Mark Levin just weighed in on Facebook about the House Intelligence Committee hearing today and he wasn’t happy about it:
I watched most of the House Intelligence Committee hearing today. Unfortunately, it shed very little light on the accuracy of past media reports about the Obama administration (NSA, FBI, CIA, DOJ, etc.) investigative and intelligence activity respecting the Trump campaign and Russia. FBI Director James Comey revealed the existence of an ongoing investigation, but neither he nor NSA Director Mike Rogers would confirm or deny past media reports respecting Obama administration actions (NSA, FBI, CIA, DOJ, etc.) during the course of the campaign and in the final days. We also learned nothing about any information shared with prior White House officials, despite a New York Times report about White House officials receiving intelligence information and spreading it with various agencies.
Moreover, Committee Democrats had virtually no interest in these matters. Instead, they mostly smeared and defamed numerous individuals, including the current Secretaries of State and Commerce. Democrat Rep. Castro even suggested that current White House officials may have been the source of leaks against the current White House. Truly bizarre. Hence, we are left with numerous past leaks of anonymous allegations repeated and reported by the media and the revelation of an ongoing investigation without any further information.
Finally, the Ranking Democrat on the Committee, Adam Schiff, is an appalling partisan and propagandist.
Overall, a bad outcome for the country.
Schiff is a partisan hack, so much so that I just couldn’t listen to him today. It’s just too painful.
But he’s right, we didn’t learn much today on any of this and now there’s a cloud hanging over the White House in the form of an official FBI investigation into Trump and people associated with his campaign with respect to Russia.
