Muslim charged with making TERROR threats in gun video outside Christian conference

OK, so Ehab Jaber is being charged with making terroristic threats because he brandished a bunch of weapons while outside a Christian conference, in his car, on a Facebook video.

I mean that sounds like a bad idea.

So cops investigated and they found METH at the guy’s house. Another bad idea.

The man in a viral Facebook video broadcasted live outside a Christian Conference in Sioux Falls earlier in April has been charged with one count of a terrorist threat.

45-year-old Ehab Jaber’s charges come from the alleged incident on April 9. In his Facebook Live video, he was seen with a number of firearms.

When authorities searched his home, they seized firearms and meth.

Jaber spoke on Facebook about the incident earlier this week.

More than 300 people turned out for the event with a former Muslim turned Christian pastor Shahram Hadian and Christian Radio Host Brannon Howse.

Jaber’s video showed him in the parking lot of the Sioux Falls hotel and in the event.

“I did not go to a Christian conference to hurt anybody. I went to protest. I went to protest an anti-Muslim rally,” Jaber said earlier this week.

Jaber says he went to join the pro-Muslim protest outside the hotel….

More from KSFY:

Attorney General Marty Jackley and Lincoln County State’s Attorney Tom Wollman confirm today that Ehab Abdulmutta Jaber, 45, Sioux Falls, has been arrested by the Sioux Falls Police Department and charged with one count of terrorist threat, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years in the state penitentiary and/or $10,000.

During a search of Jaber’s residence law enforcement seized firearms as well as methamphetamine.

Charges stem from an alleged incident on April 9, 2017, involving Jaber at a hotel in Sioux Falls. He was observed to have been videotaping an ongoing event with his cell phone and carrying a handgun. He was escorted out of the event, but later was found to be live streaming terrorist threats to the public and brandishing a number of firearms and ammunition.

SO look I can see an innocent explanation for all of this. He’s a guy who’s upset and he’s showing off his guns not as a warning that he’s going to shoot anyone but that he can protect himself. We would normally applaud how bad ass it is if it was anyone else. But he’s a Muslim. And if the dude is on meth, as was allegedly found at his house, well… that’s a little different, right?

Muslims who are citizens here are allowed the same rights anyone else is. But I don’t think anyone has the right to make what appear to be threats of violence…
