Marie Harf: Hey, there’s a militant Christian group, too!

Marie Harf was on MSNBC today talking about the 60 countries that are participating in their violent extremism summit, saying they are trying to learn how to better deal with these groups. One of these groups, Harf noted, is a Christian militant group that nobody is talking about anymore called the Lord’s Resistance Army:

Maybe no one is talking about them anymore because they in hiding to evade U.S.-backed African troops who are chasing them. To me it sounds like these countries have already learned how to deal with groups like this.

As Newsbusters points out:

While certainly a menace in its region, the group never posed a direct threat to the United States or the West at large. But nice try!

I’m sure the US is spending a lot of time lecturing leaders about ‘Christian militant’ groups and how to deal with them at this useless violent extremism summit.

And for the record, if the LRA were following the precepts of Christ, which would indeed make them Christian, they wouldn’t be going around terrorizing and killing people. On the other hand, groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Boko Haram are following the example given to them by their unmerciful murdering leader, Muhammad, and that’s why they are truly Islamic.
