Morning Joe says Trump isn’t even inaugurated yet and he’s fighting with everyone from the intelligence agency to John Lewis to Angela Merkel – all in one weekend! Joe says if Trump doesn’t stop this, his approval ratings will collapse into the 20s:

I think Joe has a point. While there are some fights worth having, Trump needs to be more careful and pick his battles more wisely.
Right now anyone who attacks Trump is assured of getting a nasty tweet from him in response. And by responding Trump is elevating their argument to the level of the national news. People know this now and will attack him more fiercely just to manipulate him into attacking them back to get attention.
Not to mention it’s just not presidential to lash out at everyone. Trump said he could be presidential many times on the campaign trail. It’s time for him to live up to that promise.
