco Rubio pose it in a tweet.

The point is that back when Republicans controlled the House and Obama and Democrats controlled the presidency and the Senate, we were constantly told by those in the media that Republicans only controlled 1/3rd and therefore they needed to compromise with Democrats. And this was even after Republicans won big in 2010.

But now that Republicans control the presidency and the Senate, that argument is nowhere to be found. Which was so predictable that I predicted it (and I’m sure plenty others).

Rubio also affirmed this morning, in light of the new and bigger caravan headed to the US border, that this is exactly why our border security is in crisis. Watch at least the first minute or two of his interview this morning:

This is something Democrats don’t really seem to care about. If they did they would be making the same argument as Rubio and they’d be be putting a stop to it. But rather, they watched their president of the last eight years enact policies that put out the welcome mat for these migrants and now they keep coming. Who knows how many are raped and trafficked that we never hear about.

Of course these caravans are coordinated by people who are against borders, so let’s not forget that. But even so, many of these migrants probably know someone that knows someone who got into the US on a previous journey, and thus they are willing to try and do the same.

If Democrats weren’t playing politics, they could stop the government shutdown and put a stop to the caravans. But 2020 is just around the corner and the last think they want is another four years of Trump. Which is probably exactly what they are gonna get.
