Lots of people are sharing this one. Trump’s Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was on Fox News and he was asked if Trump represents American values.
His response is… something.

Wow. Basically Tillerson says everyone knows the American institutions and government is dedicated to preserving and representing those American values we all know and love. But when he’s pressed about Trump, he simply says, “the president speaks for himself.”
Now, people are taking this to mean that Tillerson is saying Trump doesn’t represent American values, but represents himself.

BUT, BUT, BUT, it *could* just mean that he doesn’t want to speak FOR Trump about that, right? I mean, it would still be remarkable, but much less so with this interpretation…
