Mia Love is in the fight for her life to unseat Democrat Jim Matheson and become the first black Republican woman to be elected, a title she doesn’t really care for. As the video points out, she cares much more about her conservatism than she does her race:

If you want to contribute to Mia Love, you can do it here. She needs the money and this would be a great win for conservatives.

    Sure hope she wins!
I don’t know where to send some money first, so many important races.

Plus, Mitt sent us an autographed picture the other day.
I’m not sure where it is right now :)

But I’ll still vote for him.

Why would MSNBC do a “great” profile of any Conservative? Something doesn’t sound right with that.

    • c4pfan

      I know, I don’t trust anything MSNBC.

    • stevenbiot

Maybe the MSNBC staff wanted to see what it felt like to have a partially unbiased reporting day at the nut house. Don’t worry. It won’t ever happen again.

      • James1754

MSNBC unbiased? I can think of several comparison, none of them pretty.

    • CalCoolidge

MS NBC thinks they are hitting the Repubs for having a lack of diversity.

Notice their story is all based on group identity: woman, black, Mormon. That’s all they see and all they will ever see.

    • http://profiles.google.com/quindan Daniel Quinn

So they could promote her democrat opponent.

  • freenca

With her content of character attitude and work ethic orientation, I sincerely hope she goes to DC! She’ll be a great asset to the conservative team.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bill.right.92 Bill Right

We need true conservatives in Congress, Hope she does well.

  • Army_Pilot1967

I wish Mia victory in November and much success in D.C. She seems to be mature, level-headed and intelligent. I would like to see more videos of her and her positions on various situations that we find ourselves in as a nation. Maybe she’s a female Allen West?

    • Patriot077

At the very least, she knows that to achieve the American Dream one can’t stay dependent on the government.

  • Rshill7

Mia Love. What a great name. Godspeed sister!

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/H3FKUGAPVG6CDFYSCJHSAIAZW4 david r

” Love is in the air!” It will be come november.

  • keyesforpres

I had seen something about her a few months back. She sounds great!!
This was a pretty fair report, except the part where they said Republicans have had a problem with inclusiveness…um no…we welcome everyone.

  • marketcomp

I hopes she has the fortitude like Allen West! Lord knows he needs some forces in the CBC to join with him.

  • c4pfan

    Is it that close?

  • lauslausdeo

Mia Love– the the only one worth listening to on MSNBC! Clean out the hypocrites in Congress! “4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.” ~ Matthew 23:4

Note the quote from the reporter: “Love says that she’d vote to reduce programs aimed at reducing poverty”. I’m guessing that she didn’t say exactly that. NBC.

    • kong1967

Yeah, no doubt. Liberals view welfare as a poverty reducing program, when in reality its not. If you’re on welfare you’re probably still poor…but completely dependant on government. If she said she wanted to reduce welfare roles and put people to work it would be easy for them to twist that into “she wants to reduce programs that reduce poverty”. They are unethical lying bastards.

  • Nukeman60

Mia Love is a great Congressional choice. We should all back her any way we can.

Having said that, I suspect MSNBC told their Black reporter to go out and find a fast rising, minority, non-Christian woman to do a story on. The best he could come up with was a Mormon, Black woman, running from an ‘all white’ town in an ‘all white’ Republican party. I believe the word ‘Black’ was the most frequently used word in this entire piece. They found there were no candidates on the Democrat side, as none are shining stars.

MSNBC helped out Mia Love more than they probably wanted to. I’m sure that’s why the anchor had to throw in the little slam at the end, “Well, she probably has a better than 50-50 chance because of the redistricting they did to make it tougher for Matheson.”

  • John3_3

Why are liberals so racist? They are always concerned with race. Everything is about race with them. They always have to point it out and make deal out of it when no deal has to be made out of it and no one else is making a deal out of it.

I’m supposed to be a racist. I’m a middle aged white, born again Christian from rural South Dakota. I can ride, rope, hammer and paint; do things with my hands that most men can’t, metro sexual men turn my stomach and if you can’t be somewhat self sufficient there’s something wrong with you is my attitude.

But I love Alan West. Because he is a true leader and a true hero. I don’t look at his color, I look at his character. Libs are the EXACT opposite, they look at race and not character.

    • puma_for_life

You are so right. Interesting, she is the child of Haitian immigrants, therefore, she is not African-American and has no hang-ups about race. She is a strong independent woman. Interesting, as it appears that she is married to a caucasian. Note: MSNBC sent an “African-American” (probably the only one on staff) to cover the story (really to cover their a**..) and do not mention her husband. They are racists. Mia is great!! I love her name, also… beautiful. (Do they always talk like that on that station?) Really weird.

    • kong1967

Well, you are white, you are male, you don’t consider race when evaluating someone, you don’t believe in special concessions based on race, you’re a racist.

To the left, the fact that we don’t want to bend over backwards to throw everything to the blacks via diversity or affirmative action…we are racist. We don’t care that blacks are discriminated against and that whitey holds them down. We don’t want to lend a helping hand to adjust for the previously noted discrimination.

It’s hogwash. We believe in equal opportunities for everyone regardless of race…but success has to be achieved on everyone’s own merits, hard work, and persistence. Color means nothing. The left refuses to see anything but color, gender, social class, religion or lack of, and etc. They are the racists.

  • Arrrggghhh

    Kick ass Mia!

  • stevenbiot

Nice! We need a hard hitting, black, conservative female representing our movement. Conservatives aren’t concerned with race. We want limited government, more of our paychecks, and our individual liberty intact and protected.

      Oxymoron much? LOL!

      • stevenbiot

        Haha. Yeah. I guess.

  • Richard Easbey

This woman is wonderful; we would be PRIVILEGED to have her in Congress. If I weren’t a casualty of the Obama “recovery” I would love to be able to donate a few bucks.

    • kong1967

Nonsense, Obama said you’ve recovered and you’re doing just fine.

Obama is a jerk. I wish you well on getting back to where you want to be.

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

Seems like a fine lady with a great future. Between her and Allen West, perhaps more African-Americans will stand out in the party. I think they can help spread the message that more government is NOT the answer to all your problems. Only YOU can make a difference in your life. That is, of course, assuming we can get this obscene Federal bureaucracy off of our backs, the one main thing stopping so many people from reaching their fullest potential.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=559640042 Ryne Pfeifer

    She will win.

    • nibblesyble

      Love it!

    • kong1967

Yeah, and he’s going to use the same ol’ play book of scaring voters into believing that she wants take everything away from everyone.

  • PVG

    WOO HOO…….How exciting!

  • James1754

A black conservative female republican in congress. The is the democrat party’s worst nightmare!
I need to send some money.

    • kong1967

True, but I won’t vote for someone just because of their skin color so we have a weapon and a magnet to draw in more blacks to our party. That’s just going to be a beneficial benefit that comes with the package. The left voted in multiple blacks, including Obama, just to prove that they aren’t racist and they are diverse. Many of the voters admitted it. Sickening.

BTW, I’m not saying that you would vote for someone for that purpose. I just wanted to compare the back-handed motives of Democrats to our honest votes of support for our candidates.

      • James1754

Never said I would. However this woman comes across as conservative and is running against a liberal democrat. So, all thing considered, the choice would be easy.

        • kong1967

          “Never said I would.”

I know, and I hoped you wouldn’t think I was insinuating that.

          • James1754

            No

  • rjcylon

Wow other than the shot at republicans for “not being diverse” this is almost a legitimate, non partisan news story. MSNBC has set the bar so low that it’s not hard for them to rise above it.

    • kong1967

I don’t think it was a respectable profile. Even during the interview they constantly made it about her race and gender while she insisted those things don’t matter. Disgusting, and they once again showed they can’t look beyond those things.

  • Rob_Bryant

This will probably be an unpopular comment that I’m about to make. But, I think it’s possible to maintain if we do it correctly…

I think we should institutionalize social security into the Constitution/Bill of Rights.

    Hear me out!

Social security was originally paid for by each individual. This past year, however, the payroll tax got cut. This means each person is contributing less to their own retirement. Firstly, let’s take the cut that happened, apply it to the income of people, and not make others pay for other folks to retire. The cut should’ve been on income tax, and not on their payroll tax.

Then, let’s apply social security as an amendment. Each person can pay into it and get something back in their retirement. There are ways to make sure that we don’t go over budget and destroy lives. We should analyze it beforehand and make sure we have our ducks in line though. I’m POSITIVE that we can get social security back into a state that is sustainable. Then put it in the Constitution and take that away from the leftists.

Any thoughts? I would like to hear both negatives and positives so I can figure out if this is a good deal to run with (even if it’s not something that may or may not happen this rotation).

    • wodiej

too many takers and not enough givers.

  • kong1967

“Republicans have been long time criticized for it’s lack of diversity”.

Why is that, moron? Blacks are almost entirely liberal and women are mostly liberal. Seems to me liberals have a much larger pool to draw from, don’t you think? Additionally, we don’t vote people into office using affirmative action. We won’t vote for a President just because of his skin color. They have to earn it, as many women and blacks have done. Compare the intelligence level of conservative blacks and women to liberal counterparts in Congress. Liberals vote in the dumbest people they can find and it’s obviously to show they are a diverse party.

  • wodiej

Mia Love would be a great addition to conservatives. MSNBC has nothing insulting or smart to say because she’s black even though she’s conservative.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/H3FKUGAPVG6CDFYSCJHSAIAZW4 david r

We conservatives see neither color, race or creed. We don’t put people into classes, whether it be sociological, social economic or gender.
I hope Mia Love wins come this November and I hope her win reminds people…” it is the content of her character that will win the day…not the color of her skin”. Martin Luther King
