Mediaite stupendously fails to smear Sarah Palin as hypocrite over missing IRS emails

A columnist at Mediaite tried to smear Sarah Palin as a hypocrite for having her own missing emails, but all they did was show a woeful misunderstanding of the word “hypocrite.” Here’s an excerpt:

Perhaps Palin forgot what it was like to be the subject of a similar investigation exactly three years earlier after her office released her emails to the press. On June 13, 2011, the Anchorage Daily News reported that “Nearly a month of former Gov. Sarah Palin’s emails are missing from the documents released to media organizations last week, a gap that raises questions about what other emails might also be missing from what’s being nationally reported as her record as Alaska governor.”

Except Sarah Palin wasn’t under investigation for targeting her political opponents and using the powers of government at the time, and she never told anyone she had emails and then later said they were deleted, and she didn’t destroy documents while being under investigation. Those emails were documents released to the media, not subpoenaed by a congressional investigation.

But none of that matters to he troglodytes that write at Mediaite and their readers – they just want the chance to attack Sarah Palin so that they can reassure themselves that they’re better than the normal Americans who admire her.
