In this really interesting clip from earlier today, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s son was harangued by the media to express outrage at Trump’s tweets against John Lewis – he refused.

Whoever the reporter was asked, “were you offended by President-elect Trump’s tweet about John Lewis being all talk and no action?” You can tell King just didn’t want to add to the public furor as he explained that people exaggerate in the heat of the moment, but his goal is to bring the country together. I’m sure the media was disappointed that they weren’t allowed to stoke more outrage. Nothing would have made them happier than to have comments from MLK’s son on MLK day slamming Trump.
