By The Right Scoop

I couldn’t agree more:

Martha Raddatz was awful, stepping all over Paul Ryan’s statements. Joe Biden was off his meds, flailing with his hands, interrupting, repetitive, and whiny, which is what most of his base has wanted. And Paul Ryan was calm, cool, and collected, with a better second half in the debate.

Biden was a condescending bully and Raddatz was just terrible, helping sideline some of Ryan’s statements while showing more deference to Biden. She was also too argumentative with Ryan as well.

O’biden was being a BULLY and should of been dealt with but the moderator let him run which should of not happen. As for laughing and the faces that was just rude i thought this was suppose to be a serious debate because this concerns our country.

    • jlbs

Well, I think we can see just how ‘seriously’ this present administration looks at the situations that are facing our nation. Unfortunately for us, they think it’s just a huge party. Disgusting!!

      • Orangeone

The $1.4 billion spent on their vacations in just one year should have told us that.

    • http://hehasfailed.wordpress.com/ HopeHeFails

Biden interrupted 96 times according to the stats.

      • spottedreptile

Once a minute. How rude. Won’t play well with the older generation.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joel-S-Miller/20711381 Joel S. Miller

I had to stop after 40 min!! Biden over there grinning like an insane asylum patient or some dummy who has no idea what’s being said but wants others to think he understands what’s being discussed! And moderator never told Biden to quit interrupting and making him do it. Also always cut off Ryan’s answer to move on to a new question!! Very terrible outing!! If Romeny would act like that to Obama the media would howl about racist condensation and disrespect for the office of the Preezy! The leader is an empty suit and the next in line does smiling exercising made up by the Joker!! Can’t imagine that stupid grins wins any Independents however but MSM will push this for 4 weeks as crushing defeat! Come on November!!

    • Jazzee

Me too..could’t take stupid joe anymore

    • Pittakos

You lasted 40 minutes?! You’ve got a stronger stomach than I do.

  • poljunkie

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

  • tvlgds

Pretty much my assessment, as well. I almost didn’t get through the whole thing with the condescending bully behavior by Biden and the terribly biased moderater. She’s just horrible. They really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to come up with her!

    • riverlifecallie

Obama was a guest at the moderator’s (Martha Raddatz) wedding. No, no bias there.

      • tvlgds

        Yes, I know that.

“When a wise man has a controversy with a foolish man, the foolish man either rages or laughs and there is no rest”
    ~Proverbs 29:9

That pretty much sums up the debate…

Pr 29:9 ¶ If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

  • patriotbens

Paul Ryan was double teamed and he held his own with poise and grace.

    • sjmom

      Agreed.

  • http://hehasfailed.wordpress.com/ HopeHeFails

One of the most awful political events I’ve ever witnessed. It sucked. Made me angry. Didn’t accomplish anything except frustrating probably 1/2 the country. I can watch @stefcutter more easily than watching that debate, and that is painful, too.

Ryan showed us all what Obama and dems will never understand is integrity!

  • freenca

Martha stepped all over Ryan and was VERY pro Biden all the way through.

    • Brenda Humphrey

What is it about leftist feminists that claim to care about respect for their sex, and yet allow men like Clinton and Uncle Joe to treat them so poorly? I felt embarassed for Martha and angry when Biden pointed his finger in her face and scolded her. What a pompous chauvinist he is. And what an admirable team we have in Romney and Ryan.

      • freenca

I agree Brenda. The left doesn’t seem to realize that they have powers that are beyond their leaders. IF they should only opt to use them. Why? is right, do they choose dependency over INDEPENDENCE?????
Romney/Ryan 2012 are the only logical choice, IF they would like to be in charge of their own lives!!! IMO. Please, Democrats, don’t choose dependency!!! Choose life and choose living free!!!!

  • MrMicawber

they were freakin’ tag-teaming against Ryan….

  • sjmom

Mark is right on target. Biden lost points on his demeanor, Martha did cut off Ryan too many times and should have cut off Biden more than once. Ryan was the only likeable person on stage.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JT6RK4NQME54FA3FVYTTHLTRTQ Southnsoul

Nearly every time Ryan begin to go after the Obama administration on anything, Raddatz would interrupt him.

  • A_Truism

    Agreed!

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

I do think that Raddatz cut off Ryan a lot more than Biden. But Ryan should have just talked over her more or ignored her. It’s more important to get the point across, rather than get cut off.

    • Orangeone

But he showed respect to a woman. If he had talked over her, the libs would be screaming sexism with video. Ryan took the high road. People are intrigued with what he is saying and they are more likely to go online to see some of the rallies now to hear his entire position.

  • genann59

Can you imagine Biden as president? Does the thought give you nightmares? Even more after this debate? Can you imagine him acting like this with the leader of an enemy nation? Terrifying thought.

  • Steven

Ryan was calm, intelligent, unintimidated by the antics and focused. He did well considering what he was up against. He got the message through and defended and represented the ticket well.

    Biden was an ass.

    • Orangeone

Biden was an ass just like the Dem ticket.

  • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

I can’t believe the GOP agreed to that witch moderator. Have they no guts?
Ryan stood pretty firm, but it was hard to have both biteme and the moderator ganging up on him.

    • freenca

Hard to watch huh! A tag team match to be sure and Ryan did well despite them both. Just think how he would have beaten Biden had Biden NOT had the help of the MODERATOR!!!

    • FreeManWalking

      “Have they no guts?”

Clearly not enough to request an unbiased moderator or better yet, like NEWT said a time keep NO Moderator.

    • Orangeone

The GOP are RINOs and will do anything to get along. That’s why we need Tea Party patriots instead of RINOs.

  • conservativemama

Raddatz was doing her best to shore up Obama. Another useless media type.

  • crakpot

I’ve had enough of these two against one arguments. Once I heard that blabbermouth chick going on about “Do we want another war in the Middle East?”, as if the only choice is between Democrat peace and Republican war, I found the mute button very handy.

  • http://twitter.com/Mrs_Micawber Mrs_Micawber

No one really votes for vp anyway. So while we all know Ryan could have trounced Biden, he played it cool to avoid any gaffes. So mission accomplished.

    • Orangeone

I don’t think that will be true in this case. Ryan is an economics genius and combined with Romney is why they can pull America back to her founding principles.

  • p m

Biden is the epitome of the level to which the demoncrats have demeaned the office of VPOTUS. Zero has done the same to the office of POTUS.

  • detectivedick

Did anyone catch Joe using the phrase “Obamanation” ? and how about those 180,000 households…..what was he talking about? Fairfax County?

None of these debates matter . Noone is changing their mind . We will have a new president by a landslide .

  • FreeManWalking

The sad state of affairs is that after 4 years of 0b0/0biden there are so many undecided who think a debate will give them some clarity on who would be the best leader for the USA.

If they haven’t been affected by the last 4 years, 40 hours of debate will not help make up their mind.

    • wodiej

great comment and I agree. How can anyone still be undecided after 4 years of obama?

  • Luker410

What can I do to get the image of those huge fricking teeth out of my mind. He was creeping me out. The plugs are looking pretty worn out too. Would make a pretty freaky holloween mask.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Elee-Zimmerman/1186792881 Elee Zimmerman

I watched as much as I could stomach (which was a little more than one hour of it), and what I saw was that the moderator really didn’t ‘moderate’ anything. The bulk of her questions were directed toward Ryan — there was very little of substance directed toward Say it ain’t so Joe — so I gave up in fatigue from it all.

  • justrighton

Ryan answered many times that there has to be a bipartisan effort made and Biden showed nothing but distain for it through the whole debate which is one of the reasons why we are where we are. Biden showed his ass once again with his “my way or the highway” attitude.
Ryan’s attitude will win many more independents to our side by doing this.

  • http://twitter.com/Mrs_Micawber Mrs_Micawber

It seems Women in particular were really turned off by Biden

    • spottedreptile

He reminds me of the kind of guy you never, ever want to sit next to on a plane.

    • wodiej

Most women do not like arrogance even though many men think it endears them. It doesn’t.

  • opinionatedhermit

If a man with the back ground, history, and experience of Joe Biden cannot beat a young man like Ryan it means Obama/Biden has nothing new to offer. They have turned themselves into yesterdays dirty laundry.

Ryan slaughtered Biden by not buckling to his nonsense. As for me, I would have gotten up and bitch slapped the Vice President and had my butt dragged off to jail (for good reason.)

My hat goes off to Ryan for not being me…….

    • wodiej

“bitch slapped”….lol. That would have been my reaction as well.

  • wallwatchman

I was so livid after this debate! Biden was such a jerk, I was just yelling at the tv for him to shut up! Ryan knows his stuff and if it was a real debate, all those watching would know it. Instead, Biden has nothing, so he has to try and get points by being an obnoxious boob!

To be honest, after just a little bit of biden’s nasty behavior, I couldn’t even concentrate on what they were talking about anyway. I was so mad and put off with how condescending he was and his lies, that’s all I could focus on! The VP slot is too good for him. He didn’t deserve it before, and definitely not again. Your a piece of work joe Biden.

  • http://www.facebook.com/daniel.porter.3705 Daniel Porter

A friend of mine told me that :”Debating Biden is like playing chess with a pigeon, no matter how good you are at chess, that bird will just knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and then strut around as if it had won” LMAO! Biden all the way.

    • PVG

      Excellent analogy.

    • pdxlady

      That is funny!

    • tvlgds

THAT is the comment of the day! LOL! I’m going to swipe it!

  • carmtom13

Biden looked and acted like a condedsending, rude old man. He as well as the moderator cut off Ryan several times. I have never seen a vice presidential debate like this. Biden show’d no respect for Ryan. I give Ryan credit he didn’t lose his cool and he made Biden looked like the real fool that he is. Biden had BHOs talking points down pat. The moderator was totally in the tank for Biden. Biden you lost Ryan won.

  • Randy Leatherman

Joe Biden’s smiled reminded me of Jim Carrey playing The Grinch!!! Scary!!!!!

    Biden is a moron

  • http://teapartyreaganconservative.blogspot.com/ TeaPartyReaganConservative

    Am.Sp. – Jeffrey Lord, quote-

“Ronald Reagan was not impressed with Joe Biden.

In fact, writing in his diary in his usual abbreviated style on June 15, 1987, Reagan described Biden this way:

“He’s smooth but pure demagog – out to save America from Reagan Doctrine.”

That was a year after Reagan made a note about Biden and Senators Ted Kennedy and Howard Metzenbaum, who were busy making vitriolic attacks on TV about Reagan’s nominee for Chief Justice of the United States, then Associate Justice William Rehnquist. Wrote Reagan: “They really are a lynch mob.” unquote

Biden hasn’t changed 1 iota from what he was then, to what he still is- a political character assassination hack, which toxic obnoxious fumes emanate from him like stink from a dead carcass.

  • wodiej

I recorded the debate and would decide this morning if it was worth watching based on the comments of those who did watch it. Thank you for the rundown and now I will erase it from my DVR.

    • Amjean

Too funny! I did that too!

  • AgentRose

Boorish bloviating bully! Boorish bloviating bully!

  • AgentRose

This was a typical liberal debate. Event. Make up the rules. 2 minutes each to respond. Don’t follow the rules. Sound familiar? Make up the tax code. Don’ t follow it. Make up rules of senate. Don’t follow them.

  • Susitna

Biden is a cocktail of stupidity, drugs and alcohol. As he doesn’t have anything to run on, the only thing can do is to run away from the issues and discredit others by laughing and smirking. The same is true for Bossama and Hillary.

  • info

    http://elvisnixon.com/2012/10/12/the-one-word-missing-from-the-debate.aspx

The ONE Word Missing From The Debate

Last night’s Vice Presidential Debate will probably be remembered most for Vice President Biden’s smarmy attitude and off putting, maniacal grin.

Paul Ryan came off as competent and polite while Biden’s japery (look it up Democrats) was an attempt to compensate for the malaise of Obama’s somnambulist act in the first debate.

Sad to say neither candidate dared to utter the word “immigration” or even “illegal immigration’ in the context of all their talk about unemployment.

How can anyone allow a single illegal alien to steal jobs, recieve benefits for themselves and their children and lower wages for Americans when the nation is suffering under such massive unemployment?

I believe it was Washington Times writer Sam Francis who said there is “The Evil Party (democrats) and the Stupid Party (Republicans)”

The GOP has a golden opportunity to crush Obama with his open borders/Administrative Amnesty policy. A policy opposed by over 75% of American voters.

    Why the silence GOP?

    • iaintlyin

They are waiting for the opposition to mention it. 0 and the MSM have been dictating the continual flow of nonsensical topics since day 1. The most recent opportunity Romney had was the Embassy attacks so the Left and MSM make it out to be Romney politicizing the attack (which I’ve read to be an INCIDENT). My opening sentence was out of pure sarcasm but, Romney does need to get in front of some issues before the election. Each issue brought up seems to take up 2-3 days of headlines (debates included), We need to get out on at least 2 issues and win both debates. We need to dictate the tack of the campaign a bit more. With all that HS out of the way, I like where we’re sitting…… As long as the ballots are tallied right.

  • Sober_Thinking

Mark is absolutely right about the debate. I sum it up this way:

    Biden won because

    1) He was allowed to talk and finish his thoughts
    2) Ryan let them go on to the next topic without refuting the crap Biden said
    3) The moderator cut Ryan off a little too often

    Biden lost because

    1) He looked like the Cheshire Cat or the Joker
    2) He was contemptuous, rude, inconsiderate, and looked insane at times
    3) He was on the wrong side of almost every position

Overall, though… Ryan looked/sounded timid at times and Biden commanded control of the debate – with the moderator helping.

    • Amjean

Going down memory lane, I recall Palin’s debate with Biden. Much better.

  • Clevername1234

I’m glad Ryan was patient. I would have called the orderlies out to sedate Biden mid way through that debate.

    • PhillyCon

Exactly. I am glad too that Ryan didn’t take the bait. Please, get in the mud with that loon?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Rich-Wojcik/1252071956 Rich Wojcik

Biden was off his meds, but on something illegal, “perhaps” ;) After being coached 24/7 for a week, the dolt had to cover his idiocy with arrogance……
IT IS NOT FUNNY _ lying, interrupting, lying, interrupting and lying again!!!
Too bad Ryan wasn’t watching his grimaces – he might have said: I IT NOT FUNNY when you ruin our country and cover it with lies”…
    What an oaf Biden is.

  • http://twitter.com/MarthaChandler9 Martha Chandler

It is amazing to me that people like Biden and others have remained in politics as long as they have, and that people never stop voting for them. Clearly, this man is a mental patient.

  • Clevername1234

The same people said Romney went too far are saying Biden didn’t go far enough. Let that sink in

  • tvlgds

I can’t even listen to the liberal drivel today. I turned on Fox and listened as long as I could -switched the channel to NatGeo Wild. The left is gushing over the rude bully tactics of both Biden and the biased moderator.

    • RosiesSeeingRed

That’s all they’ve got, and while it might pump up their own base, it did little to win the hearts of independents/undecideds, who they desperately need. They are idiots if they think a bullying and rude vice president will push Obama over the top.

  • tvlgds

I love this from the front page of Drudge.

    CNN: Raddatz ‘the third debater’…
    REALCLEAR MAP SHOWS SHIFT…

  • NJK

She was terrible. Terrible to listen to, and she doesn’t have a face for TV. Sorry, it’s true. She looked like an angry, mean, woman. I think all of the women of the left are, aren’t they?

  • NJK

I think the GOP would do itself a favor, and choose their debate forums a little more carefully in the future. There is no law that says these vintage TV networks are the only place for a debate. Maybe they could choose a place, like C-Span and have people who really know what the country is about to do the debates. People like the Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute, Mark Levin, and some others. People would get to see some professional people asking real questions.

It’s time to stop agreeing to debates with the vintage TV. They aren’t where it’s at anymore. They’re tired, and just stuck in their own little world. They just aren’t very smart. They come off as silly.

  • klaffner

Yeah. I was infuriated by Raddatz. Every time Ryan got to the last sentence where he was going to bring home his point, Raddatz slammed him down and talked over him. She also phrased questions towards Ryan that showed her liberal bias. She pushed Ryan with pointed and adversarial follow ups. I can not think of a similar attempt to hole Biden at all accountable.

  • http://twitter.com/Saids_who said_who

Biden (as most have stated) is a bully. One thing that upset me more than Biden bullish behavior was the Moderator interrupting Ryan in the middle of his argument. Ryan had good points. Something just wasn’t right. It seemed as if she was attempting to protect Biden the clown. I believe she planned it as such.
