Mark Levin to Dick Durbin: Let me tell you the story of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

After Dick Durbin’s pathetic performance on the 2nd amendment today in the gun violence hearing, Mark Levin decided to respond to Durbin by reminding him of a little piece of history, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

We need more men like The Great One!!

    • Anti_Ameritopian

True, but I’d be more than happy with more people in America, politicians in particular, who listen to and follow his guidance.

      • Orangeone

I’m hoping they are after Barky Boy got b!tch slapped by the Levin’s Landmark Legal Foundation with the unconstitutional recess appts to the NLRB

    • Nukeman60

We wouldn’t need more people like Levin, if we had less people like Durbin. Informing the low-information voter and exposing the LameStream should be our main goals in the next few years.

    • NeoKnot

What we need is more educated Americans!

      • In the immortal words of Al Sharpton, “Resist we much!”

      • yacope

the problem is that some are so brainwashed they are impossible to bring back. It’s an uphill battle to educate the uneducated and the obtuse.

Many pretty much say what John Smyth quotes from that true moron Sharpton: “Resist we much!”

    • giomerica

There ARE more men (and women) like the Great One. We just need them to speak up!

    • CalCoolidge

First, we need more men like The Great One.

I agree. He’s about the only one worth listening to.

  • deTocqueville1

A wonderful history lesson by Levin. A reminder of what can happen even when people resist tyranny and why the second amendment is so important.

  • I am a lock-and-load liberal, and I am sick and tired of this President. He’s been way too soft on right-wing dirtbags. It’s time he start arming the ATF with Predator drones (the ones with hellfire missiles). We need to put a BIG FEDERAL BOOT on all right-wing insurrectionist, traitor states. South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Oklahoma need to have their skies filled with Predators. You all want a second Civil War do ya? How did the first one work out? We were superior in tech then, and are superior in tech now. Blue states have Silicon Valley, Caltech and MIT. Good look shooting a Predator with your AR-15 hillbillies. WE WILL PUT YOU DOWN FAST.

    • aPLWBinAK

Are you putting your faith into THIS ATF to fulfill your weird, creepy fantasies? Good luck with that, tell us how it works out for ya….

      • I have faith in my fellow Democrats and Blue Staters. Our technology is superior. Today’s drones are only the beginning. We will NOT tolerate insurrection. Force will be met with force.

        • aPLWBinAK

          Cool…..bring it

        • We the people will not tolerate the trashing of Constitutional Law by the government.

        • Nukeman60

You a funny guy. Always love ya stoppin’ in to enlighten us little ole hillbillies.

By the way, don’t look over your shoulder. There might be a pi$$ed off Marine in Maryland with his finger on the trigger and his sights on the target. But don’t worry. You won’t notice a thing.

          • Orangeone

Me thinks there won’t be anything left for his mommy to bury either.

            • Nukeman60

I think his mommy took a walk a looong time ago.

              • Orangeone

Likely doesn’t know who his daddy is either……sperm donor and welfare father

                • Nukeman60

Didn’t you hear? I’m his daddy. Sorry about not believing in abortion. I thought there was hope.

                • Orangeone

I know for certain you would NEVER father something like that……

                • Nukeman60

I would have to perform the time-honored ritual of Seppuku (腹切り). So, I guess you got me.

              • Yeah… a long walk off a short pier.

        • toongoon

Democrats have proven themselves to be completely dishonest and untrustworthy, they will turn on you when they don’t need you anymore. QUE SERA, SERA.

        • I think your mommy didn’t quite stir enough cyanide into your Koolade.

          • Orangeone

His mommy missed the Jim Jones invite so she’s doing Jones’ biz with the babies she didn’t abort

          • speaking of drinking; I believe harish is the load mommy should have drank.

        • KenInMontana

          You’ll be easy, way easy.

        • Orangeone

We shakin’ . BTW we have the Democrat rolls, know who you are, where you live, and who is in your household. Information is power! And if you think you can do the same, millions of Conservatives are registered Dem. We know who they are, you think they are part of yours, surprise!

        • You don’t know or have sh it. Because those of us who do, don’t talk about it.

        • NJK

Democrats, the party of the stupid.

        • sjmom

Please don’t tell me from NJ your faith is in blue staters. That and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee. Come to think of it you’ll probably need a dollar more.

        • MiketheMarine

Hey, a$$hat, you can’t kill what you can’t see and I want to share a little something with your ignorant @$$. Read this and if you are capable of math, then try figuring out how this next civil war will end.

          Not for the medium bright

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the
University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the
Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: “A democracy is always
temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until
the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the
beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200
years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

          >From bondage to spiritual faith;
          >From spiritual faith to great courage;
          >From courage to liberty;
          >From liberty to abundance;
          >From abundance to complacency;
          >From complacency to apathy;
          >From apathy to dependence;
          >From dependence back into bondage.”
          The Obituary follows:

          Born 1776, Died 2012
It doesn’t hurt to read this several times.
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in
St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning
          the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory
McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens
          of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low
income tenements and living off various forms of government

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
“complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population
already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million
criminal invaders called illegal’s – and they vote – then we can say

          • um… dude. America is not a democracy, contrary to popular opinion. America is constitutional republic. To quote one of those “vast right wing conspiratorial” web sites,

“A Constitutional Republic has some similarities to democracy in that it uses democratic processes to elect representatives and pass new laws, etc. The critical difference lies in the fact that a Constitutional Republic has a Constitution that limits the powers of the government. It also spells out how the government is structured, creating checks on its power and balancing power between the different branches.

The goal of a Constitutional Republic was to avoid the dangerous extreme of either tyranny or mobocracy but what exists in America today is a far cry from the Constitutional Republic our forefathers brought forth.”

            and then there’s this:

“Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution states: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion . . .”

            • MiketheMarine

Unless your name happens to be Lincoln, the tyrant. Funny, how Maobama always compares himself to the assasinated one.

        • Harish—you are truly an idiot…you have no sense of history…have you ever heard of guerrilla warfare..doesn’t Afghanistan give you an idea? Americans are not like Afghan peasants, we have ingenuity and resources, and believe me, you would not want to see an uprising…no one would be safe..especially people like you…

        • yacope

hmmm hows the superior tech working in the middle east? gorilla warfare resists big tech. Make no mistake most of us DON’T want this but if those of you insist on bringing it we will protect ourselves. You have no idea how many of us unassuming go around our business every day peaceful people will NOT tolerate people like you taking our freedom away… and don’t forget it works both ways and the food and oil we have can be taken away from your urban deserts, I wonder how the urbanites that know nothing of raising food will do when gas, oil and food stops coming in to the markets.

        • We are Borg. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Dude…. Quit singing and start bringing.

    • You and Code Pink?

    • “And can history produce an instance of a rebellion so honourably conducted? I say nothing of it’s motives. They were founded in ignorance, not wickedness. God forbid we should ever be 20. years without such a rebellion. The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty….The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.”
      Thomas Jefferson

“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.”
      Samuel Adams

You are one of the ignorant that Mr. Adams speaks of if you believe in the power of the government over the power of the people.

I’m in no mood for ignorant people- so I’ll let the founding fathers speak for me.

“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.”
      Samuel Adams

And just in case you’re still a fool looking for an argument, I’ll leave it with the wise words of Thomas Paine: “To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.”

History lesson over… you can wander on back to the daily kos now.

      • las1

Thanks ABiC… your having lived a bit in the ice and snow of our harsh climes certainly did you no ill. Our cold preserved the best in you, and now you thaw and blossom in the warm climes of Florida. Good stuff! I really enjoyed those quotes. And those quotes certainly warn of the likes of debauched Democrat fools like Harish.

        • You’re one of a kind las1 (and I don’t just mean your 3 eyes either!) You’re a gem. Thank you for your sweet words. xoxo

    • toongoon

They are coming after all of us dumdum, one group at a time. You are a fool if you think being an ignorant liberal is going to save you.

    • Orangeone

How did the first Civil War work out? Should have returned the slaves to their black senders in Africa just like the illegal aliens to their Mexican slums.

      • toongoon

    • Nukeman60

Be advised that the military just might not be pointing those drones at us. And it’s God-aweful certain the SEIU doesn’t know how to fly them. Good “look” with that.

Edit: by the way, my nephew works in the Pentagon with the Predator program. He’s interested in your address (just so he can protect you, don’t you know).

      • las1

Oh the irony that the liberal fool can take confidence in a “Blue” Silicon Valley protecting him… a “Valley” conceived and birthed in the lap of fiscal conservative free market principles withiin a sea of liberal mush.

      • KenInMontana

        Here, forward these to your nephew;
        Latitude: 38 (38° 0′ 0.00″ N)
        Longitude: -97 (97° 0′ 0.00″ W)
I’m sure he’ll know what to do with them. 😉

        • las1

          Hmm… a red state… who knew?

Tornadoes blow through there once and a while, don’t they?

        • Nukeman60

Either you are interested in the Degree Confluence Project or you just want him to take out a few trees in Kansas. Which might it be?

Btw, I wasn’t sure if you meant (38N, 97W : Kansas), (38N, 97E : China), or (38N, -97W : south of Czech Republic), so I went with the Confluence Project.

I’ll pass the coordinates along to him, but I just wanted to be sure.

          • las1

Do they even have trees in Kansas?

            • Nukeman60

According to an associate who lives there, NE Kansas has a lot of hardwoods, but go west of that and all you find for trees is along the creek channels.

          • KenInMontana

It will lead said predator to a particular “troll” hole.

            • Nukeman60

You’ve piqued my interest. I will definitely forward the coordinates to him to see what he has to say, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of that exact location in Kansas. The troll seems to be out on lunch break, lol.

    • Goodbye troll.

      • but he was fun.

        • Nukeman60

I’m starting to see a flyby daily these days. Could be a new Alinsky tactic. Today was his day. Hope they didn’t pay him very much.

          • If they paid him anything, it was wasted lol.

            • Nukeman60

Soros has a tendency to waste a lot. I kinda like that. It can’t last forever.

              • 😉

              • Evil Otto

                It can’t last forever.

                And neither can he.

                • Nukeman60

True, but Satan pushes his minions to unnatural ages (but, of course, not forever. God has something to say about that). Hasn’t Soros been around now for a couple a hundred years???

    • NJK

You aren’t a liberal. You’re a traitor and a communist. “Right wing dirtbags?” You mean like the Founders who gave you freedom? Like those “Right wing dirtbags?”

The man you call “President,” is a bum, with a 2.6 GPA. He’s a coke head. He’s Jim Jones, and you’re a useful idiot for believing anything that Muslim stealth Jihadist says. GO TO HELL AND TAKE THAT JIHADIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE WITH YOU. IT’S ABOUT TIME HE GOES HOME.

    • Gtrjag

You’re post makes a better case for the second amendment than any “right-winger” on this sight could make. Thank you very much.

      • Orangeone

It also made the case for mental health commitment records to be entered into the background check process 🙂

        • Gtrjag

I see your point, but most crazy people don’t get committed. I also get very nervous when I hear people talk about mental health and gun restrictions. Who gets to decide who is mentally ill? You cannot legislate a perfect world.

          • Orangeone

What I’m referring to is the existent requirement to interface the adjudicated mental health records into the background check. These are court decisions on mental health commitments.

            • Gtrjag

I understand, and I am not trying to be argumentative. I’m just refuse to give up any ground when it comes to this issue. There are not that many people who have been committed who have gone out and killed people. I think we are trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. If we look at this under the Constitution, the Federal Government does not have the power to require any background check of any kind. Of Course the Constitution I am talking about is that of the Founders, before the interstate commerce clause was redefined to give Congress nearly unlimited power.

              • Orangeone

Here’s an example of how it is supposed to work. Say Person X murders Person Y and is found not guilty by reason of mental incapacity. That person is not a felon but is in the category prohibited from purchasing and having a firearm. This person is falling through the cracks because although adjudicated mentally incompetent, the court ruling does not make its way into the background check.

In MN we have many sex offenders that are deemed mentally incompetent and I don’t want them to pass a background check.

I’ve only heard idiots like Fraudster Franken say everyone needs a mental health exam before a permit was issued.

                I hope that helps.

                • Nukeman60

And if person X murders person Y, by stealing person Z’s gun, and then is declared mentally incompetent, the government will take away person A, B, and C’s guns, so that when they release person X into society again, he can once again murder person A’s children D, E, and F, because person G was not allowed to conceal-carry in order to protect them. A R R G G G.

    • NJK

This is what that dirt bag, stealth Jihadist in the White House is doing. I only hope that tyrant in Syria wants to seek revenge on him. Hopefully he sends out someone to do it, for himself and for America. By the way, we’re going to turn those drones on you when we take back the govt.

Leaked emails prove Obama “backed plan to launch chemical weapon attack on Syria and blame it on Assad”

    • Ray

Lock and Load Liberal, that is funny. BTW, your blue states are dragging the economy down. California is a joke, and people are leaving in droves, Illinois is the murder capitol of the United States and is also the liberal mecca with concern to gun laws, the two are not mutually exclusive. When the Red States pull out, they will be taking the bases with them, AND that will leave two separate liberal nations as well. For there will be an East United States and a West United states and a Central United States. The East and West will be begging the world for a bail out within 5 years because your spending and immorality will be unsustainable.

      • toongoon

I have a feeling Harish is a Chicago native, all too familiar with the Illinois way of killing and tough talk judging by his attitude.

        • Nukeman60

We, you and I, toon, have got him covered if he ever comes out of the inner city. 🙂

          Edit: much like deer hunting.

Yep. I’ll be watching for the guys running from Emanuel’s Neo-KKK. They be never expectin that.

            • Nukeman60

They’ll be running in single file, too. I’m thinking turkey shoot here. Gobble, gobble.

    • sjmom

Liberals don’t lock and load, they run the other way. Oh excuse me to the nanny state.

      • Nukeman60

Come on SJ, didn’t you understand. He locked his knees and loaded his pants. Seems simple enough to me.

        • Orangeone

ROFLMBO, hope he has a stock of Depends

        • Does Harish even know what locked and loaded means really?

          • Nukeman60

“A lock and load liberal” – what an oxyMORON.

      • Liberals have poor trigger discipline and would probably shoot themselves in the foot if not busy shooting the people right next to them. Their over-developed thumbs (from playing too many video games) and weak index fingers prohibit them from shooting straight, anyway. They learned about guns from watching action/adventure movies where the ammo never runs out and everyone’s able to talk in a cool normal voice even after the shooting just stopped inside that dark apartment building hallway. They are self-menacing.

      • Dawg

Liberals tell someone else to lock and load then hide behind the women and and children.

I know this is satire because anyone stupid enough to believe it doesn’t have enough brain cells to even breathe let alone compose such rhetorical nonsense.

Oklahoma ? Where do you think those drones are being made ? Right HERE in Oklahoma ! WE have the drones because WE make the drones .
How’s that gonna work out for you ? 😉

      • sDee

If the regime uses Air Force drones, they are I believe flown from Creech and Nellis. How many military operators under oath, will fire upon citizens? If the local regime enforcers fly them, their operational center will be known to local patriots.

        • theresaaa

They wont have many to fly ,from my understanding Oklahoma has also agreed to store them until needed . So IF they’re ever used on US citizens I don’t think Oklahoma will let another one leave here .

      • Nukeman60

Don’t give him too much credit for intelligence. I suspect he just used an Obama campaign political map to figure out who to rip. He has no idea what actually goes on in those states.

    • white531

Harish, pay no attention whatsoever to these simpletons who call themselves Conservatives. I totally agree with you. Obama has indeed been way too soft in dealing with these idiots who are trying their best to conserve what little is left of the American ideals our Founders tried to preserve for us.

They are dirtbags indeed. They are an impediment to our future. The future we all dream of. The New World Order, and the World Government we all seek. The nirvana, where everyone lives in a state of total happiness, because all their needs are provided for, by the government that we all worship and depend on, to provide all we need, to exist. Why do so many among us, object to that? Are they just plain stupid?

Do they not see the clear plan that Progressives have, for changing this miserable world the Founders gave us? This world where everyone has to work for his own subsistence? Where each person has to provide for himself? What a nightmare!

None of us can live by our own labors. The Progressives among us have made that quite clear. The only way we can survive as a people, is if those among who know how to produce a product or service that produces a profit, share those profits with the rest of humanity who don’t want to work and just want to watch television.

The attitude that Conservatives present to the world is ridiculous at best. I mean really, where in the world did they get this idea, that everyone should work for his own subsistence? That the food he eats and the clothing he wears on his back, should come from his own labors. What a cruel way of looking at life on this planet.

This has been the problem with Conservatives from the very beginning of time. This horrible idea that human beings are somehow able to take care of themselves, without a massive Federal Government, watching out for them.

The whole thing was doomed for failure from the very beginning. Thank God the Progressives came on the scene when they did. Without them, we would still be living in caves and eating Mammoth steaks and berries.

Actually, Mammoth steaks and berries look pretty good right now, considering the Economy Obama has created for us.

Don’t waste your talent, White. Scoop made short work of him.

        • white531

I did all that for nothing? I could have been eating ice cream!

          • Nukeman60

Hey, sometimes the comments we leave are not just for the drivebys. Sometimes we must feed the locals. 🙂

I liked it, at any rate.

      • You did it again whitefriend. 🙂

    • Conniption Fitz

Ya’ll will probably die of AIDS, Gonnohrea, rectal fissures, bowel syndrome, herpes, drugs, dementia, hip and wrist injuries before you are able to mount any sort of attack.

      • Nukeman60

They’re already in the advanced stages of dementia. They’ll forget where they sent the drone and end up firing on their own housing project.

    • Idahoser

you can’t be a ‘liberal’ as defined today, and also expect anybody to give you any credence. So you happen to accidentally fall on the correct side this time. You’re still wrong on everything else, you vote for bad guys who want to continue destroying the former Republic.
Go listen to Rush for six weeks and stop thinking you deserve some kind of respect for being a “liberal”.

    • 6cheri6

Go back to MSNBC and lick obama’s boots some more. We don’t need, or want, you here. We are tired of listening to you rant against us.

P.S. you WILL lose you know!

  • As long as there are people living in this country stupid enough to continue electing reptilians like Durbin (and the rest), I remain a gun owner to the death. If that is what it takes.
Trouble with these dopes is that they do not actually realize the extent this sentiment permeates this nation. Once this becomes inescapably apparent, they’ll leave guns alone and go after an enemy more their size… like unborn children.

  • Nukeman60

I always love coming out of the bunker long enough to hear Levin tell a great story from his bunker. He gets it. He has always gotten it. Durbin? Not so much.

  • notsofastthere

Dick Durbin and Harry Reid, two sleaze in a pod.
Thanks Great One for giving that history lesson on the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

  • Ray

When the first Republican president ignored the 10th amendment, this put into place the Republican idea of a strong Central government, and a precedent that all of the rights enumerated in the constitution were subject to revue and restriction. I have consistently shown how the Republican party is NOT a conservative party, to the grimace of some here. I also have shown you cannot assume it is a conservative party just because there was one conservative that was elected as a Republican. Conservatives are actually the RINO’s we are new to the party, and have tried unsuccessfully to make it Conservative. We have failed, because it is systemic, in that it is a big government party, always was, always will be.

    • Nukeman60

As Glenn Beck said, the Republican party wants to take more into the tent, but if they have nothing to offer what they need is bigger exits out of the tent.

    • Much as I hate to admit it I think you are right. The evidence to support this is ever increasing.

    • Idahoser

wherever it started, the 10th amendment lost any meaning when the states lost their representation in 1913 and basically ceased to exist as the only working check on runaway federal government. That has to be un-done before any improvement is possible.

      • Ray

You are absolutely right, if we form a new TEA party political party, that is one of the things we should work towards, is restoring that representation by having Senators, again, nominated by the state governments and NOT voted on.

  • Joe

The Second Amendment is needed to protect us from all the

    Dick Durbins out there!

  • sjmom

What makes people like Dick Durbin so dangerous is they don’t understand the lessons of history. They live in a fantasy with no consciousness of reality which is why the judges they appoint give light sentences, set the criminals free and put the rest of us in danger. So in fact it is people like him from whom we have to protect ourselves.

  • StrangernFiction

Given that we have a Marxist in the White House, I’d argue it IS happening here.

    • Rocco11

      bet your bottom dollar.

All of you have the wrong attitude toward trolls. I mean really, you do. You have to keep them here as long as you possibly can. You have to have as much fun possible with them.

If that’s not something you feel like doing, please hand them over to me. Please do me that favor. Don’t ban them from the site. Keep them here as long as possible. There isn’t anything on earth more fun than a troll.

    • Nukeman60

I really don’t think Scoop has the same outlook toward trolls as you do.

However, this one did generate over 50 comments for his 2 measly little posts. Very energy-efficient of him.

    • ryanomaniac

      Amen. They are great practice.

  • I’m so into The Mind of The Great One, Mark Levin. Crazy about this presentation that helps US TO NEVER FORGET! PLEASE! I plead with you, please, share this with one college student. one high school student and one mature jr high student per day if possible. Lest WE Forget Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Please share. Love you, Sir

  • Does Durbin have homeowner’s insurance? If he has, then why? What is he worried about? Is he worried about the possibility of something going terribly wrong and want to be protected in case it does? THAT is what the Second Amendment is all about. It is OUR insurance policy that we will not have a tyranny in Washington that will make King George III look like a moderate. Many people carry insurance, even though most never need it. We may never need that insurance policy, but it’s nice to know that we have it. And the way things are going in Washington, it’s critical that we DO have it.

    • Oh, we need it. The Obama administration was exactly what the founding fathers had in mind. Tyranny is alive and living in Washington.

  • americalsgt

Just catching up here, and when I read the rant by Harish, I looked quickly at the likes and saw 531. I thought I had ended up at Mother Jones. Then when I saw that the actual like was associated with the name White, I felt better. It never ceased to amaze my how hateful the lefts rants are. Funny how he anticipated that they could stop an instance of CW II going hot so easily. Guess he figured that this revolution would end as quickly as the left’s revolution ended after Kent State. As you may recall all the anger and upheaval at the college campus pretty much dissipated after 4 dead in O Hi O, save for some catchy lyrics. O Hi O.

  • tinlizzieowner

Durbin would be wise to worry more about this kind of uprising. 😉

The Battle of Athens (sometimes called the McMinn County War) was a rebellion led by citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the local government in August 1946. The citizens, including some World War II veterans, accused the local officials of political corruption and voter intimidation. The event is sometimes cited by firearms ownership advocates as an example of the value of the Second Amendment in combating tyranny.

  • DebbyX

I am so mad I could spit. Listening to talk radio this morning, the father of a Sandy Hook victim took to the microphone and would have you think that we have to make a choice between the life of his boy or our right to bear arms. You get hammered if you don’t break down in tears when these parents speak of their loss. Everybody cried that day! But now, they are attacking OUR RIGHTS because of this tragedy. Some sense needs to brought into this argument. The facts are not getting through and I fear these new gun laws they’re talking about. You can feel the anger in the air. These are not good times in America!

  • NAmericanBlueJacket

Thank you Mr. Levin! Durbin IS a gutter snipe!

  • NAmericanBlueJacket

As horrific as the crime in Connecticut was, our forefathers were wise enough to know that nothing can compare to the tyranny of an out-of-control government. The biggest crimes throughout history have been committed by governments run amuck. With that in mind, they gave us freedom of speech and the right to bear arms as protection.

The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. -Thomas Jefferson

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . the very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good. -George Washington

The Constitution shall never be construed….to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms. -Samuel Adams

    ~A Short History Lesson~

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 …to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control… FIFTY SIX MILLION!!!

IMPORTANT! VIEW THIS VIDEO before you decide ANYTHING about stepping in the direction of gun control!

When self-defense is made illegal, and there are radicals in the government; only BAD things will come to pass!

    @NeoKnot Education or intelligence?
I know many people who are educated beyond their own intelligence, and they are typically liberals.
