This video fires me up because it is absolutely the truth. It is now in our hands to repeal Obamacare in January 2013 and to do that we must elect Republicans far and wide who will repeal it. We have no choice this year but to win in November, and I mean win all around the country. We have to win Congressional seats and Senate seats and we must win the presidency. We don’t have any choice – the Supreme Court has seen to that.

I have never been as fired up as I am now to make sure that Obama is defeated as well as every stinking Democrat in this nation, especially those who voted for this monstrosity. The Democrats have gone so far left and they are trying to take our liberty with them.

But not only are we fully awake as we’ve been for some time now, we are also armed with the truth and full of the passion it takes to carry the truth all the way to Washington in November. If there was ever a Braveheart moment, this is it.

Don't wait for repeal. Just don't comply. Record. Report. And then sue.

Know the constitution inside and out. A good place to start is Hillsdale College's Constitution 101 lecture series. The constitution defines the limits of government power, as allowed by the people of the United States. Once you understand how small that territory actually is, you're in a better position to deal with government drones who try to step on your rights.

House Will Vote on Repeal on July 11

By Ryan Teague Beckwith

June 28, 2012 – 4:07 p.m.

Tom Williams

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor speaks at a press conference in this file photo. To buy this photo, go to: http://roll.cl/cqrcpix

Roll Call: “House Republicans wasted no time scheduling yet another vote to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care reform law after the Supreme Court’s decision today to uphold its constitutionality. Majority Leader Eric Cantor (Va.) announced this morning that the House would hold the vote July 11.”

AP: “Carrying out the law will be a mad scramble for states, especially Republican-led ones where officials had hoped this day wouldn’t come. And the court added a new complication by giving individual states more leeway to turn down the law’s expansion of Medicaid, expected to provide coverage to about 16 million uninsured people.”

Smart Politics: “Mitt Romney … has been quite clear of his support and respect for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts who wrote the decision upholding most of the president’s health care plan on Thursday.”

Where was the sound? Don't they know the American demographic that voted Obama in doesn't like to read?

It's a good ad but conservatives must step up to the plate on this, securing the border, reforming entitlement programs and the wasteful spending in DC. They have had plenty of chances and only added to the problem.

Just wait until people start deciding to pay the tax instead of getting insurance, up until they day they get sick, then go get subsidized insurance for their pre-existing condition.

Lower money coming in and more money going out. How long do you think that business model will work?

If people could buy car insurance after an accident, how long do you think companies like State Farm and Geico could stay in business?

wodiej
wodiej

Exactly. An easy solution would be for new employees to be given a 30 day window to purchase a health insurance policy. If they choose not to, they should have to sign a waiver saying they understand they will not be eligible for any kind of government health care program or subsidizing of their health care costs. Should they need medical services, they will be expected to pay it all out of pocket.

I'm not on Medicare so I'm not completely sure about this, but the way I've been told that it works is that when you are turning 65 you are required to enroll in Medicare.

Should you fail to do so you are penalized ... not just a one time penalty, but a hefty surcharge in the normal premium ... for.ev.er.

I imagine they could do the same thing to those who decide to go bare until they need the coverage. Best to just get rid of it by pulling it up by the roots.

The best solution would be to give the same tax breaks to individuals that they give to employers to offer health insurance so people could buy it independent from their job.

This was all based on wage controls from 1941 that employers even started offering health insurance as a way to compensate their workers.

Allow insurance to be sold across state lines, remove the contribution limits on Health Savings Accounts, allow them to rollover.

Then if people choose they can get buy long-term health insurance plans in case anything catastrophic happens to them, and for the routine things like doctors visits, they can pay from their HSA.

Increase competition, stop herding everyone into employer based health insurance through the tax code, and treat health insurance as a REAL insurance, for when something bad happens.

I don't make a claim to Geico every time I need an oil change, why should my health insurance be any different?

So let me get this straight. We are going to elect Romney, the father of Obamacare, to get rid of Obamacare? We are so screwed.

I see our sunshine Patriot's are in full force here. Don't like being called that? I don't care. I'm seeing a lot of moaning and bitching by people ready to take their ball and go home and just concede defeat. F that.

The choice is yours. Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way.

sDee

and you consider Romney's speech today which of the three?

Amy

You can stop trying to pit all of us against each other over Romney and the GOP. We ALL get it.

I don't care if you don't like what I have to say. I'm tired of hearing all this 'Romney' is Satan and the GOP are in on it. WE GET IT.

My original assertion stands. War sucks and is hard - either be harder or get the hell out of the way.

There's iron in my spine and righteous anger in my heart. Today the battle has officially started and those bastards cannot be allowed to win. We must increase our efforts and fight this clear and present danger - together. There is no tomorrow if the monster known as Obama is re-elected. There is no silver lining if these despotic Democrats survive another election. There are no second chances after November. Fight the good fight.

Finally my bretheren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.

Eph. 6: 10-14

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

Rom. 8:28

Be strong. Stand. Fight this evil and lean on the Lord and rely on HIS strength. Have faith.

I'm always a little calmer and less stressed when the other shoe finally drops. It dropped today. My resolve is only strengthened at this point.

I'm w/ you brother but we are a country ruled by men/women who largely do not fear God, have no real connection to our Lord and only use His name to endear themselves to the electorate. Like most of our country: Christian by default or Christian in Name Only. Our God is an awesome God but he has not only destroyed nations himself, he has allowed many to destroy themselves. I pray that our prayers are answered.

No worries... we'll save this country in spite of the Godless.

I pray the Lord will continue to shed his grace on us.

Just as I posted on the other thread, doesn't matter what happens in November. Doesn't matter if GOP holds 90 Senate seats and 400+ house seats. With the exception of a handful of folks, there is no political courage in DC. A repeal/replace bill will NEVER reach the desk of POTUS.

wodiej
wodiej

and you know these events will happen how? Are you a psychic? The only way DC will get any political courage is for citizens to demand it. Apparently you and some others aren't willing to fight for it.

Retired_Coach
Retired_Coach

Allow me a moment please. Do I believe we can truly have a revolution and get the people elected we need in office? I believe there is an outside chance but it's not very likely we can actually pull this off and this is why: We have to elect too many Olympia Snow's, etc; pols with an R by their name who represent areas of the country that mired in political ignorance. If the Obama Economy hadn't taken my rather large bank account, I would send money to every R in every race in the country. Since I no longer have that kind of cash, I will be glad to get on the phone for anyone that is committed to repealing this thing and reducing the size of the federal govt.

With that being said, I believe it's not impossible to take a ton of seats in the Senate while increasing the # in the House and winning the presidency, but honestly, I don't trust career politicians who love the power of representing more than they love the liberty of the people they represent. I have not given up. Like my handle says, I am a retired coach and we always play to win even in retirement.

I'm not psychic but I am a student of history and human behavior. I agree, the only way any of these guys/gals get any political courage is that we demand it. I'm just convinced that since Americans have such short attention spans that we will forget in a few years when they are up for re-election. I'm not taking my ball and going home. I'm down for the fight.

sDee

Far worse than lack of courage. Government healthcare is the ultimate tool of control of a central government. No politician will give it up once they have ultimate power. The elephants are wetting their pants at the chance to fashion their own brand of shackles for us. Just watch them and listen - it is very clear. they want to Repeal and REPLACE!

The Mitties were on all of the right of center blogs this morning after the decision was announced, arguing that this was REALLY GOOD NEWS because now everyone is going to rush to vote for Mitt. BARF!

Talk about priorities. This RNC stuff is more of the same--using the peoples' disgust at the slow motion socialist train wreck taking place in Washington to beg for money and power.

My prediction--we'll never get another vote on repeal. The GOPe and the indies whose votes they crave will somehow find a way to accept Romneycare, since the SCOTUS, led by a Republican leading light, has blessed it. Gee, guess it wash't so bad after all.

The constant lies and deceptions from the mainstream media has taken the people to this dire situation. They will keep us there unless the people realize what is actually happening and react according to the best interests of the American people. The mainstream media is a propaganda tool for the socialists and nothing more. You recognize and pay for their actions and exist because you allow them to.

The supreme courts next ruling will be that a baseball is a football. Yes, yes, I know that the rules of the game, the players, the league leaders and even the fricken ball itself says it's a baseball, but really it is obviously a football. It works just like a football, except for the fact that it doesn't. So, a baseball is a football. Now you if the first baseman can clobber the hitter before he gets to base, he doesn't need to have the ball. It would be a legal block as long as he doesn't grab the face mask, which is what the baseball cap obviously is.

It's not just about the health care mandate.

I would like to ask you and other patriots here to pray with me.

Dear Lord,

I believe that the decline of America is a direct message from you. We have been a blessed nation as you endorsed and protected us from the onset as we relied solely on you. As we became successful, many of us in this nation turned from you forgetting where our blessings came from- we thought that we alone were the all-powerful. We thought we didn't have to account to anyone.

We became, corrupt and dirty in your eyes and we didn't care. And so you allowed our enemies on 9/11 to come on our soil to brutally murder 3,000 of our people. And for a short time, we united but many of us still did not turn away from our wickedness, and darkness grew in America.

And then a man whose main mentor wrote a book dedicated to Lucifer was put into the highest position in our land to rule and we have witnessed Lucifer's presence in this tyrant’s action from the start of his reign. This tyrant that you have allowed to rule our country has brought corruption, evil, despair, poverty and hatred to our precious, America.

This evil American tyrant claims himself to be a child of G-d yet he disregards G-d's covenant with Israel as he plots and seeks to plunder the land of Israel. Christians understand the consequences of turning against Israel but most Americans do not speak out against this leader’s transgression.

Evil has overrun our America and we must heed your warning. Please show us the path back to your heart, dear Lord. Let us once again, be like children and totally reliant on you.

We ask you dear Lord to do battle for us and contain our enemies.

Protect and endorse America once again.

Please save us and our country.

Amen

This ruling will end up being the best thing ever to happen I think Roberts knew that. He knew conservatives would be fired up. If Romney wins and repeals ObamaCare Roberts will look like a genius.

Think about it. he changes the law to make it a tax knowing quite well that conservatives would jump on it. Had the law been stricken down we would have all been happy, breathed a sigh of relief and moved on. Now I don't think there is any republican who won't do anything it takes to defeat Obama.

Roberts handed the election to Romney. Now it's up to Romney not to screw it up

las1

c4... we live in very strange times... if you heard Levin's analysis of the Arizona case before the Supreme Court... he basically says the decision just makes no sense since the Arizona stand was a stand grounded in federal law. And Levin excoriated Roberts in this case. But this presumptive tax argument here also makes no sense even though Obama's presentation to the court took that line. I'm suspicious that Roberts may have another motive to give Obama what he wanted in this decision.

Because we live in strange times, I would not rule this reason out because lawlessness is the standard of the day for the Obama regime. Roberts is no dummy... he can see what's going on here. I believe he took a risk to give Obama a decision that would galvanize the Republicans and put wind in Romney's sails. Wait to see what Levin says. This should be interesting.

Guest1776rcp
Guest1776rcp

The GOPe does not have Nancy Pelosi's balls and will NOT repeal O-Care.

Romney will call the "O-Tax" a "fee" as he implements it so he can claim he didn't raise taxes.

Romney says he'll issue an EO to stop its implementation out of one side of his mouth but assures he'll be a President that will follow the Law. O-Care is "the Law" now so Romney is either a liar or admitting he'll abuse his power "the right way" which means he's RINO all the way. No thanks!

Romney raised 300K in the very first hour after this decision was handed down. He'll be swimming in money as will the Republican party. It's 2010 all over again.

Complacency has just been handed it's walking papers, and necessity, along with indignation, will fire up people even more than it did in 2010. It's all or nothing now.

Sheya... very good points. You are probably not the first to draw this conclusion either. I think it is a valid one as well... for all the reasons you stated above. I think making it a tax over something Obama expressly said he would not do, is a huge rallying flag for conservatives to revolt around with pitchforks in hand. This is a shot in the arm to Romney who seems very dispassionately btw to have come out full throated unequivocally on the side of repeal. His statement confirms this... and his ad follows up. I'm liking the guy a bit more because of this.
