This is a good ad from Perry, touting his faith, his jobs record and his idea to make Congress part-time, all the while showing how he’s doing the hard work of shaking hands and traveling around Iowa:

Faith is one of the things that draw me to Governor Perry. I will be voting for him. Please watch this video. America is sliding into the abyss. For those that are too afraid to say Zero is like Hitler, don’t be afraid. He is. He hasn’t murdered 6 million Jews, but I don’t think he has a soul. I think people want to reason all of this away. They say, Zero is a “Socialist, or incompetent, or blah, blah, blah.” This gives him cover. He is a sociopath. He lacks a conscience. He lacks a soul. He can commit evil, and feel no remorse. We don’t because we have a conscience. The last thing we need is someone like Romney who doesn’t even have the courage to call Zero what he is. I think socialist is being way too kind to him. I feel evil, when I see or hear him. I usually listen to that God given instinct, and run the other way.

Rick Perry is the best, he is a honest humble and with a great deal of honor. Rick Perry is a consistent conservative with governing experience. He can get this country back on track again.

It is a good ad I am proud to be supporting Rick Perry.

So obvious (to me at least) that this is the guy to rally behind. Sure sign of the times that he’s fighting just to stay in the race instead of being up big.

Pray for wisdom in Iowa’s voters next Tuesday.

I think Perry’s thoughts wander too much, even in his ads. He should pick one subject and nail it.

    I’m rooting for him.

I think that’s out of necessity…trying to cast as wide as net as possible. If he was out in front, I doubt he would be talking about a part time Congress (although it’s not a bad idea), etc.

If he did that, then he would get criticized for only knowing about one issue.

Please dont judge this man based on past debates, he doesnt speak as smooth and slick as newt-romney, judge him by his record and the choice should be simple.

He has absolutely the best record of this field of candidates.

I like Perry and everything he says. But as appealing as a part-time congress is, he really has no way to make that into law.

There needs to be a groundswell of support for this idea rising from the people.

This is sadly standard defeatist conservative attitude. When the democrats wanted to socialize 1/3 of our economy, i.e. health care, with Hillarycare, did they quit and say “No. Not possible.”? The fact they brought Hillarycare forward shows liberals have more brass ones that conservatives. They pursue their goals, no matter how lofty or anti-American, and they stick to it long term. We quit before we are even out of the gate!

This is for my fellow conservatives who are afraid of bold conservative ideas, e.g. right sizing congress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46iBFQwRqi4

Even if it’s not doable, just saying that line makes people think smaller government and that is what we all want. Keep it up Gov. Perry.

I have an idea. Let’s insist that the congress do their job and pass a budget. President Perry should refuse to sign anything until a budget is passed.

I’ll be voting for Perry. From To The Point News by Dr. Jack Wheeler who used to work for Ronald Reagan. He is one of those advising Rick Perry, along with John Bolton.
“Texas has no land border with Mexico – it’s the Rio Grande River from El Paso to Brownsville. Perry authorized the creation of a Tactical Marine Unit of the Texas Highway Patrol, equipped with six “shallow-water interceptor” boats that will patrol the Rio Grande. Each is named after a Trooper killed in the line duty. They are bullet-proof armored, have six machine guns, and three 300HP engines. Perry is taking care of business on the border.”

I like Rick Santorum and Michelle Bachman, but I worry they can’t garner enough votes to win the primary, and I’m worried I’d waste my vote.

    Good ad.
    Positive…makes good points.

The thing about “making Congress part-time” is that it is a good way for Perry to convey that he is on the side of We The People.
Of course Perry knows that he alone cannot get this done.
    Duh.
But he is forced to speak in short soundbites.
“Part-time Congress” is a good soundbite.
It is in keeping with Perry’s consistent views on returning power…and freedoms…to the People.

And since Romney has been stealing a lot of Perry’s soundbites, such as “get America working again” and “we need a Balanced Budget Amendment”…it is unlikely that Romney will steal the “Part-time Congress” one.

The dude can put out some really good ads!!

Great ad. For those undecideds, who would like a little more information on Governor Perry on national security, fiscal restraint,Constitutional adherence, traditional values, and personal character:
    http://www.redstate.com/louisianapatriette/2011/12/28/why-im-still-proud-to-support-rick-perry/
There are links to supporting citations, and personal stories including Perry’s kindness to the widow of a US soldier, and to Navy SEAL hero Marcus Luttrel. Governor Perry is the real deal, warts and all. He is our best hope to beat Obama. Please give him your support and your vote.

I don’t really get where the “outsider” label comes from. Perry’s been inside politics for decades.

    • Anonymous

Outsider as in “outside the Washington D.C. beltway.”

The debating season is over. From no on it’s all about campaign stops and TV ads. This is where Perry can make his case. Did I happen to mention he’s never lost an election?

Did I happen to mention that he’s been endorsed by Sheriff Joe and “Lone Survivor” Marcus Luttrell?

Perry/Bachmann 2012 because the opening act is over, the clowns have entertained us and it’s time to get serious.

I still don’t know about cutting the pay of Congress. Sounds great, but they will be the ones that have to pass it, right? Yeah, like that’s going to happen.

    • Anonymous

      LOL – Good one!

Governor Perry looks and sounds presidential. It is a great ad. I hope the good people in Iowa will put Perry over the top. I think he would be a wonderful president.
