Mark Levin interviews Rep. Huelskamp: “I don’t turn my district over to John Boehner”

Mark Levin interviewed Rep. Huelskamp about his being booted from both the Agriculture and Budget committees because he disagreed with raising taxes. Huelskamp says he was told that someone walked in with a list to see how people were going to vote, and while he hasn’t been given an explanation for why he was dumped from both committees, he says it has to be about his dissent. In fact he says he was told that he had to vote x percent of the time with leadership if he wanted to stay in the committees. But he says he doesn’t turn over his district to Boehner, Obama, or anyone else.

God bless you, sir, for your integrity. We need more people like Rep. Huelskamp. God bless us with good leadership!

    • jrt1031

you said it….. God Bless those that stand up for the rights of the people that give these politicians their jobs.

  • Making room for more RINOs I bet.

    • Orangeone

It will end up making more room for Democrats because conservatives won’t vote or may go back to voting for Dems because we know what we are getting.

  • PVG

We need to fax/call bonehead’s office a DEMAND they be reinstated…..NOW!

    • Is_Sense_Common

Once again, we the people are left holding the big stinky bag of poo that the RINOs passed off to us again. I’ll send Bonehead a letter, but I’m sure he knows better than us simple-minded citizens and will do whatever the he77 he wants to do. Afterall, he’s Speaker – who’s going to dethrone him now??

      • Nukeman60

When we send him a letter, and I have already, all we will get is a form letter back explaining all the things he is going to do for us (which is just the opposite of what he is actually doing), we will get return emails requesting donations, and we will get phone calls also requesting donations.

There is no connect between us and them – only disgust on our part and disdain on theirs.

        • “There is no connect between us and them – only disgust on our part and disdain on theirs.”

        • Sober_Thinking

          That so sucks.

        • Is_Sense_Common

I’m starting a “Pink Slip” brigade. I’m hoping to make it rain pink in Boehner’s office. Here’s the address if you’d like to join me:
          Office of the Speaker
          H-232 The Capitol
          Washington, DC 20515

I am also contacting local & state Tea Party chairmen to get them in on the challenge. I don’t look for a reply from him. I just want him to feel the angst from us simple citizens.

          • Nukeman60

I have two solutions, if things get too bad.

One, we all change our federal withholding status to 99 on January 1st. That way, the government won’t get our tax dollars until the following April, 2014. It’s quite legal and stops the fact that most of us get a refund in April due to the government taking too much throughout the year.

Two, if the situation gets really, really bad, we all just stop paying our mortgages. The banks will completely collapse and they can’t take all our homes away from us at the same time (nor would they want to).

Just extreme solutions should the situation get extreme.

            BTW, I’m in.

            • colliemum

Wow – you can legally withhold your taxes until April 2014?
That is brilliant – can someone make a little video so it can go viral? so that shedloads of people will sign on and do it?

Closing the purse strings for the bloated government is an outstanding idea.

(Pity we can’t do that over here in the UK: they rob us first and then may perhaps after a few years decide they took too much, and you get a bit back, with no interest paid, naturally …)

              • Arrrggghhh

There would be penalties for underpayment – not to say it’s not worth doing.

              • Nukeman60

I used to do it all the time, before I retired (not up to 99, but up to the amount that gave me back $50-100. That way the government never got a interest-free loan off of me. I was able to use my own money throughout the year rather than getting one lump sum back in April. When I then filed in April, I would claim the correct exemption number, receiving the aforementioned $50-100).

Many people talk about boycotting paying taxes, but to do it effectively, we have to start on Jan 1st, not the following April 15th. Arrrggghhh is right, if you underpay, there will be penalties. But if you were thinking of boycotting paying taxes, the penalty is irrelevant.

            • Dukehoopsfan

With regard to your witholding plan … you should be very careful. If the gap between the amount witheld and what you owe is greater than 10% you can be penalized. I suggest getting some advice from an accountant. He/she can tell you exactly how many exemptions to claim in order to keep as much of your money each payday and not run afoul of the IRS.

              • Nukeman60

See my reply to Colliemum. I think that explains my position.

                • Dukehoopsfan

Think about how big the government would be if instead of witholding taxes everyone had to cut a check and send it along with your tax return. If people realized what they were really paying they would wake up and demand change.

          • jlbs

Don’t send your pink slips directly to Boehner…..all he will do is file them in the wastebasket. Send Boehner’s pink slip to your Representatives and let them gather them all and present them to Boehner. And tell your Representative you expect them to do so; some day they will be up for re-election.

  • sjmom

    Time for some primary challenges.

  • GaltLine

We need a new political party in time for the midterms.

    • proudhispanicconservative

I think any person running for congress must run against boner, run with a message “I am going to go to washington and fight the status quo” and I bet any member that runs on that will win, because how many of us are chopping at the bit to remove this idiot Boner? I say a lot of us.

      • GaltLine

No. If the conservative and other House Republicans do not rise up and select a new Speaker of the ilk of Michelle Bachman, Allen West, or Mark Levin by tomorrow noon we call our Boards of Elections and tell them we are are ashamed to have been named Republicans.

        • Hobbes

Yep! Too tan Boehner has to go. He probably won’t and that should cost the Republicans…

          • GaltLine

Absolutely. I’ve been looking in my state and it’s the Constitution Party that appears closest to my views. It’s one of five parties recognized and on the ballot here. It doesn’t have the baggage of the Libertarian Party. Don’t know if there is another party member in my county but it has to start with someone.

            • Hobbes

I’ve never been one to really put much effort into 3rd party candidates, however, after seeing what Boehner and his ilk have done to the Republican Party, I’m going to spend some time looking into what’s available in my state. The Constitution Party sounds like a way to start. My problem is that my state will go Dem no matter what … it’s Illinois and those of us here, (and now the Nation), know what that means! 🙁

              • GaltLine

I’ve lived there. Great state except for the metro domination of government. Maybe Texas is in your future?

                • Hobbes

You are right, at one time it was a pretty state. It’s always had some form of corruption because of Chicago, but, now it has become the breeding place of corruption Nation wide. Texas is a good place to run to … just hope it doesn’t close it’s borders before I can sell my house! 😉

                • GaltLine

One of these days, sooner rather than later, California will crash and burn. If they come to their senses and it’s too late for Texas, we’ll all head for the second Great Gold Rush and become Californians.

    • Sober_Thinking

      I couldn’t agree more.

  • CO2isGood

Can the GOP leadership get any dumber???

  • Nukeman60

What’s the purpose of a committee, if they don’t have a say in what the committee has to decide? Even though the Republicans control the House, it looks like Obama’s flunkies (ie, Boehner et al) are actually running things.

Obama sure has learned a lot from Chavez and Putin. When will we get the Executive Order to disband the Congress and admit that it’s a Politburo.

    • Sober_Thinking

Seriously, how much longer before Caesar Obammus eliminates Congress?

  • proudhispanicconservative

The thing I am most impressed with this guy, is how easy for him is the language of conservatism and how confident he sounds defending liberty, and freedom, unlike the may I say Idiot Rinos
Please call John Boner’s office, and leave him a nice message, his number is 202-225-0600

    • Is_Sense_Common

Send him a pink slip too PHC!!
      Office of the Speaker
      H-232 The Capitol
      Washington, DC 20515

      • proudhispanicconservative

I will my friend, tonight I am on a crusade against this guy, HE HAS TO GO!!!!

  • aposematic

Unfortunitely, I believe the GOP Leadership are getting ready to double down onjust how dumb they can get.

    • Steve

Apparently, John Boner has gone limp, as his Doctors office has refused to renew his Viagra prescription and O’Bama’s (Irish roots you know) minion, (Pelosi) has Boner’s balls which are under the spell of her Kabbalah buried deeply under the Alter of the Arch Diocese in the heart of the Castro District of San Francisco which is located next to the sweat shop manned by young pert blond haired and blue eyed Danish boys (owned By Feinstein and Boxer) that spend their days manufacturing clothes for the discerning gay gentleman of todays new Babylon. At night they are forced to dance at the Palladium for the pleasure of residents and guests of the city. “Palladium San Francisco
1031 Kearny St., San Francisco, CA, 94133
      (415) 434-1308
Under 21? The City has not forgotten you. Club kids are welcome in this sleek discoteque. Black lights, mirrors, and excellent, high energy music make this a great night spot for anyone looking for fun” Quote from the Contra Costa times.

  • Sober_Thinking

This is nothing short of disgraceful. I appreciate the Freshmen and those conservatives who are trying to do the right things… but the worthless establishment is destroying anything that opposes their twisted will. Evil is rampant in Washington.

Boehner and his wussified cronies need to be voted off the island. It’s sickening what a punk Boehner is. Say goodbye to the elephants.

  • snowshooze

    This is horrible.
Tom, and all the American Citizens he REPRESENTS… has been silenced.
This is war. And as of right now, we ain’t doin’ so well.
This has got to change. Now.

  • snowshooze

It’s gotten so bad that it is affecting me personally.
I am now at the point where I obsess about being sold out.
I just do not need the ittional stress, thank-you. I have enough on my plate.
But at this point, I feel like I just have to give time and horsepower I do not have, to fighting for the chance to have a fair fight.
That is just too much, but that is where we are.

    • Is_Sense_Common

Here’s some awesome, free therapy: Psalm 37.

And while you’re at it, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” ~Psalm 46:10

      • snowshooze

        That sure cannot hurt.
And thank you for the consideration.

  • unseen1

anyone that was paying attention at the RNC convention could see this happening. The GOPe are scared of losing their power and they will stamp out all dissent before 2014. They want no part of another conservative wave like 2010

  • Max

Rep Huelskamp, stand our ground sir. Forcing particular votes should not be the Rep way, as it appears to be for Dems.

  • chatterbox365

We need to get these RINOs out. Don’t give any money to the RNC. [email protected] [email protected]!

  • Just wanted to add that in the Levin interview, Huelscamp sounded like a really sharp guy. No “ummm, err, ahhh” noises, no half-baked ideas, and no platitudes (other than the usual stuff like “we’re gonna continue to fight” or whatever). Quick responses to Mark’s questions, and solid content in his responses. We need to keep this guy in office.

  • Philo Beddoe

That’s because both parties are working toward the same goal. Total US population control.

They freaked out with the Tea Party, they are removing people from committee’s, because of their low tax idea’s.

    America is screwed.

  • ApplePie101

Every day brings fresh evidence that we have no recourse but a 3rd party if we want to preserve our constitutional form of government.

  • Arrrggghhh

This was absolutely the last straw for the GOP. Getting fiscally conservative candidates into the House and Senate in 2014 is my only goal. More and more, I think the odds are against us, but that doesn’t deter me one bit. The meaning of Patrick Henry’s words are more clear to me than ever. I will not live as a slave to this government.

  • bongobear

If this man doesn’t belong on the agricultural committee then who does?

  • anneinarkansas

    Tea, anyone?
    We need a new party.

  • Idahoser

so who did YOU vote for for speaker?
