Islmawatch – An Arab Islamic Palestine or Palestinian people is a myth. Historically, Palestine meant the Jewish ‘Holy Land’ and Palestinian stood for ‘Jews of the Holy Land’… So the current understanding of Palestine and Palestinians is a myth at best and hijacking of what belonged to others at worst.

In one of the most candid admissions ever made, Zuhair Muhsin, little known leader of the PLO splinter gang known as “Al Sa’iqa” (The Storm) and backed by Syria, said in a March 31, 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw:

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

Too bad no one will admit this, or believe it.

  • 57thunderbird

I have been aware of this fact for a very long time. However nobody in the government will admit to it

    • notsofastthere

I remember Rev. John Hagee addressing this issue many years back. He said historically there was never a Palestine, but we have all come to think there is.

      • 57thunderbird

        Yup.True.

      • GJPinks

Actually there was. It is the Latin for the homeland of the Philistines. Rome decreed the name change as an insult to the Jews following their last great revolt.

        • notsofastthere

Thank you for the clarification. My details of Hagee’s lecture were vague.

I would like to see documentation as I don’t believe that is true. The Philistines were a totally different people. They were not believed to be Semitic; some believe they may have been Indo-European although that’s not certain. There culture was integrated with the Canaanites. Palestine was a barren region, not a country. There are no Palestinians any more that being born in the Sahara Desert makes you a “Saharian.” Mark Twain describes it best back around 1869 in Innocents Abroad (end of chapter 56):

“Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes. Over it broods the spell of a curse that has withered its fields and fettered its energies. Where Sodom and Gomorrah reared their domes and towers, that solemn sea now floods the plain, in whose bitter waters no living thing exists—over whose waveless surface the blistering air hangs motionless and dead—about whose borders nothing grows but weeds, and scattering tufts of cane, and that treacherous fruit that promises refreshment to parching lips, but turns to ashes at the touch. Nazareth is forlorn; about that ford of Jordan where the hosts of Israel entered the Promised Land with songs of rejoicing, one finds only a squalid camp of fantastic Bedouins of the desert; Jericho the accursed, lies a moldering ruin, to-day, even as Joshua’s miracle left it more than three thousand years ago; Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and their humiliation, have nothing about them now to remind one that they once knew the high honor of the Saviour’s presence; the hallowed spot where the shepherds watched their flocks by night, and where the angels sang Peace on earth, good will to men, is untenanted by any living creature, and unblessed by any feature that is pleasant to the eye.”

It was primary a land of desert and Bedouins that held no interest UNTIL Jews began returning to Israel in earnest after WWII. Ethnic Arabs and some others ethnic groups are kept in poverty by their own people in refugee camps to keep them from assimilating back into their native Arab culture. Their kept down to keep them angry and blaming the Israelis for their poverty.

Please don’t try to confuse liberals with facts, or an article which is factually correct, as it would only contradict what they read in the nyslimes or see on commie nazi news (cnn).

I am sorry to interrupt since we are talking about myths and morons but the brain trust Leonardo DiCaprio (Drudge) says that normal people do not drive more than 50 km (31 mi) a day as he prepares to jet (instead of in a rowboat like normal environmental nut jobs) around the world for his environmental pilgrimage. Do you think he is going to land every 50 km?

Actually, the first people called Palestinians were the Jews, when Israel was re-named Palestine by the Romans to mock the Jews by calling their land after the Philistines, who worshipped idols like Baal (sex orgies in their temples) and Molech (child sacrifice) and who were mortal enemies of the Jews.

Moreover, Yassar Arafat (who lied about his birthplace, claiming to have been born in Jerusalem, when he was born in Cairo) was the one who appropriated the word Palestinians for the mix of Arabs and Muslims who were not welcome in Egypt, Saudi Arabia or Jordan (which was supposed to be the new muslim Palestine) and was much larger than the land given to Israel by Britain and the council of nations after WWII.

Islamists do not make good neighbors as they are always encroaching, lying and attacking those whose nations border them. The various muslim tribes also attack and kill each other. It is not a religion of peace and good will.

The ‘Palestinians’ have never recognized Israel’s right to exist and they have never honored one of their signed treaties with Israel.

Why? Written into the core texts (Koran, etc.), teachings and customs are centuries of hatred, racism (Jews are descended from pigs and apes), directives to kill the Jews, Christians and misogyny, violence, violation of human rights, injustice, slavery, bestiality, as well as a barbaric and unmerciful system of punishment.

The first half of the Koran completely contradicts the second half after Mohammed began to descend into insane hatred and violence. There is no consistency. That is why muslims are always warring amongst themselves. Therefore, there will never be peace with Islam or within Islam.

Islam is greedy, aggressive and covetous – they want ALL land and wealth. They still claim Spain. They cannot let the Jews have one small sliver of land – ever. Though the Koran does not mention Jerusalem even once, but is Israel’s Holy City, the Islamists cannot and will not let go.

One theory regarding the first and second half of The Koran (PSOI) is that the first half was written or dictated by Mohammed when he was trying to attract Jews, Christians and Zoastrians into a universalist type lets all get along version of religion. It was not accepted and they killed Mohammed, named one of their inner group as Mohammed moved to another area, used the earlier base religion, added die for virgins, kill and take the possessions of others in the second half. Mohammed was the first Dread Pirate Roberts.
Read the Koran in the current non time line version it bounces back and forth allowing you to read it any way you want. Read in in the order it was written, you can see the original Mohammed and then Dread Prophet Mohammed as inspired by Satan.

Here are quotes from Arab/Muslim leaders over the decades about the ‘invention’ of Palestinian people for political purposes.

1937 – Arab leader, Abd al-Mahdi, testifying before the 1937 Peel Commission, said, “There is no such land. Palestine is a term invented by the Zionists. There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our land was for hundreds of years a part of Syria.”

1947 – The prominent Arab historian, Dr. Philip Hitti, expressed himself as follows at the Anglo-American commission of inquiry at the State Department: “Sir, Palestine never existed throughout history. Absolutely not!” Professor Juhan Hazam, testifying at that same commission, said, “Before 1917, when Balfour made his declaration, there had never been a Palestinian question, and there was no Palestine as a political or geographic unit.”

1956 – PLO founder, Ahmed Shukari, proclaimed from the UN podium, as the Arab League’s ambassador there, “Such a creature as Palestine does not exist at all. This land is nothing but the southern portion of Greater Syria…”

1970 – Yasir Arafat told the reporter Arianna Palazzi, “The question of borders doesn’t interest us… From the Arab standpoint, we mustn’t talk about borders. Palestine is nothing but a drop in an enormous ocean. Our nation is the Arabic nation that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea and beyond it… The PLO is fighting Israel in the name of Pan-Arabism. What you call ‘Jordan’ is nothing more than Palestine.”

1974 – The late Syrian President, Hafez al-Assad, declared, “It would be fitting for us to mention to the responsible Israeli authorities that we view Palestine not just as an inseparable part of the Arab nation, but also as a part of southern Syria.” In 1987 he reiterated this at a conference in Amman by saying, “A country named ‘Palestine’ has never existed.”

1977 – “PLO leader, Zahir Muhsein, head of the as-Sa’iqa Organization) revealed the truth in an interview to the Dutch newspaper Trouw. “The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the State of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism for tactical reasons. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”

1987 – Syrian President Assad, “A country named ‘Palestine’ has never existed.” Jordan’s King Hussein responded, “The appearance of the national Palestinian persona serves as a response to Israel’s claim that Palestine is Jewish.”

See – NEWT was right about the Palestinians (foreign oil and a whole lot of other things he said during the GOP Primaries).

[Too bad Wussie Womney was selected by the Gop Wussie party. Either Bachmann or Palin have more testosterone than Romney, Cantor and Boehner put together.]

One commonly accepted myth concerning the Jewish presence in ‘Palestine’ is that after the Roman seige and destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., the Jewish presence in the land dissappeared.

While many were killed and many migrated to other lands in the following years, there remained a continual Jewish presence in Palestine all the way till the time modern Zionists from Europe began settling there starting in the late 18th century. At that time the sparsely populated region was inhabited by a mixture of Jews, Christians, and Muslims (and other small groups, like the Druze and Samaritans) .

Palestine is an area in Mid-East. The people yammering for P sate are Arabs that no other Mid-East country wants. Most would come to the USA if they could. We do not want to accommodate when they have not assimalated because they can now set up tribes with no regard for their hosts.
