This is a great example of how people are tricked into spreading fake news. All you need is a cloak of credibility and a headline that people WANT really BADLY to be true.
Then they’ll tweet away like idiots:
Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka to leave the White House – LA Times https://t.co/hRLuOrREvE
— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) August 20, 2017
Yeah no, that’s not true. The article is from May, and it was a false report.
But idiots are retweeting it anyway, without clicking and without reading the article closely:
C’mon people.
If true, and Gorka's leaving, Kelly's doing a good job clearing a bunch of dangerous crazies from the WH…except 1. https://t.co/SoSTBQhlUH

Seb Gorka is reportedly leaving the Trump administration, leaving unanswered questions we're fighting to answer 1/3 https://t.co/N08XdvjOJA

Premature on the Gorka thing — my bad… reports are that he's on the bubble and the old clip came up in my feed… fake news!

Seriously. Does no one click the crap they push?!?!
Today on Twitter: parody Antifa account being mistaken for real, LA Times piece on Gorka firing from May being passed around as current
— Quinta Jurecic (@qjurecic) August 20, 2017
Seeing an old AP story from May (which was accurate then) being shared about Gorka getting pushed out. Gorka is in trouble but not out.
— Yashar Ali (@yashar) August 20, 2017
Can everyone stop sharing the fucking AP report about Gorka being fired since it's from May kthanks
— Olivia Nuzzi (@Olivianuzzi) August 20, 2017
That’s kind of amazing.
The news of Gorka’s demise are greatly exaggerated.
Reports are that Gorka IS in trouble, but he’s not out yet. And he may stay foreverrr….
