Mark Levin pretty sure Sarah Palin won’t announce on Sept 3rd

Levin says there’s one main reason that he strongly believes that Sarah Palin won’t make an announcement on September 3rd. Because he was in her new movie Undefeated, he knows from what the producer has told him that the movie will hit Pay-Per-View and On-Demand on cable and satellite on September 3rd. He says that it’s doubtful that she would take ‘two bites at the apple’ on that day.

But he goes further and accuses Karl Rove and Dick Morris, who he believes probably knows all of this, of throwing the idea out there that she’s gonna announce on Sept 3rd to create the impression that when she doesn’t announce by then, that she’s incompetent or it’s impossible for her to win. He says that they are working for other candidates in one way or the other and believes they are acting in the best interest of the candidate they are supporting:

  • Sometimes it ticks me off when Levin makes perfect sense.

    • Sarah knows what she’s doing. Just relax and enjoy her toying with the other candidates and the commedia.

Commedia. Did you make that up? I like it.

        • Can’t take credit for it; read it on some old blog and liked it so much I kept a copy. It works in so many ways.

      • I’m really getting sick of these people saying “Sarah didn’t do what I said she’d so, so now she can’t be president!”

Get this, elites: YOU DO NOT MAKE THE RULES. WE DO.

Thank-you sir for this post, I think Mark is 100% on target. To bad Rove and Morris don’t come clean and disclose they are covertly working against her.

Covertly? I thought they were being pretty open about it!

  • Exactly Mark! Sarah never said she would announce on the 3rd, but now the media is hyping it up with more expectations so they can attack Sarah when she does not announce on that particular day.

I’ve said this and I’ll say it again, I love Sarah Palin, but she’s not my choice for President. I hope she doesn’t split the vote and get Romney nominated.

    • I hope Perry and Bachmann don’t split the votes for Palin and get Romney nominated!

      Wow, that was easy!

      • Anonymous

Whatever. Romney is a boring establishment candidate that will do nothing to shake things up, including the EPA. He’ll go to DC with a stick up his rear end and “manage” problems.

Romney would win, but it would be close, if Palin gets it I think it will be closer. I think Perry would smash obama.

        • Anonymous

          Uhm…whatever.
Perry would win, but it would be close, and then he would spend his first four years triangulating to avoid defeat in 2016. Meanwhile ObamaCare would be cemented in, and we would be on that slow-ride “fundamental transformation” Express that passes thru the Wiemar Republic on its way to North Korea. If Romney gets the nomination he loses the same states McCain lost, and we breeze past the Wiemar Republic on the fast track to North Korea. I know Palin would dedicate herself to smashing Obama’s dependency infrastructure, even if it sends her back to Alaska in 2016.

…because she has the character – and the fortitude – that you and the aforementioned candidates lack.

          • I think Perry would handle the problems–not triangulating.

            • Would he make sweetheart deals with big business like he did in Texas? Or pass a dream act?

            • Anonymous

Really? Did you know that Perry wanted free American healthcare extended across the border to Mexicans? That was his solution to illegal aliens sneaking across our border! Give them free American healthcare! He did not support that Arizona bill to allow states to step in and enforce the laws already on the books. He tried to force every young girl to take a new vaccine, with parents being forced to jump through hoops if they wanted to have their own daughter opt out. Perry has serious candidate issues and they are just beginning to come to the forefront. Many in Texas would not even vote for him!

        • Anonymous

I agree. There is no doubt in my mind that Perry would kick the bejudas out of O’. I’m not so sure if Palin would, even though I’d like to have her in the job. She’s still a young lass. We need to be certain we win this one.

          • Anonymous

It is my firm opinion that Bugs Bunny could beat the “bejudas” out of Obama!

        • mike morrison

Perry is Establishment and is untrustworthy.

          • Anonymous

Perry is not untrustworthy because he is establishment, although he is certainly deeply in bed with the establishment GOP. He is untrustworthy because he has made some serious anti conservative statements. And the polls are showing that about 10% of Democrats are saying they will vote for Perry or Bachmann…which tells us that these are the two Obama is least afraid of. By claiming they are voting for a Republican candidate, they hope to push the weakest candidate to the top of the ticket where Obama will clean the floor with them.

    • If Romney is the candidate, I stay home – a choice between a corportatist and a statist aren’t worth the effort to walk into a polling booth.

      • Anonymous

Bad move my friend. I wouldn’t be happy either, but OBAMA MUST GOOOO!

I personally don’t think Romney’s going to get it. If Palin comes into the mix, it will come down to her and Perry and either way, I’m fine with that.

Anyone have good ideas of either Perry’s or Palin’s VP choices? West? Rubio?

        • I think Perry will likely choose Rubio.. if he’s smart. He is already picking up latino voters in Texas, so I think it’d be likely he could increase those he already has with a Rubio ticket.

          • Anonymous

Rubio’s is not a natural born citizen, meaning two parents who were American citizens at the time of his birth…and he has he does not believe he is a natural born citizen…so he would be ineligible to be president and could not be the VP. This is why we really do need the Supreme Court to take up Obama’s eligibility and give us a binding definition of Natural Born that we can hold both parties accountable to. I’m not trying to start a fight over Obama’s birth place, but the country needs a definition and we have a very good case for the supreme’s to look at. I really don’t care which way the decision goes, but we need a definitive decision!

      • Anonymous

You can always vote for the Libertarian candidate (don’t worry, Ron Paul wont be on the ballot). Or write in whoever you want.

        Someone should deserve your vote.

      • Anonymous

Oanager, if you would really vote for a conservative and are not just a concern troll trying to get people to follow you in staying home, then you are making a serious mistake by staying home if Romney is the candidate. He certainly isn’t my first choice either, but I’ll take Romney over Obama any day. We KNOW Obama is trying to take our country down and will use any means possible to accomplish it. Romney will simply be a poor leader on some issues, but he won’t be actively trying to tear our country apart.

    • mike morrison

That’s the plan…to get Romney elected. It’s the Establishment vs US. THEY don’t care about us and will say anything or do anything to continue to control they enjoy no matter who is in charge. That’s why we MUST vote for non-Establishment candidates who put principle above party every time…and I’m not a Ron Paul supporter!

  • JW

Yeah i can believe they are all working against her. Especially, Karl Rove. I’m not sure about Dick Morris.
I get the feeling that Rove doesn’t like Perry either.

  • Looks like the esteemed panel of experts on Special Report with Bret Baier finally came to the correct conclusion regarding Sarah Palin running or not. Of course, me and millions of other members of the great unwashed came to this conclusion a year ago because we do this insane thing called “research,” but hey, better late than never right? 🙂 I guess we can wait until sometime next month when she announces for all the naysayers to say that we were right all along while the Mondale supporter Krauthammer was dead wrong all along.

Anyway, now we can move to phase two where the panel of experts will ridicule her and ignore her record of accomplishment as they declare that “she can’t win the general election.”

I wonder if when they make these pronouncements, will their track record of predicting outcomes (like her not running) be brought up? Clearly, that calls into question their credibility as “serious” analysts. Gotta love phase two!

I am sure polls will show that 150% of conservatives will vote for Obama over Palin etc. They will show that even Zombie Bin Laden outpolls her lol. Yes, just like Carter led Reagan by 25 pts much closer to the actual election than we are now.

    • Anonymous

Yep, just like the polls are showing that 10% of Democrats would vote for Bachmann or Perry! Which tells me that word has gone out that Obama thinks he has the best chance of beating Bachmann or Perry! Either they have something serious on both of them or they just see them as the weakest GOP candidates. They have made it very obvious for the last three years who they know has the very BEST chance of beating Obama!

  • Anonymous

I don’t know about this. I think it makes perfect sense for Palin to announce the same day the movie comes out. Wouldn’t people want to check out the movie just after an announcement?

On the other hand I can’t help thinking Palin has something else up her sleeve. Remember, Obama has promised a “major speech” on his “job creation plan” right after Labor day. I wonder if Sarah’s got another salvo aimed squarely at the TelePrompter in Chief. Think how much fun it will be if she’s got something that upends O’s whole “jobs plan” the way the phrase “death panels” changed the health care debate. It’s like knocking the pegs out from under him with a sledgehammer.

The toe-sucker was on Hannity today. He made some really good observations, but he closed with a slam against Palin, saying, “I don’t think she should run.”

I love Mark Levin but analysis likes this is wimpy. Here is what I mean:

He says that she won’t announce on 9/3 because of yada, yada. Fine.

A good analyst might explore the other possible announcement days. Does his assertion mean she will announce earlier than 9/3; later? This analysis is just about as lazy as what we usually get from Dick Morris and Karl Rove.

    • Frederick

You ought to listen again. Levin strongly feels Rove and Morris are playing on a precieved narrative to influence voters to conclude that the field is set, but really only for Sarah if she doesn’t do as they predict. It’s a persuation/dissuation tactic, so as to later come on tv, on and after Sep. 3rd and attack her. Its predictable because as Levin makes a very good case, Rove is establishment, and not supportive of true conservatives, while pretending to be kingmaker. You can’t possible believe that Rove, nor Morris are fair, and balanced, or neutral. Bushites are very dismissive of Sarah Palin.

      • Anonymous

It’s been obvious for the longest time that it is Palin against the machine. Palin is the only candidate that is not from inside the beltway. Rove, Morris, Ed Rollins et al are just pissing on their turf because Palin is not paying them. If Palin succeeds she adds these useless disinformation turkeys to the ranks of the unemployed.

    • Anonymous

Your theory has a big hole in it. Mark’s point is that Rove and Morris are setting Palin up for criticism by claiming she’s going to announce on Sept 3rd. If Mark then turns around and gives another date, he’d be doing the same thing he’s criticizing them for.

  • Anonymous

Agree, Rove is working for Romney and Morris is working for Obama!

Exactly what would be bigger news than a let down from a fabricated conjecture that Palin will run. All the talking heads will be whining while all the smart voters will be questioning their comments and decide; just who is this Sarah Palin, and then check out “Undefeated” on Demand. Of course, from there if their interest is peaked, they’ll also check out the conservative opposing viewpoints of the Rhino-Progressive pontificating pundits of the establishment’.

  • puma_for_life

This is what I have been saying; this is misinformation campaign by Rove. Also, Moris supports Bachman.

  • Anonymous

Rove SOOOOOOO wishes Palin was his candidate right now. But since he can’t have her, he’ll make sure nobody will.

    • Anonymous

No he doesn’t. The inside the beltway types want the gridlock. They want politics as usual.

You honestly have to go and see “The Undefeated.”

Palin worked with Democrats to get her agenda passed. The Republicans hate her because she exposed the corruption in her own party. That is a mortal sin. One of the first things Palin did was list the jet of the former corrupt governor, Lisa Murkowski’s flippin father, on e-bay. She cut her own salary. She cut expenses when she didn’t have to. 75% of Alaskans are Independents. She had an 88% approval rating, the highest of any governor. She left office leaving the state with a $12 billion dollar surplus. She is a uniter not a divider. She is a politicians worse nightmare. She actually has solutions and is the only proven reformer with executive experience. She is exactly what the machine doesn’t want. They want all the drama and the gridlock.

It will make more sense if she announces from her home state, hopefully, sometime in September!

    • She promised the KWHL guys Bob and Mark if she made an announcement it would be on their show. But she could do it via phone from anywhere. She could be at a podium giving a speech, and say to the crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you don’t mind, but I have a promise to keep.” Pull out the cell phone, dial the pre-arranged back line number while mentioning her promise to B&M, go on the air from the stage and say “remember I promised you guys I’d make any announcement on your show? Well, it’s time for an announcement!”

      The crowd goes wild.

      • Anonymous

I can see how that would be a great plan! Ever thought about being an Event Planner??

      • Anonymous

I think you’re exactly right and that’s why September 3rd isn’t possible. It’s a Saturday and Bob and Mark are the morning drive team. So it’s gotta be on a weekday and it’s gotta be during their show, so the time zone differential matters.

I’ve commented before that I don’t think anyone will hold it against her too much if she doesn’t announce on Bob and Mark’s show. But I really think it does matter and she will keep that promise.

I spent a couple of hours over the weekend at YouTube watching a lot of old videos about Palin. It’s what I did the weekend after she was announced as McCain’s running mate. Bob and Mark are long time Palin supporters she really loves those guys. Just go search for yourself and listen to some of her calls with them. There’s no way she won’t keep that promise to them.

So even I’m not holding her to Sept 3rd even though I said I was.

  • Setting The Record Straight: Wrong & Misleading
    Posted on August 23, 2011

Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin’s political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign. Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24 hour news cycle and that all American’s will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the “politics-as-usual” that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.

PS – Kudos to CNN for setting the record straight, and including Governor Palin’s own words

    from SarahPAC website.

  • Sarah already told everyone point blank that she won’t be a candidate on the third. She also said that she will enter after everyone else has jumped in. Rove just wants Palin to jump in so that the media won’t pay attention to those who jump in after Palin. As we all know, the media will be focused on Palin and only Palin once she’s in. So Rove is trying to game the outcome. Palin isn’t going for it. She’ll join FAR after anyone else can join. There’s what? 15 months to go? Too soon. 14 months too soon. But legally, she’ll have to jump in when the deadline comes.

  • Anonymous

If we trust her to govern the country, why wouldn’t we trust her to run her campaign?
Establishment Rove can’t conceive of how an unconventional campaign would work. Sarah is taking the chattering class and the media to school. Hope they learn something.

You’re wrong… but what you will see is the biggest sheit storm the media has ever produced in all of history and despite the effluent after it settles… Palin will be sitting in the White House.

Now.. I looked at your profile and noticed your link to Blazing Cat Fur and the Blatchford article on Layton’s phony deathbed missive… interesting. We’ve probably got another three weeks of stored up hagiographies on the man compliments of the consensus media … ugh! Thanks for the wake up… I was beginning to be lulled into la la land post Layton’s death.

  • There is no one on the planet that i listen to as intently as i listen to Mark Levin. His is a genius, with experience, perspective, and the guts to tell it like it is.

I wish there were more like him out there.

  • Palin and Bachman are the only candidates I like. As for the others, like Perry, or Romeny, if they were the nominee, I’m torn if I would vot at all. On the one hand voting for a lesser evil is still voting for evil but I really would at least like to slow down the destruction of the country rather than running full force into it.

Romney seems phony and Perry seems like a better phony than Romney.

  • Mark Levin is right about most things, but I still think she’s gonna put her hat in there. I agree what he says about the bone heads Karl Rove and Dick Morris, who have been wrong as many times as they’ve been almost right.

  • Anonymous

Fox just reported that Sarah P. will “make a big announcement on Sept. 3rd”. Hmmm.

  • I think you are very right about Rove and Morris.

  • I think Mark Levin is 100% right about Karl Rove’s and Dick Morris’s motivation for their statements about Sarah Palin.
