Kasich has released a new ad today basically calling Trump a Nazi, featuring Col. Tom Moe paraphrasing Martin Niemöller’s famous statement against Hitler, twisting it to attack Trump. It’s pretty disgusting:
Say what you will about Trump and his policies, but these attacks comparing him to Hitler are disgusting. I’ll say again that Trump isn’t my guy, but he’s not out to get Hispanics and blacks as this ad suggests….or you!
While I don’t like the way Trump has gone after Carson in the past, I also don’t like this from Kasich either. These false attacks need to stop. Trump never said Muslims need to register and he never suppressed Jorge Ramos. In fact he let Ramos back into the gathering and spent more than 5 minutes answering his questions. And the twisting of his other statements is just wrong.
If candidates are going to attack Trump, they need to attack him on his policies and not try to turn him into some Nazi nightmare that’s going to break in your house at night and steal your kids or something.
Kasich is clearly a desperate man but I just don’t see this ad hurting Trump at all really, because the people voting for him aren’t going to buy into this crap. Not one bit.
