Levin says that if the system is going to collapse on August 2 if we don’t raise the debt ceiling, and he doesn’t necessarily believe that it will, but if that’s what’s going to happen then he says let’s get it over with now instead of passing it on to our children and our grandchildren or even letting it happen in 10 years from now when it wIll be even more difficult to bear. He says we can’t keep ignoring the debt, we can’t keep kicking the can down the road. The time is now to deal with it.
