New American Crossroads ad: Truth is the best defense against Obama

We really are seeing some great ads out this morning, and this one from American Crossroads is another one that showcases the lies Obama has told and how over and over and over again with clear refutations:

    Ok … this one I like 🙂

  • deeme

Blame Bush, attack, lie.cover up..start over…Blame Romney…that’s all he has. ..that and a media willing to do the same…

    • smmy33

This is the ad they should they put on battle ground states… It’s long but worth it, instead of a bunch of 30 second ads…. The reason republicans don’ win in the polls is because democrats lie, have no shame in lying, and they are consistent until it gets into the the greater public , ” Bush tax cuts for the rich” when 80% of the 2003 cuts benefited the middle class, and a decade after they call raises taxes as ” taxes cut”

With a media that let’s democrats get away with lie after lie, especially with Obama, and with Reoublicans who wouldn’t confront each lie with cold truths, or even put their polices in the best light … Voters get confused, with ad after ad of Obama saying Romney with raise taxes on the middle class and Obama won’t, when just the opposite is true…. Voters believe like they did in 2008 that republicans will raise taxes on the middle class to help the rich.. And that’t just one of the lies that win democrats Obama the elections.

Republicans need ads and people on tv knocking down every lie Obama tells about his own record and about Romney / Ryan, be ause they game plan confuse the voters with so many lies they don’t know what to believe.

      • deeme

Maybe in the debates..the problem is the kids who aren’t paying attention..I would go after them by telling them they will be paying for all the freebies in the end..all the bribery will be on their backs..the other thing they need to point out is what you said..everything that they are blaming Bush for was Nancy , Harry and Fannie and Freddie and Obama went along with all of for it all..It’s such hypocrisy..and they have Ocare kicking in after the election for a reason , what is in it is a real tax nightmare and the government calling the shots on our well being , they can’t be in charge of our lives everything they touch goes bankrupt..I’ve seen many utubes of him contradicintin his own words …Hannity showed the one where he acted like he didn’t know Rev.Wright last night next to the latest one…I’ve never seen lying like this and the only reasons Libs get away with it ,is the media ignores it …

        • Orangeone

Great idea and an easy ad. Start with ObamaPhones. College kids all have cell phones. Mommy and Daddy probably pay for them. Tell them they will pay for their own plus the phones given to welfare recipients!

      • bobemakk

Romney hit on a lot of sore topics last night in the debate and he outshined all Obamas lies. I can’t wait until Ryan buries the “gaffe king” Biden in the VP debate.

  • proudhispanicconservative

Great ad too bad we never see them on tv, here in florida for every Romney ad, we see 6 Obama ads. Here is proof

    • conwis

I also never see them on the web except on this site.

    • kajunredbull

Relax my USA Friend! Now that all Olympia hoopla is gone and our first debate is tonight, note that Romney has over 400 million dollars left in his war chest while BHO in now behind in funds. After tonight Romney/Ryan will unload on the tv ads like a well orchestrated symphony and start blowing away the quoted from The View “Eye Candy”!!! LOL

Gotta remember, Romney is a successful businessman and does not rattle easy, while BO only knows how to SPEND. Romney has kept a low profile until this moment….stand back and watch the fireworks!

      • proudhispanicconservative

From your mouth to god’s ears, I will be reporting for all my fellow scoopers here when it starts.

      • loriaw07

That is what I have been saying for weeks! Romney is a smart man, letting them run their mouths. He is going to come out swinging these last few weeks! And he’s going to make them look like the asses they are.

  • Ok….. i think this one claims the “ad of the year” title.

  • ColoradoTim

I like the ad personally. But I suspect it isn’t effective for getting liberals to change their vote and support Romney. The liberals “want” to believe Obama, so they will filter out any evidence that doesn’t support their beliefs. Facts don’t penetrate “feelings.”

    • unclesamnephew

cousin tim, exactly what i was thinking. libs can’t handle the truth

    • tshtsh

I have come to the conclusion that those who say they have not decided are going to vote for b.o. Someone who says, “Oh, I am waiting for the debate”, has made up their “mind” already. What could b.o. possibility say besides the truth for a change and yet the “undecided” would still vote for b.o. b.o. actions are much louder than his rhetoric.

    • It is impossible to argue against “feelings”. A friend came across one individual who claimed no matter how many holes you could punch into his arguments objectively, he would still believe what he wants to because it “feels right”!

      • ColoradoTim

There is a way to change their feelings. You have to tell them to “Search your feelings. See if they belong to the true spirit.”

This makes absolutely no sense to you and other “logical-thinking” types. But it makes absolutely perfect sense to those that make decisions based on their feelings.

There are a lot of OWS types that don’t like Obama. They are the ones that questioned their feelings.

    • poljunkie

My view about most liberals now is that they dont even like Obama—they just want to win the election, because they hate ANY Republican more.

    • capelady

The Democrat base that voted God out of their platform cannot be reached. They are brain dead. Historically, great American events from the Revolution to the Civil War have succeeded with the support of 60% of the American people. There has always been a 30-40% who resisted. Romney has to reach that 60%!!!

  • Nukeman60

This is a good ad. The truth shall set them free. However, the word truth is not in Obama’s vocabulary. I can see him now, watching this ad, alone in his upstairs study, tokin’ on some weed:

Obama: “What is this word ‘truth’? I don’t understand. Where do they think they’re going with this? Michelle, what’s going on here? Wha’ the ….”

    • It has and will continue to be an ongoing battle. I tend to recall reading about some high up government official about 2,000 years ago ask, “What is Truth?” And he was staring right into the very face of Truth!

  • Not bad at all. Keep hitting Obama on the facts, keep going after him with his own words, show what a liar he really is, and you can’t lose. People are not stupid. They know what we’ve been through over the past four years. All you have to do is remind them that this guy is an empty suit full of empty promises. THAT will work.

  • Tiffini

I live in Bakersfield, CA between LA and Fresno. We only see Obama ads and those are few and far between. I have been linking these ads and I know others have as well. I’m wondering if maybe we will see more tv spots after the debate tonight?

    • No offense, but any money spent on a Romney ad in CA is completely wasted. Your state is too far gone.

      • Tiffini

none taken. I agree, the red counties are far outnumbered by the blue. I still vote though.

        • kong1967

It’s good that you still vote because the numbers can change over the years. If no one bothered to vote Republican the impression would be that the party is dead in California. You never know when the surge will come or when a lot of Dems stay at home. If the polls are off maybe this is the year? I doubt it, but I dream big.

          • Tiffini

I like that dream, wouldn’t that shut a lot of people up.

            • kong1967

Yes it would, and it would put the exclamation on an “up yours, Obama!”.

        • wodiej

          good for you-you should. thanks.

          • Tiffini

I feel strange saying you’re welcome for something that every citizen who can should do. because regardless of what anyone tells you voting does matter. and thanks for your support, us conservatives tend to get lonely out here in the once golden state. I can tell you, it’s not going well here. so as Kong 1967 maybe it’s now the dems will stay home and California will again be red and not broke. lol. I can dream big too!

      • tshtsh

I think Mark Levin said something about we need to maximize the popular vote to overcome fraud.

    • 3seven77

I saw an ad for Romney here in deep blue western Washington. It was from a PAC I think. It was the ad of Obama voters who are now voting for Romney. It was a good ad. I hope we see more.

I read recently where Oregon actually is in play now. If Oregon is in play, then so is Washington. We have a very strong Republican candidate for governor, Rob McKenna, and he’s running against the dumbest guy I’ve ever seen. I watched the Gubernatorial debate and came away convinced that Jay Inslee is lucky if he can walk and chew gum at the same time. Inslee is just a dumber version of Tommy Smothers.

      • Tiffini

I love those ads that show the swing from Obama to Romney. Have you noticed how the states that have a Republican governor have lower unemployment numbers? I hope that my state does something, California is at this moment very anti-business. Stunned about Oregon. After last night debate I starting to think anything is possible. Romney was outstanding.

  • Dukehoopsfan

liberals will never change their position or their vote. The key to getting rid of the current occupant of the White House and his corrupt regime is convincing those who would stay home on election day or write in a candidate because they do not like Romney for some reason to recognize the threat to our country and do the right thing. Romney may not be my ideal candidate but when faced with these choices I see no alternative.

Additionally, the Romney campaign has to claim a large percentage of those voters who in 2008 voted “anyone but Bush” and those who were tired of the carnage of two wars. There are quite a few votes up for grabs. The Romney campaign has to get on message and not equivocate.

  • CaseyGeorge

Thank God they used that last clip “If you don’t have a record to run on, you paint your opponent as someone people should run from”

Really, that clip needs to be played over and over again so people start second guessing every attack ad they see

  • Joe

    Let’s call a spade a spade !

    He is not “falsely claiming”

    He is LYING !

If they don’t say that he is LYING
    then they are falsely claiming!

  • Truth? I thought that truth was elusive and so subjective that it cannot be grasped. ///

    • kong1967

In politics it sure is a challenge finding it.

  • tshtsh

Need to put out an Ad for obama supporters that says you do not have to go to the polls if you have an obama phone just text 54321 to vote for obama (you may vote up to 5 times) this message approved by me.

    • joyfulgiver

tshtsh – That’s AWESOME! Maybe you should create a bumper sticker, I’d buy two!

    • kong1967

Omg, I love it…and it would probably work. You might have to add that you’ll send free lottery tickets in the mail for each vote.

    • wodiej

      lmao…that’s a good one.

    • WordsFailMe

That is brilliant. Can you do one in rap?

      • tshtsh

That would be a good idea rhyming and a good beat making it easy for even a liberal to remember.

        • WordsFailMe

Maybe you could add an, “Ummm. Ummm, Ummm…..”

  • Ryan Mobley

Truth is the best response to anything. The problem is that so many Americans have willingly and purposefully blinded themselves from it.

And I am not just talking about the political realm…

  • joyfulgiver

“There are two sides to every story, one seems right until presented with the other.” That’s biblical! The TRUTH shall set you free!

  • MrMicawber

Best ad so far of the season.

Now why aren’t more people seeing this ad?

    Does Mitt want to win?

Flood the airwaves with this ad Mitt! Stop dickering around.

    • kong1967

Depends on where you live. If you’re not in a swing state you will see the ads much less.

      • MrMicawber

Well, I don’t have a tv so what do I know!

But I keep hearing that in swing states all people are seeing is BO ads – maybe this isn’t true. I hope not. I also saw something – maybe it was on Drudge – that BO is way outspending Mitt on tv ads.

I pray & hope you’re right good sir!

        • proudhispanicconservative

It is true sadly more Obama ads then Romney ad.

          • MrMicawber

What on earth are they waiting for??

            McCain redux… uggggg

        • WordsFailMe

Mac- I just noticed your avatar–Great!

          • MrMicawber

        • kong1967

I also heard that Obama is broke. I thought I caught the tail end of a report saying he was $12 milllion in the hole. Don’t quote me on it, because I missed the bulk of the report.

      • Grumble.. grumble… grumble…

        • kong1967

  • A few good men – “You can’t handle the truth”

This is how I wish and imagine a Marine or other Military would address the CIC (Commie In Clown)

  • kong1967

Hang five!! That was pretty darn good. They could make 5,000 of these ads and still not run out of material.

  • wodiej

Another good ad. Looking forward to the debate tonight. I hope Romney pounds obama into sand.

  • virginiagentleman1

While I’m not sure who American Crossroads is, I’ve gotta say that they are really playing hardball with Obama and Biden. Each ad of theirs I see is better then the last!
Now they are after Tim Kaine here in Virginia in his race against George Allen for the senate.
A series of ads using a candidates own words against them is a perfect way of rebutting and reminding voters.

Anyone know who American Crossroads is? I’ve been out of circulation for a while.

    • poljunkie

Good to see yo Virginiagent. So glad you are well and back among us!

      • virginiagentleman1

Thank you for the info milady. They are running some hard hitting ads!

It is GREAT to be back! I’m on the mend and feeling stronger day by day. You are such a dear friend! VG

        • poljunkie

Thanks VG, I missed you. We all missed you.
I read your post the other morning that you made it to the orchard for coffee. I was with you in spirit!

    • poljunkie

I think they are the this group:

This is a Super PAC that practices fundraising, with anonymous donors, for the Republican party. The former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie and former President George W. Bush strategist Karl Rove were behind the formation of this Super PAC. It has raised and spent tens of millions of dollars to defend and elect Republican candidates to federal office, and was very active in the 2010 U.S. midterm elections.

  • MiDoug

my only question is when this will be on every TV in the nation? It’s powerful, but I already knew this so me watching does no good….

  • Joseph ewing

Rove’s group is doing top shelf stuff. I have sent them money (and no one else) in hopes that ads like this run as often as possible in all the battleground states.

    • WordsFailMe

Like you, we have a favorite anti-communist/Islamist/moron action group. Don’t have much but we make our monthly pledge. Thank you for your support!

  • Magnifique!

  • 1vote

Why can’t we call a liar a liar. Sheeple need plain talk. Why so respectful.
I’ve had enough of “dishonest”, “misleading”, “untruths”, “not accurate”, “false claims”, etc.
It is high time we tell it like it is. Damn, I’m mad.

  • Sober_Thinking

    These make my blood boil…

Put them on T.V. and let’s nail this lying bastard.

  • AbdulBX

The primaries really hurt Romney, which is another reason why Santorum sucks. He had no money to defend himself, and Obama ads were and are everywhere, especially on national cable channels, which I see him in New York. The debates are his best shot.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Wow, that ad gave obama some credit for leadership…it was called weak leadership, but I wouldn’t give him any credit at all. He’s a weakling and the entire world is aware of it. He’s a phony and a hollow man!

  • Love it!!!!!!!! Very nicely done with Obama’s Own words and LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE….wonderful….paints the Character of the Man….this is the true essence of the Marxist…Distort, Lie, Misinform, Fraud and Deception!!!

Smack the Fraud with his lies and record of lies….I AM OBAMA BECAUSE I SAY IT….IT IS TRUE…I DECLARE as the IMPERIAL PRESIDENT and DICTATOR!!

More ads like this and just expose him…the Superpacs are the best at hammering Obama…..I love the Multi-Prong line of attacks coming out today!!

  • Juan_Rico

Probably the best one I’ve seen so far.

  • 12grace

Unlike the left we don’t have to lie to prove that obama must not be re-elected.

  • Yazz55

Truth is what the teleprompter displays.

You’re a racist if you don’t believe that.

  • westernhunter

Hope this plays before and after the debate tonight.

  • Orangeone

  • aZjimbo

Amen. Lets get rid of this guy come Nov 6 once and for all. Then we hold Mitt’s feet to the fire.

  • repubboy

it’s a great ad.. about time we hit him hard.. the media is not going to do it.. and i bet the MSM will try and supress these ads..

  • A_Truism
