Newt Gingrich says he like show Trump is handling N. Korea, but when it comes to the Senate he says Trump is handling it equally badly.

Gingrich’s main point is that McConnell got 49 out of 52 votes to repeal Obamacare and yet he’s the one Trump is attacking. He notes that by any measure 49 out of 52 is a huge number.
Instead Gingrich feels that Trump should be aiming his fire at the ten Democrats who are in Trump states. All he has to do is move three of them and he gets his repeal.
But instead he’s attacking McConnell and as Gingrich points out, Democrats must be loving this fight because it voids any responsibility they have for Obamacare.
Of course we know why Trump is attacking McConnell and it’s definitely not a strategy. It’s more of a juvenile response: ‘you hit me so I’m gonna hit you back harder’. After all, that’s what Trump told us on the campaign trail over and over and over.
As much as I dislike McConnell and in general enjoy him being hammered, I think Gingrich has a point.
