On Mark Levin’s radio show tonight, he read from a note he received from Morton Blackwell that explained how Kasich could satisfy Rule 40B — the rule that states that a candidate must win the majority of delegates from eight states — with help from Reince Priebus and compete in a contested convention with Trump and Cruz.
I’ll let Levin explain it himself:
I guess in the establishment’s eyes, should this become a thing, it’d be better than just dropping in someone who didn’t run for president at all. But even so, there’d be a lot of anger from both Cruz and Trump supporters if this happened. Most would see this as the establishment manipulating the system in order to bypass the will of the people and get Kasich in there to potentially become the nominee, despite the fact that he didn’t earn it.
Let’s hope they don’t go down this road because it would get really messy if they did.
