Mike Huckabee Loses His Mind In Evil Speech Praising North Korea … Or Something

Was that too strong of a title? Are those words too extreme? Perhaps an exaggeration? Oh.

Huckabee was speaking this weekend in New Hampshire and shocked the crowd when he said “my gosh, I’m beginning to think there’s more freedom in North Korea sometimes than there is in the United States.” Up until that point, his speech was going OK. After that was OK. But that …

I mean, call me old-fashioned, but I’m one of those fuddy-duddies who sort of likes that I don’t get eaten alive by packs of wild dogs. I appreciate that I don’t have to profess my undying faith in the benevolence of dear leader on pain of imprisonment or death. I cherish that I don’t have to endure visits from Dennis Rodman. Guilty. I guess I just have some out of date values. I think it’s better in America, where we have electricity at night.

I mean, my gosh, sometimes I think there is more sanity in cloning Lizzie Borden’s DNA and using it to create an axe-wielding super gator than there is in Mike Huckabee. But maybe that goes too far. I just don’t know anymore. I guess maybe I should just go play guitar and try mightily to resist the siren song of McDonald’s to get some perspective.

In any case, I hereby declare Mike Huckabee my “#Facepalm of the Week.” Substantial cash prize to be withheld.
