A great web ad this morning from the RNC highlighting the VP announcement as well as the Romney/Ryan message of this weekend, that we have big problems and it’s time for big solutions. It’s very inspiring:

Paul Ryan needs a new haircut and a tailor.

    • olivia1998

I’m not concerned about appearance I want substance

      • M_J_S

Good, so do I, but one must look the part.

        • NHConservative0221

          Way to talk about substance!

          • M_J_S

Pal I’ll talk substance all day and all night, but one must look professional-period. Like it or not, that’s the game.

You can attack me all you want.

        • maynardb50

I also recall when McCain’s people went shopping for Sara Palin, how the news media harped all over it as a scandal!! Let Rep. Ryan be himself. He does not need a
Hollywood makeover. He has won congressional office in a blue state for 6 terms with his current looks.

          • M_J_S

He can be himself in a new suit with a shirt that doesn’t make him look like he’s 13 years old.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/MVKB24PATKM3BXCRTLD62FUKK4 Richard

Good looking???Well compare to Einstein,he is good looking.

      • M_J_S

That has nothing to do with looking the part.

        • Sober_Thinking

M_J_S, you make a valid point… our rockstars should look the part. “Dress for Success” -or- dress for the job you aspire to.

Personally, I don’t have a problem with Ryan’s appearance… if he’s as fit as they claim, he’ll make a burlap bag hang pretty well.

But you are right… every girl’s crazy ’bout a sharp-dressed-man. And we need more women voters… ;)

          • M_J_S

Thank you! People keep thinking I’m attacking Ryan, I am not.

That’s right, the more dames voting for Ryan the better!

        • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/MVKB24PATKM3BXCRTLD62FUKK4 Richard

I always judge a man (or woman) by the result,I see your point though, the dress always goes with the standing

    • drphibes

No, he doesn’t. His hair is neat and his clothing fits fine. This whole thread is absurd.

      • M_J_S

Right. Say that on your next job interview and see where it lands you.

EVERY DETAIL of this election needs to be perfect. He already has the knowledge, now he needs to look the part.

    Great AD. luv it

    ROMNEY/RYAN 2012

  • CPAguy

    “America’s Comeback Team?”….sigh….FAIL….

  • LadyPenguin

This will inspire and rejuvenate the base. They couldn’t have chosen a better backdrop than one of our retired Navy WWII battleships. This area is heavy retired military as well as active duty, and already the atmosphere has changed…we are fired up to fight for our country.

  • anneinarkansas

    Go Romney/Ryan!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/kentarch kentarch

Paul Ryan is a one world government schill. He voted in favor of TARP, NDAA, SOPA, warrantless wiretapping, and he voted in favor of ceded the power of the Senate to Obama. He is treasonous. Just because people slap the label Tea Party on him does not mean that he cares about you or your freedom!

    • Rshill7

It looks like you are also slapping a label on him, only a much more ill-fitting one. Feel free to vote for O’ and Joe. This ticket could struggle through without you. They don’t require your vote.

kentarch = aka looney liberal hack…

  • RosiesSeeingRed

    To the Romney/Ryan naysayers:

Obama was like a bucket of cold water thrown on us — ALL of us, politicians included. He’s the wake-up call. He’s why representatives who previously ignored Ron Paul started lining up outside his office door in 2008 and began treating him with respect. People learn and people change. I’m not the same person I was when I was 25 — are you? People are not absolute, yet politicians are held to that impossible standard.

I understand the fight you have undertaken. We all have. We are throwing out incumbents on the right like crazy, we’re supporting tea party candidates, and we’re engaged. The dynamics of the House and Senate will change and evolve as more and more of the old incumbents are replaced. Maybe Mitt would’ve governed differently if his legislature wasn’t 85% liberal, and maybe Paul Ryan might have a different record if he was working with a congress full of tea party conservatives and libertarians rather than the DC good ole boys club — Or if he were 45 instead of 28 when he first got elected.

Romney/Ryan is our ticket. You can either give them the benefit of the doubt and a chance to show us they understand what is at stake, or you can continue to hold them to your absolute, impossible standard of life-long conservative perfection.

This war will not be won overnight, but we ARE taking our country back. Romney was not the choice of most of us on this site, but having lived an imperfect life myself, I am willing to give him a chance, along with Paul Ryan, who I think genuinely wants to save this country. I’m sorry you will not support them in doing the same — that is your choice, but please don’t insult our collective intelligence by implying with your posts that we don’t get it or understand who these people are. We most certainly do.

God Bless you Rosie, keep up the optimistic sunny disposition.

    • freenca

      Well said, Rosie!!!!

    • IwjwI

      Absolutely right on, Rosie!

  • WordsFailMe

    Here’s an oldie:

GEITHNER BRINGS LUNCH TO BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING–PAUL RYAN EATS IT.

    • http://tinyurl.com/wwsotu Whitewolf2009

Ryan is a very very sharp knife in the Republican drawer! I’m glad he’s on OUR side and glad he’s on our team! Very impressed with him and his ability to debate and draw facts into his conversation without a whole lot of ums and ahs… and ers, etc.

  • JohnOfPhiladelphia

So, once again, its all about money money and mo money.

Not about the legislative campaign by the Obama administration (and several before his) to criminalise the Christian religion that gave us America in the first place.

Not about the dying babies and a constitutional amendment to halt the Holocaust currently taking place in America (I said HOLOCAUST DAMN IT!!).

Not about repealing the Dept of Education which is nothing but a tool for the indoctrination of future generations into the godless mindset of ‘liberalism’ that will surely be the ruin of America, not to mention the whole Western hemisphere.

Not about the attack on the institution of marriage as held dear by all right-thinking human beings in the land.

Not about putting an end to the cancer in Ameerica’s economy, known as the Federal Reserve and the punitive and unconstitutional income tax system.

Not about giving states back their rights as per the constitution.

Just talk about the ‘economy’ all day long, say the Romney ‘conservatives’. That will win the day. If ever I’ve seen the epitome of sticking a plaster on a bomb wound, THIS IS IT!

(I guess even if the R&R team were to decide to start championing even just one of the things I list as much more important, its not like they would be able to convey and present the arguments effectively to the unconvinced nor with any conviction, seeing as both don’t really believe in any of it.)

    • librtifirst

Romney and Ryan are both proponents of the current political and financial system. That is what bothers me, as well. I believe that we need a systematic revolution prior to a collapse, because we will get systematic change after it, and it won’t be pretty.

  • toongoon

How can team obama top that one? Oh, I know, blame his economy on Bush and say Romney made Bush do it.

  • GEDouglas

    Hell yeah! Game on.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

Oh everyone needs to get tough because it is game on! The progressives are foaming at the mouth over the Ryan choice.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/6TFSBPXVSCDIMIGDESK63L4VKY Michael

Nice ad and I like Ryan’s big vision and I like Mitt sounding like a resolute man. Great job and the focus on Uplifting and the American Dream is key!! Very nice….vs Obama and massive Government. Point out that Ideology of Obama!!

  • proudhispanicconservative

Great Ad, keep them coming, and start playing Obama’s own words in the ads, let america see his vision which is contrary to the founding of this great nation.

  • AustindPowers

i really like this ad. there’s a lot of good strong statements from both Romney and Ryan… personally I think I’d go more with an R&R themed campaign… something like “Reclaim & Restore America” and maybe pull some quotes from Ronald Reagan.

but I like the America’s Comeback Team… at least when Ryan says it there at the end. Saying it to myself now and reading it, it sounds kinda cheesy though…
