Newt owns Piers Morgan over Obama ‘Koran’ apology

Newt really handled himself well on Piers Morgan tonight, taking on the Obama administration for their one sided view of the Muslim world with respect to their apologies over the Koran burning. Piers Morgan approached all of his questions from the perspective that Obama has handled the situation well, only to have Newt hit back hard over how it should have been handled.

This is excellent:

When CNN posts the full interview, I’ll post the rest here.

Newt is one cool customer. There is no doubt in my mind that he would make an exceptional Commander in Chief!

    • 3seven77

We drove 3 hours in the rain to see Newt at the Everett Theatre on Friday. There was a large crowd and the atmosphere was very enthusiastic. At times during Newt’s speech you could hear a pin drop, the people were listening so intently.

His talk on energy independence is teriffic. There is no reason for Americans to be paying so much for gasoline. American energy independence is do-able and would only take a few years.

I didn’t get a chance to meet Newt, but it was well worth the effort it took to get there and see him. If you get a chance to attend one of Newt’s events GO!!

Newt is asking his supporters to “buy” a gallon of gasoline by donating $2.50 (or any multiple thereof) to his campaign. Please help him out.

Anyone of our candidates is better than Obama, but I am totally convinced Newt is the only one who can truly bring this country back. He is the only one with a detailed plan who is outlining real solutions.

      GO NEWT GO!!

    • 1931

      I agree 100 % –

  • Newt has an amazing ability of taking loaded questions and firing them right back at the media. Bravo!

    • Damn right! A Newt/Rick or Rick/Newt ticket sounds very promising!

      • ApplePie101

That could be a strong team. Imagine a Gingrich/Biden debate.

      • Happyface2

That my friend will never haarpen.Newt is too smart to be mingling with the likes of
        that boozo.

      • I always like Santorum but Honestly I think that Rick Perry is the Guy to stand next to Newt Gingrich in this role. We need honesty in government not someone like Romney who is the candidate that BHO would like to see. The only reason I don’t agree with a Santorum being on the ticket is how he likes to be a “Team Player” take one for the “Team” We need to end the Nepotism and Cronyism we have had in Government for YEARS… it needs to stop NOW. We can NOT do this anymore.

        • If you like Perry, then there’s little if any difference between him and Santorum. . . or Romney for that matter.

        • 3seven77

Yes, Perry would be my pick for VP too.

    • BS61

Yes, he replies like we would – unlike a lot of R’s in office who don’t speak about this!

  • Newt was excellent, looking forward to listening to the entire interview later.

    • las1

He’s their worst nightmare… The guy they minimize most is in inverse proportion to their greatest fear.

      • He’s strong/he’s smart/he’s able and he Loves this country–Dems are Terrified of him/though keep up the pretense– Both Romney & Santorum would be their fondest Wish. GopEst fears him–he gets things done, pushes those who aren’t moving… With the state of affairs in DC/laziness/greed/corruption, I’d say that’s exactly what we need.

  • capelady

Newt is a real leader, a man of courage who is not afraid to speak the truth and confronts the truth head on! GO NEWT! This is the leader that America needs to restore our economy and our Constitutional Republic!!! Vote for NEWT!!!

  • blueboypink

Newt has the wisdom and knowledge to lead our country during these serious times.

  • StrangernFiction

“If we can’t be side by side with our Afghan ally we don’t have an ally.”

You’re getting hot Newt, pursue this thought.

Radical Islam is not the enemy, Islam is. Nation-building in Mohammedan countries is pure folly.

    • Trust1TG

“Radical Islam is not the enemy, Islam is. Nation-building in Mohammedan countries is pure folly.”

Every word of this sentence should be engraved in bronze and posted in the rotunda of the Capital.

    • keyesforpres

I always say, “It’s Islam stupid”. I think it would make a great bumper sticker!

      • veek46

Don’t you mean, “Islam, it’s stupid”?

        • keyesforpres

          No, but that works too!

      • TPDanbo

    • JimmyBleep

Islam is not the enemy. This is not the crusades. We have millions of Muslims living in this country in a civil way. Our enemy is anyone looking to harm the US. Those are the Islamic fascist terrorists.

      • toongoon

Don’t mistake colonization for immigration. Take a look at Europe.

        • JimmyBleep

They said the same thing about others who traveled here in the past. Allowing Italians and Japanese to this country was seen under the same light after WW2.

          • toongoon

They were right to keep the Japanese on a short leash after what had done to china before WWII. Just as we had the example of what the Japanese were capable of, we have the Islam example in Europe. Not only Europe but throughout history. We have their actions, their threats, we have the Koran which tells them how to live their life. They tell us that their objective is take over the world. The Japanese and Italians didn’t have near the examples of hatred and violence of these people.

We have Islamist US soldiers killing other soldiers in the name of Allah and then the government denies it by saying it was simply workplace violence. We have Islamist’s killing and torturing their daughter’s over something as simple as talking to a boy and authorities call in family services who are ill-equipped to deal with it.

I agree that many of the Islamist’s here are non-violent. But it is only temporary, as more of what we call extremist muslims intimidate the “moderates” they will be forced to engage in the violence or risk their own necks. Islam has proven that it will kill Islamist’s who don’t follow their laws just as quickly as they will kill non-muslims.

            • JimmyBleep

I don’t see how Pearl Harbor was much different than 9/11. We lost a helluva lot more people to the Japanese than we have in all the Arab wars combined. Yet they are now strong allies and citizens in our country. You see the Muslims here as an anomaly but I see them as the next generation of the faith. They are being exposed to new ways of thinking. They are starting to get a glimpse at democracy versus dictatorship. They see the possibility of following Islam by their own interpretations.

This is something I see as a truth in most people. They want to be an individual. Sometimes the only thing stopping it is the option. I hope one day we can look at the Muslims as we do the Japanese and Italians of today. Not as insurgents to be held in camps but as allies and citizens.

              • toongoon

I hope for that too but the Koran and Sharia will not allow it and the violent Imams and other extremists will not permit it.

        • The muslims here that I know, personally do not want to change our government or our way of life. Many of them came here to escape that in their own countries.

          • toongoon

I’m overjoyed that you are satisfied with that. However, I tend to take seriously what they say and do and what their Koran says. Europe is a good example of what we will look like in the near future as Sharia is being more accepted by our judges and our constitution is being shredded.

Just in case you didn’t read far enough, I also said:
“I agree that many of the Islamist’s here are non-violent. But it is only temporary, as more of what we call extremist muslims intimidate the “moderates” they will be forced to engage in the violence or risk their own necks. Islam has proven that it will kill Islamist’s who don’t follow their laws just as quickly as they will kill non-muslims.”

Look past your friends, 81% of US Mosques are preaching violence to achieve political and religious goals.

      • toongoon

Islam is the enemy, the people who follow it are the victims of it.

        • JimmyBleep

Those who do us harm are the enemy. Innocents are not.

          • toongoon

Words of wisdom are not your strong point.

      • unclesamnephew

dear cousin, “we must not discriminate against immigrant based on their religion, race, or creed. but they must have alliance to our banner and alliance to our laws and customs”

    • TPDanbo

Amen brother ,I hope all those who supported this folly of nation-building there are happy with these results even more when down the road they become terrorists again and attack America!

  • chuck jenski

It is perfectly clear after listening to Newt Gingrich speak that he is the right man at the right time to repair the United States after four years of economic distructive policies of the Obama administration. And as much as I admire Rick Santorum, the other three remaining presidential candidates pale in comparison to Newt Gingrich. We the American people simply cannot afford to have a Junior apprentice to fix the enormous damage to our country created by the Obama administration.

    • deb54

We also don’t have the “luxury” to find theeee perfect candidate. For one they aren’t out there in the first place.

      • chuck jenski

your statement makes perfect sense for managing the decay of our country as represented by Mitt Romney. Newt is a real leader, a man of courage who is not afraid to speak the truth and confronts the truth head on. I’ll take and VOTE for that luxury any election cycle of our lifetime.

54 seats in house, 8 seats in senate 1994 winning both chambers in congress
        • 20 year success record in congress
        • 1st Republican to elected Speaker of the House in 40 years
        • 1st to be re-elected since 1928
        • Balanced the Federal Budget for 4 years, in our lifetime
        • Passed wefare reform in our lifetime
        • 11 million jobs created during his speakership
        • Largest tax cuts during his time as Speaker of the House

The distructive vicious negative nature of much of the news media makes it harder to govern this country, harder for decent people to run for public office.

Newt Gingrich is the most qualified Presidential Candidate to get the United States back on track.

        • deb54

I totally agree with you and that’s what my point was. I don’t look at his past discrepancies, I look at his accomplishments. I can even look past NAFTA (gasp!) because he has committed to abolishing any legislation that is pro-Agenda 21 AND get rid of the EPA as they now exist. The EPA is just a shield for anything Agenda 21. I don’t know what his involvement was and in my opinion he is the only one, then, who knows how it works, how they think, and what makes them tick. We need someone who can fight against all of this but one can’t fight it if one keeps their head buried in the sand in order to “appear” a certain way. If we do lose to another 4 years of BO it will be all over for us as a country.

        • He has a proven record which is a POSTITIVE RECORD. It’s time the people of America and the Republican Party wake up and start supporting the one candidate who can defeat BO, the pretender.

  • 911Infidel

Piers Morgan…what a waste of life. Can’t disagree with you Newt. Mighty fine assesment of our 7th century pit-dwelling allies. Just one thing…there is no “radical Islam” or “moderate Islam.” There are only apostates and true Satan-worshippers. Moderate Islam is a western construct and an insult to the religion. There is no immoderate or moderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it. (I’m paraphrasing PM Erdogen).

    • JimmyBleep

Islam is being westernized. Millions of Muslims embrace democracy and reject tyranny. Lumping them all together is a huge mistake.

      • 911Infidel

That is a western fallacy. Millions of Muslims are playing the tagyiya, kitman and muruna game with western rubes who do not bother studying the Muslim Trilogy for themselves and who accept that PM Erdogan was wrong. But he wasn’t. Here is the complete quote:

“Speaking at Kanal D TV’s Arena program, PM Erdoğan commented on the term “moderate Islam”, often used in the West to describe AKP and said,

‘These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.'”

[Source: Milliyet, Turkey, August 21, 2007]

There are only two kinds of Muslims: Jihadis and apostates. The concept is well known as described in the Arabic phrase wala wa bara. Loyalty to the House of Islam means emnity to the House of War (Mushkrin, Jews, Christians and their societies).

        Here’s the Muslim mindset:

“Ibn Kathir on 3:28—Allah said next, (unless you indeed fear a danger from them) meaning, except those believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers. In this case, such believers are allowed to show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’ said, ‘We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them.’ Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, ‘The Tuqyah is allowed until the Day of Resurrection.”’ 5/28/2010 Answering Muslims – David Wood

So all these so-called Western Muslims are either putting on a big show and following Ibn Kathir or are apostates who are worse than infidels according to Islam. I say its more the former than the latter, as the number of jihadist terrorists or potential Muslim terrorists is vastly underestimated by the multiculturalist toadies in the West.

Westerners may wish to believe that the followers of Allah and his pedophile murdering prophet are just like us. They aren’t. They are just like Muhammed.
Wishful thinking is a dellusionary pursuit and is absurd on its face especially in light of the innumerable terror attacks conducted by the Ulema over the past 1400 years.

Too many Westerners smoke the crack of ignorance and suck the teet of the Enlightenment. I prefer Sun Tzu and the inerrant perspicuity of the real Itah.

        • JimmyBleep

One man does not speak for an entire religion. I know Muslims who are very westernized. Many would have used your descriptions to describe the Christians 500 years ago. The religion (like all other religions) is evolving. To think there are no peace loving or religious tolerant Muslims is to have tunnel vision on the negative portrayals by those who make the news for their inflammatory statements.

  • gothicreader

God Bless you Newt for sticking up for our soldiers. They are our heros.

  • Sober_Thinking

Piers is such a twit. Newt did very well… but if I were him, I would never grace that pathetic show or network with my presence. Their “news” is written in crayon for them.

    • FreeManWalking

What was more important or impressive than a smack down to piers, it was one of the only times his audience would get to see and hear what a real president that loves his country would say in this situation.

It also gives the rest of the world a glimpse of what a Gingrich Presidency would be like.

      • Sober_Thinking

        True. Good point.

    • Is_Sense_Common

Oh I think it’s fine for him to go on their shows, as he doesn’t accept their premise and he always ends up looking like the grown-up in the room. I think eventually they’ll quit allowing him on their shows because he makes them look like big buffoons!

      • Sober_Thinking

        You make a good point.

    • keyesforpres

I disagree. I think it’s good to go on these type of shows to reach folks you wouldn’t otherwise reach. Of course, one must be in complete control of the interview as Newt was here.

      • Sober_Thinking

        Yep… great point.

  • Newt going after Obama on his issue with Greta right now!

  • DCGere

Piers Morgan is a tool…and Newt did excellent.

  • hbnolikeee

Newt you do have the stones for the job. I just don’t know but hope that everyone else sees that too. Those that look for perfection are fools. A very wise lady once told me that the only perfect people are in the cemetery. I’m not looking for someone to go bowling with. It’s skill set.

    • K-Bob

You got me thinking of Newt as a bowler in a league. He’d have to wear a really big bowling shirt with “The Kingpin” on the back. He’d be one of those guys that breaks pins.

      • I’d like to think of Newt in a virtual diner scene from Pulp Fiction, with the media……the part where he asks for his wallet back. Which wallet? Well, it’s the one that says Bad Mutha****** on it.

        • Is_Sense_Common

Lovin the Pulp Fiction reference. 🙂

        • K-Bob

          “Shuh cho’ mouth”

          “I was talking ’bout Newt”

      • hbnolikeee

We need some pins broken. That’s for sure.

  • Mensaman62

Nice slap down of that commie bloke. WTG Newt!

Rick / Rubio 2012…Newt for Sec of State

    • REHLV

Why have the smartest, most eloquent, most experienced with the best record of getting things done work for the inexperienced, naive, (nice guys)(smart in their own ways) answer to the youngsters. Don’t you think it would be better to have the experienced leader mentor the youngsters and train them up in the way they should go.

    • FreeManWalking

I assume you are aware that Rick has warts too. Most conservative media do not bring out facts that will come out if he does become the Nominee.

Not trying to knock Rick he would be my second pick.

      • keyesforpres

I just wish Newt weren’t for amnesty. If that happens, our country will be gone.

        • FreeManWalking

You got your wish, Newt isn’t for amnesty.

Just because the others give lip service and talk a tough deportation game, I ask, do you really think they can do it or will it continue status quo?

Newt propose a solution that is workable and reasonable. Just because Newt’s plan doesn’t necessary call for the deportation of every illegal, it is a plan to get control of the border and the illegals already here.

          • keyesforpres

He wants to give legal status to those that have been here 25 years or more. First of all, they got amnestied in under Reagan and ppl will lie and say they were here that long. You get illegal alien sympathizers on the boards that Newt wants to establish and they will rubber stamp everyone that comes in front of them.

Giving someone legal status is a form a amnesty. Also, if they are given legal status, they can bring family members and our country will be gone.

    • Trust1TG

Rubio to run herd in the Senate – for decades.

    • keyesforpres

Rubio does not have natural born status. His parents were not US citizens at the time of his birth. The VP must meet the same qualifications for president because he/she could be the president if something were to happen to the president.

  • Now that is how I want my President to talk. Standing up for our troops, what a novel idea, thank you Newt! I am so done with this current administration and their abject hatred for our military and everything our country stands for. No more bowing, no more cow-towing, and no more @#$$% apologizing.

And yes, that was an excellent smack down.

  • sjmom

Newt is most definitely the most well spoken candidate running for president and he is definitely smarter than Obama.

  • 36Free

Short and Simple: Haters can hate all they want. He is the man for the job in this time in history.

    • REHLV

The reasons they are haters is because they know, even the candidates that are running, that Newt is the smartest person in the room. When you watched the last debate, there was no question who the alpha male was on that stage. The audience knew, candidates knew, CNN knew and even the haters knew.

God help us to move away from the beauty contest and measure a man on what he can do.

  • Once again the United States finds itself in a bizarre position in a Muslim country. On one end of the scale, high in the air, are the lives of two American soldiers snuffed out by an Afghan soldier during a riot. On the other side is the apparently far more weighty matter of some burned copies of the Koran, the reason for the riot. But the apologies are flowing in one direction, and it’s not towards the families of the dead soldiers. Searching the news for “Obama apologizes” or “Obama apology” yields hundreds of results. A similar search substituting “Karzai” for “Obama” returns none.

  • nibblesyble

I always get the feeling Piers really likes Newt(not his policies) he seems to really respect Newt’s mind. Plus I like how Piers has called Romney stiff and true!

  • Dan
  • shield1

First and foremost, ink and paper does not trump human life. Bottom line, we do not ever surrender our values to this sick ideology. Isn’t that what we are fighting to defend over there? This is Obama and the lefts fault trying to fight a war with PC instead of tried and true methods. The Taliban are using this as a political ploy, no one else in the Middle East is ‘rioting’ over this thing. Obama wants to end this through negotiation with them so he can claim victory and score points for the election. I am convinced that is foremost on his mind and it will cost people.

Rant over… Newt has impressive insight. I agree, he would, by far, make the best president in these troubling times.

Newt owns Piers Morgan over Obama ‘Koran’ apology

  • deb54

What is Ron Paul’s opinion, has anybody asked him? Oh yah! He won’t be interviewed. How would he have handled it under his watch? Oh yah! They have every right under OUR constitution… silly me!

    • Trust1TG

      Whine, wheedle, hem haw…repeat.

    • JimmyBleep

Ron’s position is that we shouldn’t be there to begin with.

      • deb54

But we are past that now. We are there. We can’t just say we shouldn’t be there because that doesn’t solve anything. To have him follow Obama is a very scary thought. To have Obama weaken us so much in the eyes of our enemy, regardless of why they are our enemy, and then have someone like Paul who can’t even recognize that we have an enemy is going to be a disaster at best. Our Constitution isn’t going to mean a damn thing if Sharia is allowed to come into the country and Paul has no plans of stopping it.

        • JimmyBleep

Paul has no problems using weapons against enemies. The difference is what he views as an enemy. I wouldn’t mind abandoning Afghanistan at this point. I’m not really sure what our current goal is at this point.

If he were sworn in office he would end our combat operations all over the world. He would take our troops home from the middle east and africa to defend our borders. He would engage Iran if he thought they were a threat to us.

This is his weakest platform but you asked what he would do, he would get out of dodge if he were in office. He’d rather fight the war at home than abroad.

  • Newt/West 2012!
    Newt/Palin 2012!
    Newt/Anybody Newt Chooses 2012!!!

    • MaxineCA

  • odin147

newt is ready he has come full circle he has studied the issues for years…this is has to be his time…i believe he will be like churchill tough and resolute

    • FreeManWalking

Oddly I had the same thought about a week ago, after I watched a 3 part PBS series on Churchill that I had taped from last year.

  • Home run, Newt. Good job.

  • sybilll

You know what, something else hit me about this. Reagan was in no way hip, cool, or even in tune with what are now American Idol Americans who devote more time to that show than how their liberty’s are being stolen, but he made us feel like a fatherly (grandfatherly?) man who would guide us back from the abyss of Jimmy Carter. Now, all people (who are not beholden to the government) are scared about the future. With good reason, and count me among them. We need a fatherly figure who can get us out of this mess, not a swaggering CIC who sings Al Green.

  • CGpatriot

hmmm, did anyone else notice how Mr. Morgan was well aware of “whom” he was speaking too. Yep’ Newt “owned” Piers before the camera’s started rolling. Treading “lightly” on an interview is not Pier’s style, and he wasn’t going to go there with Newt.

Can we say……….intimidated much Mr. Morgan. Good!!!!

Take notes “lame stream media” and stock-up on boxing gloves. Welcome to the Reagan school of Politics.

    • Newt just gave a snapshot example of what he would be like, as Commander-in-Chief, – not the embarrassment we have presently, with our White House occupier.

      • CGpatriot

Indeed he did Nathan and ITA:

Many think Newt doesn’t have a chance to make a come back, but look at how well Santorum has done since and as I re-call……Sarah Palin who sent out a “cattle call” in Santorum’s favor and low and behold, his numbers went-up!!! “imagine that”

So, do I think it could happen again, don’t under-estimate the power and wisdom of Sarah and her real alliance with Newt. It could be another came changer….tick, tick, tick!

  • johnos2112

Does this A hole even listen? How many Christians have been torn apart throughout the Middle East and around the world?

  • johnos2112

    Newt= what could have been!

  • Wow, Newt. If only you could hold it together like this all the time instead of your moments when you’re a complete muppet. 6 months of this and you’d have had a landslide 30pt win in the primaries.

Plus, now that you’ve invoked Allan West, you probably could have had him as Veep, too. So much you’ve missed, Newt. Just be noble and take Santorum’s Veep offer.

    • Allen West would seem like pandering- It has to be Rubio, at least for Newt.

      • Boris_Badenoff

Allen West seem like pandering? I have to disagree Ozzie.

Newt / West would be an extremely aggressive play imo… Wow what a punch that would be.. although I would happily support Rubio as well. He is a quality guy for sure.

      • keyesforpres

Rubio does not have natural born status. His parents were not US citizens at the time of his birth.

        • Boris_Badenoff

          Not a requirement for VP.

          • keyesforpres

Yes, it most certainly is a requirement for VP because he’d become president if the president died in office. Plus, you would want a VP that could go on and run for president.

      Same as in 1995:

    • Rshill7

Uh huh. That’d be like Dean Martin playing the silly, slapstick, comedian while Jerry Lewis played the romantic lead crooner.

Suggestion: Strike it, flip it, untopsy-turvy it. Ahhh.

      Better Mommy!

  • rjcylon

Oh yeah, Obama taking his lead from the generals on the ground. Yup. That’s our commander in chief, always taking his lead from the generals on the ground. So strong on foreign policy, our Dear Leader™ is.

    • REHLV

The only question I have: Whose side are the generals on that he is taking his lead from? He certainly has not listened to the US Generals. LOL

    • FreeManWalking

I though he was leading from someone’s behind, like that saudi king’s rear he had his head stuck so far up when he bowed.

Can you just imagine a press conference in DC with Newt as the POTUS…? It would be so entertaining to see him take those posers apart. BTW, when was the last POTUS presser..?

    RS……thanks for the link. 😉

One of the things I like about Newt is he does not have to check with his handlers, take a pole, or worry if he is going to offend someone by his comments.

He is in control of his own mind. He is not perfect, will speak in language that sometimes goes over our heads, but by God he is brave and will never quit. He will never quit on the American people either.

Sarah Palin said it best: The only fish that go with the flow of the stream are the dead ones.

    Swim, Swim, Newt.

    • Boris_Badenoff

      Nice post REHLV… +1

  • PFFV

This is a real leader that thinks for himself and more importantly is looking out for the USA. What a refreshing thing to see. This man needs to be President. He is calm, cool and confident. Newt can handle the tasks ahead and he knows the importance of getting those things done as soon as possible. Newt is right almost 100% of the time when it comes to saving our great nation from Socialism and colossal nation ending debt. Newt for President!

  • Neut’s remarks can only hurt our troops.

    • crosshr

our troops are already freaking hurt, radical muslims need no reason really to kill anybody else. They even kill among themselves .

    • Rshill7

Newt. (at least spell it right professor). What part of our troops will it hurt? Their morale? Their pride? Their desire to give these monkey mobs the finger?

I was going through many excellent posts here looking for the Court Jester, and poof(!) you popped up like Jack from his box. Nice hat! A little too heavy on the clown make-up though. Tone it down a notch.

Keep it up and you could become the swami of surrender…the Bo Peep of the bend-over…the Captain of cowardice…the Wee Willy of winkies, twinkies and stinkies.

This is a good place for a stink up, er, stick up.

    • JimmyBleep

Yes, let’s all give up our constitutional freedoms of speech and expression so that we don’t enflame the enemy…. are you serious? If you don’t like our ability to speak freely then get on out and join them. We won’t miss you.

    • PFFV

Of course because being a strong leader and defending our principles and values is the wrong thing to do? piniella you are an idiot. Apologizing to our enemies shows weakness. You probably agree with Ron Paul about 9-11-01 being our fault too, right? I am sick to death of morons that think backwards. I served in the military and I know for sure I would not want my President apologizing to our enemies. Obama is Anti-American every way you look at him.

  • YoungMamaCon

Can’t go wrong channeling Allen West awesomeness.

  • John_Frank

Well done Mr. Speaker. Thank you!

  • Ranger1325

    This is pure Newt goodness.

If he spoke like this all the time, he’d be in the lead for the Republican nomination.

  • dsthomas94

I will never vote for Gingrich, but he just DESTROYED Queers Morgan. GEEEEET SERRRRRRVVVVVEEEEEDDDDDDD

    • crosshr

any particular reason for your statement and the use of your freedom of speech, such as you’ll never vote for newton?

      • dsthomas94

It’s mostly because I have problems with his moral character and I do believe we would get slaughtered in Novemer with him. That being said, few can articulate conservative principles as he can (and with as many adverbs).

        • PFFV

You couldn’t be more incorrect, Newt would crush Obama. Real Conservatives see Gingrich as the number 1 choice and Santorum as a close 2nd. Newt has the composure, experience, and balls to get the job done. Santorum is the one I would worry about being able to defeat Obama, he gets flustered pretty easily. RomneyCare is Obama-lite and Paul is too busy saying we deserve what we got on 9-11-01 and our troops deserve to die because we are on their land.

          • dsthomas94

You couldn’t be more incorrect. This primary has illustrated Gingrich’s weaknesses in full. Apart from being an immoral liar and cheater, he has a nasty temper that only cools after he has fell down in the polls (hence the debate on Wednesday). Furthermore, as the National Review and WSJ have outlined, Gingrich and Santorum’s tax plans are messy and wouldn’t help with the economy or with the national debt. Romney’s would. The media would make absolute mince meat of Gingrich the moon-obsessed and Santorum the theocrat. They might be fooling you into thinking they are “true conservatives”, but the fact is that they aren’t (Gingrich abandoned his promises of lower taxes in the house, Santorum never helped cut spending, voted to raise debt ceiling, big government conservative, etc.) and to vote for them would be a mistake for America. If you really care about unseating Obama, vote for Romney, and hold him accountable once he is in office. I am almost positive that conservatives would instantly turn their back on him and throw him out if he were to go back on his promises of smaller government and lower taxation (as Gingrich did as speaker). And, while we’re on the subject, what have Rick and Newt led that didn’t involve an office in Washington? (lobbying doesn’t count).

        • actionsspeaklouder

I’d take Newt’s PAST moral character any day over Obama’s hatred of America. Which would you prefer?

  • Defytheleft

We never should have put troops on the ground in Afghanistan in the first place. After 9.11, we should have just bombed the f**k out that country for 40 days and 40 nights and dared them to do it again. I’m sick and tired of these savages intimidating us. Will this country ever get its balls back?

    • Marky_D

Exactly – I’ve never understood this “civilisation building” nonsense. Surely that stuff only works on countries where the populace is civilised in the first place (like post war Germany).

      • PFFV

Afghanistan will not be civilized for many more decades, if its possible at all. They choose to be barbarians and cold blooded killers without the rule of law. We should pull all our troops out and just take out targets from the air. Our troops can’t even defend themselves unless they are shot at first. So if the enemy shoots you in the head first you can then soot back, sounds like a losing proposition to me. I wouldn’t sign up for that deal, ever.

    • PFFV

If Newt wins we will have our balls back…lol! He isn’t one to be triffled with.

  • dsthomas94

I will never vote for Gingrich, but I have just one thing to say to Queers Morgan…

  • alex1913

Wow. Just when you thought that the media couldn’t get their collective nose any farther up Obamas backside… what a worthless excuse for a “journalist” this Piers Morgan guy is… Hey CNN, how about letting the DNC do the attacks on republican candidates and you guys focus on reporting the news and maybe try to offer a balanced approach to opinion shows. Oh, and by the way, Obama is commander in chief and he directs the responses of the generals not vice versa… there is a long history of politicians screwing up the militarys ability to effectively fight wars… maybe CNN should read a book or two on Patton or MacArthur and see how politicians screw over military brass. If the generals were giving Obama directions on how to react to things Obama would be a patriot and act as if America was a good country as opposed to acting like the United States is evil incarnate.

  • Chris Null

I like his response regardless of how I feel about him as a candidate. Someone needs to say it short and sweet.

“This is crazy. If you elect me there will be no more crazy!!”
    Please someone say it!

  • the books had been defaced. per koran law they are SUPPOSED to be burned.
the soldiers followed the correct damn procedures.
It is also permitted to burn and then bury it in a place that is far removed from rubbish, trash, paths and walkways. (Doing this) will safeguard it from any type of degradation and debasement, as well as a protection for the Koran so that there does not occur any confusion, distortion or dispute due to the spreading and circulation of copies of the Koran that have printing and/or publishing errors.

    • W.

This incident sounds like ANOTHER Islamist set-up. POLITICAL DRAMA.

The general in Afghanistan and the Afghanis from Karzai to the noisy brutes in the street all know darned well burning was correct procedure for disposing of a ‘defiled’ Koran. The photos and indignation were all staged and fake.

Our alleged President knows this and so does Piers Morgan.

It’s the same set-up that happened in Pakistan. No photos were ever shown of the dead Pakistani soldiers allegedly killed by NATO forces near the border. No forensic proof was supplied. There were only photos of coffins draped in Pakistan’s flags. This was probably political drama to close the roads and put the US in difficulty getting supplies to Afganistan.

The whole Islamic world is a campaign, a constant campaign of conquest, encroachment, deception, racial hatred, violence, injustice, oppression, inhumane and barbaric acts. Islam is a campaign against freedom, truth, goodness and life, peace and joy.

We should immediately remove our troops from Afghanistan. Let them live like evil barbarians if they so wish.

Islam should not be tolerated in the company of civilized nations until it repents.

No Islamic mosque should be permitted in a civilized country. They should all be closed down and its practitioners sent to Saudi Arabia where this religion began.
No Islamic nation should be accepted in the UN.

Demand Islam repent, reform or leave wherever they are still a minority.

The policy of civilized nations should be deportation and containment.

Remove Christians from any of countries that they want to leave.

Ship Islamists back to Saudi Arabia.

Remove Islamists from the US and any other country where they are still a minority.

Tell them, leave; go back to Saudi Arabia and live like the hateful hellish barbarians your unholy book commands, but get your despicable practices and beliefs out of our beloved countries.

  • s.hayward2

Piers Morgan put out fake pictures of British troops beating up Iraqi prisoners which not only were a stain on the British armed forces until legal experts proved they were fake but also caused riots where British troops were attacked. He was then sacked by his newspaper. He claimed he didn’t know they were fake. But no doubt he is very comfortable with the ludicrous position Obama is taking here.He is a cheap whore who does not care about his own countries soldiers or his allies.Do you know he has a brother who is a serving officer in the British army?.Morgan is about as low as you can go. I refuse now to call Obama president.

Iam not happy with my own prime minister, but even a man without spine on many issues, Cameron or ‘cast iron’ (an in joke amongst british conservatives about promises he made ) would never be apologising like some battered wife . If cameron behaved like Obama does to for instance president de krirchner the argentinian president he would be kicked out and the entire British media and other politicians would be calling him pond scum. Because blood cost of dead service men still matters in the highest echelons of power in the UK and the elite media. And it is enough to make or break a leader. It doesn’t matter to Obama it is clear ,he turns the whitehouse into a frat party.

I would call Obama far worse if I could. I still cannot understand why Gingrich doesn’t have a permanent lead of say 20 points. While there are several people I wish were running, some may disagree Rudy guilliani ,and of course sarah palin, allen west, he is clearly the best person to not only face Obama but be president. I would call this man president and call him sir.

I pray (and Iam not a religious man) that piece of marxist filth is voted out and Newt becomes president and restores self respect to the office of the presidency and the general staff of your armed forces. Just why was a US general apologising? What an earth is going on.

I agree with newt,if treat america like crap lets leave them to it. In fact Iam beginning to wonder if we shouldn’t just blow that entire region to bits with air power. it is not worth the bones of any american, british or allied soldier. For reference when 4 french soldiers was killed by a member of the afghan security forces ,their leader is now threatening to pull out and has suspended all operations there. That man understands blood cost,Obama doesn’t.

  • How rare. Thank you RS! It is not often I have heard such a open statement, about Obama’s aims, and attitudes, as I heard from Piers, today. He was shocked, shocked, at Newt’s atitude. He tried his best, double tongued, arguments, to make Newt to understand, we must not be proud, nor defend ourselves. We must prostrate ourselves to the world. I was never prouder of Newt, than at that interview. I shall be proud to vote for Newt. I also know what the media is preparing, should Newt win. I also know what ex POTUS will do. He will be another Carter, traveling around the world trying to shame the USA. I thought the Clinton house of ill repute was bad, but Obama? They told me to be happy, things could be worse. So, I smiled, and things got worse. Where did my free America go?

  • Speaker Gingrich, you are blessed to be a blessing!

Is anyone besides Newt speaking out against president muslim apologist?

  • Been_There_BT

I noticed Newt is the only guy who intimidates interviewers. You can see they know they are outclassed by the biggest brain in the room so they approach him with caution, because at any moment he can make them look like the fools that they are – I never get tired of watching the effect he has on them.

Newt’s a comin for your guy – Get ready to rumble libs

    Newt 2012!

    • actionsspeaklouder

Newt has the intellect, wit and courage to speak out and call them out. That’s the kind of president we NEED.

  • Kordane

We shouldn’t be apologizing to people (Muslims) who are followers of an ideology (Islam) which sanctions and mandates warfare against all unbelievers. We shouldn’t be burning Qu’rans, we should be BOMBING Islamic states into submission so that they not only surrender to us and end their war of jihad against us, but ALSO and most importantly, so that they renounce Islam. These Muslim barbarians need to be defeated. Islam needs to be defeated and wiped-out as an ideology, so that nobody follows it ever again, and so that the threat that Islam poses to the world finally ENDS after nearly 1400 years of warfare.

THAT is the kind of stance that’s needed to gain “victory”. Nothing less will do!

    • That’s insane-bombing them into submitting to what Christianity? America? How are you any different then them? Forcing your views on others?

      • Hey Cheryl, I hope you appreciate the Muslim effort when Sharia Law affects you…..As a woman I am terrified of their infiltration. Newt Gingrich has the insight and intelligence to predict and prevent …

        • JimmyBleep

It is one thing to defend yourself from Islamic oppression. Quite another to say you want to oppress them.

      • Kordane

It’s to force them to end their war against all unbelievers; the one that their founder declared. Bombing them into submission is our means of self defence; our means of truly achieving victory. It is the only thing that will truly end their war against us, because there will be no peace between our people until their ideology has been destroyed. Islam is an ideology which needs state support for its continued survival. If you obliterate all state support for Islam, then you obliterate the ideology.

      • Kordane

According to your post, we should never have bombed Germany or Japan during WW2, because it would have been “forcing our views on others”. Do you not realise how utterly feckless and suicidal your stance is towards people who follow ideologies which sanction and mandate warfare against others??

        • JimmyBleep

Germany and Japan were the aggressors. We defended ourselves and our allies. Did we follow that up with exterminating all German and Japanese people? No, we are not monsters. You become the enemy when you take it to the next level.

          • Kordane

Muslims are the aggressors. Their founder (Muhammad) declared war on all unbelievers for all time, and his ideology’s (Islam) followers (Muslims) have been engaged in that war ever since. This is a war that will end in two ways: 1. All unbelievers (worldwide) die and/or are converted to Islam, or 2. Islam is wiped out as an ideology.

Unlike with Germany and Japan, we are not “defending ourselves”, since if we were to defend ourselves then we would seek to destroy the ideology by demoralizing its followers, forcing its followers to surrender, and then renounce said ideology – As we did with Nazism and Japanese imperialism.

The result of this method of warfare is that we now live in peace with Germany and Japan. We can achieve the same result with all Islamic states, but it requires the same kind of total war that we used against Germany and Japan.

    • JimmyBleep

Yes, extermination of an inferior people… now where have I heard that before?

      • Kordane

You’ve misunderstood. The ideology is what I want to “wipe out”. In a perfect world I’d accomplish this with no deaths, but in reality it’s probably going to take a whole lot of deaths to do it (resistance and all that). Needless to say, it’s something which must be done if we are ever to achieve victory against this foe.

        • JimmyBleep

I think exposure to the west has already made profound changes in their religion. Many fundamental religious countries who exclude outsiders become paranoid and stagnant in evolving. We have seen in history, religions change greatly, become secularized and more tolerant of other practices. I do not believe Islam is immune to this phenomena. Call me an optimist or naive but I think it is already starting.

          • Kordane

Whilst some Muslims may be influenced by the Western world, the ideology that they follow (Islam) is rigid and immutable, as decided in the 9th century when the gates of ijtihad were closed. Indiviudal Muslims may get influenced by the West, but Islam never is, nor can be influenced. What individual Muslims do however is of no concern; what is of concern is what the ideology that they follow sanctions and mandates, since that is what ultimately rules their lives and instructs them in their decision making overall.

I think it’s not just dangerously optimistic, but dangerously naive to believe that Western influences can trump Islam. In the case of Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood (the group which spawned almost all jihadist groups today) was in fact born from its founder’s (Hassan Al-Banna) ideological (Islamic) hatred towards what he saw as the corrupting influence of the West. So you do get backlash against Westernization, especially in Islamic states, which ends up creating these kinds of even more radical groups which go “hardcore Islam” in response to it. So to believe that Western influence can change Islam is sadly utterly wrong.

I don’t see any secularization and increase in tolerance in Islamic states. Instead, I see a greater radicalization of Muslims worldwide, and I think that this is the same kind of thing as what happened with the Muslim Brotherhood, but on a worldwide scale. The rise of hardcore Islamist factions in the middle east is one symptom of this.

I would advise that you err on the side of prudence in such matters, rather than hoping for a fantasy scenario.

  • Trust1TG

This whole apology and koran burning thing is a sham. It smells to high heaven.

The uprisings and mobs in the streets are likewise shams for ‘journalists’ to send political messages.

Obama and Soros had better not try that (insert all words for excrement here) in the USA.

Riots may work in the UK, Arab countries, but it will NOT be tolerated here.

It will be met with tear gas, and if you try to loot and destroy our churches, homes and businesses, rape our women, you will meet real bullets and steely resolve. Survivors will get swift justice with either a non-muslim, non-marxist judge or other means.

America is the land of the free and home of the brave.
Americans are peace-loving, but do not take to bullies, rapists, thieves and charlatans.

We have dealt with Congress and Courts and this Commander-in-Chief trying all that long enough.

I am not sending another tax dollar – until they stop their irresponsible spending and pay off the debt. I will put the money in escrow and let it draw interest where it is safe. Since they decide the interest rates, that is what they will get.

I will never issue an apology to Islam.

    Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood

According to an August 13, 2011 article by Gulag Bound, Barack Hussein Obama has three members of the Muslim Brotherhood working for him. Obama has also opened formal contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood and wants to support them with $3 billion.

As a State Senator Obama said, we must have empathy for the jihadists who attacked this country on 9/11. He also invited the Muslim Brotherhood to attend his 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt. The same Muslim Brotherhood who call for a “Civilization-Jihadist Process,” in which they would destroy the Western civilization from within. The Muslim Brotherhood says the White House will become the Muslim House. They state, we do not want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy. That is what we want.

Sharia law is not compatible with the US Constitution. Then again the Obama Regime does not care too much about the Constitution either, and wants to change it.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a mortal enemy of our civilization. Their slogan says so openly, their way is Jihad, and their method is death.

If Barack Hussein Obama has members of the Muslim Brotherhood working for him; and if decides to support the Muslim Brotherhood with $3 billion would he not be violating his oath of office he swore to, which is to uphold and defend the Constitution? Would this act be considered giving aid and comfort to the enemy, which would be considered an act of Treason? The President can be impeached for an act of Treason. Obama shows weakness to the world, thus endangers Americans. If Obama decides to go through with supporting our enemy The Muslim Brotherhood, will Congress have the COURAGE to impeach him?

    • sDee

It does not end with Hussein Obama. He, like the Clintons, is intentionally deceiving and undermining our institutions with subversive islamists. But other dhimmie politicians are tricked into doing the same. Bush2 was conned into thinking that by integrating Iraqi exiles into our government and military, that they would be able to set up “democracy” in Iraq after Sadam fell. Obviously the islamists had far grander goals.

Grover Norquist was one of the traitors who enabled this. Norquist is still around and will easily work his way back into an elephant administration.

    • The People will! We have to take this country back, and the only way to do this is to get the right people in office… That would be 3 billion of our dollars…

  • gregzotta

Barack Hussein Obama is a FOOL. His policies and rhetoric shows weakness to the World, which emboldens our enemies. Obama says he apologized for the safety of the troops, yet two soldiers were killed after the apology.

    • actionsspeaklouder

Guess you haven’t figured out yet that Obama lies. Every syllable he utters and stutters.

  • rgolich

What left-liberals AND right-liberals (RINOs, Establishment GOP’ers, NeoCons, etc) fail to comprehend is as long as we are importing Muslims into our country via mass immigration, and they are raising mosques around the country at breakneck speed, we Americans will be conditioned to “walk on eggshells” when dealing with them. We will increasiningly deal with them from a subserviant point of view.

The real solution is to limit/restrict Muslim immigration, then their numbers will be so small that they will be only a laughable nuisance at most.

    • Kordane

It’s better just to bomb the crap out of the major Islamic states to: Demoralize them, force their surrender, and fthen orce their renounciation of Islam. Minor Islamic states will fall in line, knowing that they will face our wrath if they don’t do the same.

      Victory demands nothing less.

After this, your immigration problems will melt away.

    • StNikao

4500 Iranians are scheduled to enter the US on ‘Diversity Visas’ this year.

This is insane…typical of our irrational liberal government.

      • sDee

It is quite rational from their perspective. The Lefitsts must have disaffected groups. This was the goal of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. The progressives knew exactly what they were doing. Move immigration from need-based to diversity-based. They can import any manner of subversives they want. The “hispanic” quotas have been importing Latin American marxists and communists for decades.

We have been filling our nation with enemies and dependents instead of freedom seeking patriots for over 50 years. The focus on islamists is particularly suicidal as they will not spare the elimination of the very political elites who foolishly think they can enslave them, as they have blacks and hispanics..

Our immigration is a slow acting national suicide pill.

        • rgolich

Exactly correct. We are filling our country with people who hate us and vote overwhelmingly for big goverment, liberalism.

      • rgolich

        Spot on.

    • sDee

We have to be conscious about understanding the problem as islamists, who bring political, legal and financial subversion. We cannot fall into the religious bigotry trap they have set, by calling them muslims.

      • rgolich

I don’t really acknowledge the term “Islamist” – it is a made-up, “pc” term. THere is only Islam; not moderate Islam, no radical Islam. There is only Islam.

The problem is Islam. Islam is not only a religion but a political ideology as well. Allowing high numbers of Mooooslims into our country for fear of being called RACIST, is just plain foolish and naive.

        • JimmyBleep

Muslims aren’t the boogeyman. We have millions living here peacefully every day.

          • rgolich

Sure are junior. Credible research recently shows that up to 80% of all mosques in the US contain radical, militant preaching, including jihad.

You’re too young to know any better. The millions of Mooooslims have only recently immigrated here, we didn’t have them in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s. Only since the 1990s have their started flooding here.

I guarantee, before long, the US will recognize Sharia Law and American school kids will have Moooslim holidays off, menus will change to accomodate Moooooslim diets, etc.

How do I know this? I’ve lived my whole life in Dearborn(-istan), Michigan, and such things are already true. l

            • JimmyBleep

If even 1% of our Muslim citizens were looking to kill just a single infidel per year, we would have 60 – 70 thousand jihad killings per year. So if 80% have been taught to be militant over the past 20 years, they are doing a pretty crappy job training them wouldn’t you think? Every time we have had immigration to this country from a new people, they have paid their dues to bigots like you for generations before getting common respect.

  • ApplePie101

Newt did a great interview on Greta, it is 15 minutes: the link below takes you to the videos and you have to click on the featured videos where the photo of Newt is, the title says; “No Apologies from Newt.”

    • FreeManWalking

      Thanks BT

    • DebbyX

That was a good interview but I couldn’t stand watching those brainless primates rioting in the background.

I’m getting teased a lot for my Newt bumper sticker, those people are not too smart either, sorry to say.

  • jostvandyke

And Romney or Santorum are even CONSIDERED ? Mind Boggling !

    • actionsspeaklouder

I know. Some people really ARE that ignorant and stupid. Newt is hands down the best candidate running. Bar none. He is the best. Washington elite, the media pundits and the media are terrified that Newt will win. They will all be held accountable if he does – they don’t want that at all.

  • Mary Palshan

I never thought I would find myself saying this…but thank God for Newt. He also has the courage to speak the truth concerning our border with Mexico. We need a man in office who will display this kind of courage, and not worry about the backlash. I’m 100% for Newt!!!!!

  • denbren52

This appearance by Newt might be the one that finally wins my support. Although I may still vote for Rick on Tuesday in order to beat Romney, I’d love to see a continued resurgence by Newt ahead os Super-Tuesday.

His latest strategy seems to be working. Refrain from attacking, or counter-attacking your opponents in the GOP, act presidential, and let the American people know “What would Newt do?” It’s a winning combination!

    • Is_Sense_Common

There ya go, denbren! Keep thinking strategically. Conservatives kind of shoot themselves in the foot by voting with our heart instead of our brain sometimes. We are, by nature, honest & don’t play “the game” so we tend to get beaten by the liars & cheats on the left & those icky RINOs in elephant’s clothing. At this point, our battle is to defeat Mittens in MI and then we keep our eyes on winning the “war” for the WH. Notice that Newt is kind of stepping back in MI so as to allow Rick some momentum to beat Mittens. It’s a crazy game but one that the outcome has never been so important!

  • Piers Morgan is a creepy British butter-boy, like Simon Cowell, Martin Bashir, Andrew Sullivan, and the late, unlamented Christopher Hitchens. Why do so-called serious people even speak to them?

    • K-Bob

You need to get out more, my friend.

  • StNikao

Something is fundamentally wrong with a religion that fosters 99% of the terrorist groups on the official US State Department List of foreign terrorist groups –

What’s wrong is written in the core texts of Islam. Islam is Islam – there is no difference between AlQueda, the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR. They are all one because of the core texts that demand or foster violence, aggression, persecution, misogyny, bestiality, pedophilia, racial hatred, conquest, injustice, barbaric punishments and violations of basic human rights.

It’s time for complete honesty about Islam. It is nothing more than a violent, aggressive ideological system that foments hate, misogyny, injustice, violence, conflict, deception, oppression and conquest.

It is impossible to reform. It must be abandoned. It must not be tolerated. it must be stopped. Completely iradicated from any civilized country.

  • Been_There_BT

Newt will be giving his speech in California today that rips Obama’s “Algae a.k.a. pond-scum” energy speech apart. I know it starts at 12:00 Noon Pacific Time – does anyone have a link where it will be streamed live?

    • StNikao

Hope someone will be able to find it for us.

In the meantime, here is a substantive and sometimes humorous discussion of Obama’s Algae (Al G.) proposition:

    • DebbyX

It takes pond scum to know pond scum.

      Ooop, is that too harsh?

      • actionsspeaklouder

        No, just stupid.

  • While the other candidates are beating each other up and saying “I did this, I did that, I’m the ONLY one who did that” – Newt is taking on reality and what is happening to our Country. Newt is the one I would want to take that 3:00 a.m. phone call. With a Gingrich presidency, Rick Perry will be strong working on the 10th amendment project.

  • Constance

Spot on interview. As always, Newt nailed it.

  • PolkSaladAnnie

Wow! How I enjoy listening to Newt. Nobody can explain their opinion like he can. What a pleasure it would be to have this brilliant man in charge. How can there be a choice between these candidates? The others go round and round and when they finish you wonder (What did they say?) not with Newt!!

  • I don’t care if he is a democrat. I like Piers Morgan. I listen to the podcast of his show everyday.

    • KansasGirl

I wouldn’t call Piers a democrat (not knowing if he is an American citizen), I would use the term communist.

  • Piers Morgan is such a worthless waste of skin. He could give two shits about the troops that were murdered by these 12th centry barbarians.

  • cabensg

This is why we need Newt. I feel that many who support Santorum are being short sighted. In the future who do we want in the press room taking on the press before the American people? Who do we want addressing our enemies? Who do we want attacking our problems head on with solutions. In my opinion Santorum is woefully unprepared to lead America. We don’t need a preacher we need someone who will defend freedom of religion. That’s a big difference.
    Newt/Perry 2012

  • gothicreader

I would like to add that Piers should stick to Britain Got Talent where he does best.

  • RadicalReductionist

    Words of wisdom!

  • NJK

General Allen embarrassed himself, and this country. Damn traitor!

  • Who keeps Peirs Moron in the seat he’s in?

  • Who keeps Peirs Moron in the seat he’s in?

  • B C

    +1 Newt!

  • B C

    +1 Newt!

  • There Newt is again speak common sense and truth…..I can see why the establishment hates him it is a threat to their gravy train.

    • actionsspeaklouder

Bingo! Give that man a kewpie doll !

  • Jaynie59

I’ve given up on Newt. He’s not nearly as strong as I hoped he would be. He’s too quick to accept any narrative thrown at him. That speech he gave at ORU the other day just really disgusted me. Not the speech, that was good. But the Q&A after was a huge eye opener. He was confronted with his “food stamp president” label for Obama by a student who said she was a College Democrat and he completely caved. It was painful to watch.

He’s just as bad here. First of all, Barack Obama is The President of The United States and Morgan’s repeated attempts to equate his actions with the general were a straw man that Newt should have smacked down from the very beginning. But he didn’t. Instead he made excuses for the burning of the Koran, as if that act should hold any significance at all, by saying it was the result of stress or confusion related to the rules of engagement? WTF?

A joint appearance? WTF Newt? He couldn’t even stand up to Piers Frigging Morgan. WTF.

    • nibblesyble

Yeesh Jaynie, who is left to support? Romney can’t even muster more than ‘he is in over his head’, Santorum is bogged down by the press asking silly questions about satan..and even if he was asked about this, he would make a strong arguement but never answer as strong as Newt. And Paul is a joke…so who is left? Don’t be so quick to drop Newt, he is the best choice for what we are all facing. He may not live up to your standards, but who will? Politically… you are going to be very lonely!

      • Jaynie59

I’ll vote for whoever gets the nomination. But I’m done putting my hopes on one person. Maybe the VP will be strong.

        • nibblesyble

Who do you like for VP? I like Allen West..doesn’t get any stronger than that!

          • Jaynie59

I think West is the only viable choice. I’m not a big fan of West for reasons I’ve written here many times and won’t bother getting into again. Politically? He’s the most obvious and the smartest choice for exactly what you said. He’s strong. Let’s just hope he gets picked and is allowed to do what he does best.

  • poljunkie

I have no use for the self important, pretentious Piers. He has disdain for anyone with center/right politics in American politics.

The ONLY thing good about Piers is that he broke three ribs after falling on a Segue.

    Why is that good?

Because he prominently mocked and took great delight when our President (Bush) fell when riding one. Calling the President an “idiot”, etc.

  • Cindy09

    That was a great interview!

  • DebbyX

Hey Morgan, why is it okay for them to burn the American flag? That doesn’t seem to bother you and your friends.

  • MB Smordin
  • JimmyBleep

I’ve moved away from being a Newt fan but this is fantastic. It reminds me more of the Newt in 2011 that I loved. More of this please.

    • actionsspeaklouder

Did he earn back your vote? I hope so.

  • rondo smith

Andrew McCarthy ‘s article should be read for context.

  • NJK

Obama fingered the Navy Seals, and set them up for murder to appease the Muslim world. He gave them the CIA drone, and he will murder soldiers to appease them. Hey Congress, are you still there feigning ignorance about who this psychopath is? How about you FBI, or are you too busy collaborating with them?

  • rondo smith

    From McCarthy’s article

“The facts are that the Korans were seized at a jail because jihadists imprisoned there were using them not for prayer but to communicate incendiary messages. The soldiers dispatched to burn refuse from the jail were not the officials who had seized the books, had no idea they were burning Korans, and tried desperately to retrieve the books when the situation was brought to their attention.”

“Then there’s the second not-to-be-uttered truth: Defiling the Koran becomes an issue for Muslims only when it has been done by non-Muslims. Observe that the unintentional burning would not have occurred if these “fiercely protective of their Islamic faith” Afghans had not defiled the Korans in the first place. They were Muslim prisoners who annotated the “holy” pages with what a U.S. military official described as “extremist inscriptions” in covert messages sent back and forth, just as the jihadists held at Gitmo have been known to do (notwithstanding that Muslim prisoners get their Korans courtesy of the American taxpayers they construe the book to justify killing).”

  • fliteking

A General who apologizes is a sell out, even if Obama mandated the same.

The are no noble people in Afghanistan.

  • fliteking

We need Newt as VP, then let him off the leash monthly for ‘commentary’.

    Piers is a ‘man-girl’.

    • W.

Newt – President, with the VP of his choice!

    • actionsspeaklouder

VP????? Newt shouldn’t have to be second cabin to anyone.

  • Sinsonta

Newt is the answer for America. None of the other candidates have what it takes to fight for our security and for our American values!

  • virginiagentleman1

Piers Morgan trying to match wits with Gingrich? Never gonna happen! The only worthwhile thing that Morgan has ever done is to help a frowzy and frumpy woman with an angelic voice, Susan Boyle take her gift into the world. That in no way makes him ready to spar with Gingrich.

  • StNikao

Newt had a great interview with Greta on this topic:
    Greta –

He’s also supposed to talk about Obama’s Algae Energy in California (appropriate place to talk about Obama’s green energy scams) at 12pm PST and 3pm EST.

Hope to find a link to this one.

  • Once again, we are exposed to the reason Newt Gingrich SHOULD be nominated, then elected to the presidency! Has any other candidate stepped up with a truthful, straightforward commentary on this latest outrage from our “ally”? Or to pass judgment on the pathetic groveling by OUR leaders? This is nothing short of shameful!

  • rgolich

    A) The purpose of the Armed Forces is to kill people and destroy “stuff”.

    B) The military should NOT be building schools, mosques and water treatment plants.

    C) After killing as many AQ & Taliban in late 2001 and 2002, we should have left Crapistan and let them live in their own dirt, like they have for thousands of years.

    D) After 9/11/ Moooooslim immigration should have either been stopped are greatly reduced.

Bottom Line: You can’t fight a war while at the same time allowing enemy “civilians” to immigrate to your country. Impossible.

  • librtifirst

I’m all for burning Korans, if it is simply to take them out of circulation, and done discretely. Showboating it in a war zone in the middle east was dumb. If pressed, our leaders should say, “yeah it wasn’t real smart, but we don’t see it as a big deal”. Then you could start fighting the real battle, rather than chasing Muslims around the middle east. The real battle is against ideological Islam. Guns don’t change anything on this front.

  • celestialjunk

No other candidate in this race could’ve done that interview with so much grace, yet clear and assertive purpose.

    Truly Newt-onian!

  • S2A0R1A2H

WE don’t take our queues from the Afghanistanis as to how to act! The reason General Allen apologized as clearly as he did was because we have people on the ground there! Newt was wrong to criticize General Allen for apologizing for this. The apology of the General, and Obama, for that matter, was purely strategic from a military perspective. The pentagon issued an apology today for the same reason: We need to keep the fringe Afghanistanis calmed down while our people are there.

Heck,Reagan signed LEGISLATION 1988 apologizing to the Japanese for the internment camps during WWII. That was the right thing to do then, and the apologies of Allen, the Pentagon and Obama were the right thing to do now.

The position that we must never acknowledge our mistakes because other “dictators around the world don’t” drops us to their level. Americans are better than that. This is a losing proposition for Republicans in a general election.

    • FreeManWalking

“Heck,Reagan signed LEGISLATION 1988 apologizing to the Japanese for the internment camps during WWII.”

Your comparison is as far off the mark as a Saddam Scud.

That was because they were citizens living in the USA at the time they were put in the camps.

Newt was spot on, that we shouldn’t have Apologized and in fact should have demanded one for our solders that were killed over the uprising.

  • MaxineCA

For those asking about Newt’s event today starting 12:10 PST it will be streaming live at

    • nibblesyble

      thanks maxine…you rock!

    • FreeManWalking

That was a great speech, I had to pay more attention than usual because of the poor audio quality on the replay.

…pull out all Christian Forces then NUKE the AFGAN BASTARDS.”(period)

  • Very impressive.

  • rondo smith

Gen. Allen showed again what a helpless liberal he is when he called this latest murderer “a coward.” That’s what liberals always say about enemies. It’s the strongest statement of moral condemnation they have at their disposal. Liberals can’t call people enemies or evil, because enemies and evil don’t exist in the liberal universe (except when liberals are thinking about conservatives). So whenever an enemy kills one of us, our leaders puff out their chests and call it a “cowardly” act.

    • Kordane

The general may not be a liberal, but simply a man who is under the thumb of the Obama administration, and knows it. Imagine what vile things Obama would have done to the general, had he come out against the idea of apologizing.

  • Kordane

If I was president I’d burn a bunch of Qur’ans on live television, shortly before ordering a campaign of total war against the major Islamic states, where all options are on the table, including widespread use of nuclear weapons. I’d truly end their war against us, and I’d have the survivors begging on their hands and knees to surrender to us and formerly renounce the ideology of Islam.

Now compare this approach with the one perpetuated by the weak, ineffectual and feckless politicians we have today.

  • wodiej

I don’t know why there is even a debate about Gingrich being the best GOP nominee and next President to get us out of this mess.

  • WestGAFlash

I’m trying to picture General George Patton apologizing to a bunch of German POW’s because we just blew up the bridge at Remmagen.

    It ain’t gonna happen. Simple.

Speaker Gingrich never Minces his words. NEVER ! I pray he becomes our next President and if he does the entire World had better takes notice that apologies from the U.S. are over. As they should be. The idea that we always have to play by the rules of others, when we are trying to help, will be over…as they should be. Enough is enough !

  • Newt it right on!

  • This is how the leader of the FREE WORLD and the President of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA handles himself. He does not allow anyone, foreign or domestic, to back him into a corner; including the media.

  • madmax59

I hope one day to see Newt and Obama on stage in a national televised debate with no teleprompters and the nation will see just how much more equipped Newt is to run this country. He is a very experienced intelligent genuine leader.

  • kong1967

Yep, I don’t ever hear a single Muslim apologize for churches being burned down that are full of people. The fact that they are so one-sided in being offended is their problem, not mine. It’s like screaming in outrage if a mother merely slaps you after you brutally beat her child to death. It’s ridicioulous.

  • s.hayward2

Just watched it again, Morgan starts off in attack mode and ends up listening to newt treating him like some kind of sage, just letting him say what he wants to say . Newt must be the one politician media pundits /commentators dread interviewing. Not so much because he is nasty as some say , I hear off camera he is very nice to reporters. Including organising a birthday party for a young female reporter embedded with his campaign, but because he is extremely intelligent and has the ability to make fools of media types.

If this was the general election, who would you feel more confident talking to the media and answering difficult questions , newt or gaffe a day romney.I hear romney said something else stupid about his wifes’s car collection. Like it or not (I hate it) the media have massive influence on the election.Just look at what they did to sarah palin. Although I think they couldn’t do it to sarah now . If it’s newt vs romney , newt is far better.

    • actionsspeaklouder

Newt is far better than all of them. ESPECIALLY Obama.

  • The candy ass General Allen sounded like he was kissing Obama’s butt… here’s the speech Allen should have made

  • Finally! Someone stands for our TROOPS! Go Newt!

  • A powerful example of Newt’s winning leadership posture and clarity. GUESS WHAT?
The CNN News site even posted it…..well…. Part if it that is. But, these CNN News liberal degenerates edited out the last half of the video which contained the full Piers Morgan shellacking reply and comments on Obuma’s failures. Lliberal Media propaganda enablers just keep walking Obuma’s dog. They have got to go when Obuma goes. Take a look!

  • Can anyone imagine Gen Patton apologizing to the German people for burining Mein Kempf? this is insanity by the leftist SOBs in this country. Newt eats up this idiot Morgan and Obama is a low life.

  • King Kong strikes again !! I wonder which CNN ancor had to pull Piers out of the fetal position after that beatdown. NO santorum for VP that guy is as exciting as cooked cabbage. Newt for Presidant & press secretary. Go Go Godzilla !!!

  • solidspine

I would love to burn filthy korans.

  • christianmen

I think the Muslim world better get a grip on reality, if they dont want others to burn the Koran then maybe they otta stop killing Christians and those who dont beleive in Allah. I’m sick of our President cowtowing to the Islamic world! He should have grown a spine and told them “Hey were tired of you trying to shove the Koran down everyones throat by force and were not going to take it anymore!” This is a Christian nation… If someone burns a Bible do you see Christians runing out killing people and rioting in the streets.. NO!.. Islam quit acting like little babies… “Boo hooo they burned our holy book” Get a grip and pull your head out of Allah’s smelly Butt! Its made of paper!

BE WARNED!!!!! Islam intends to kill everyone who does not convert..
Islam is trying in every way possible to institute Sharia Law around the world which will demand the death of all who does not convert!

if anyone thinks differently about the true intent of the army of Islam your completely in the dark! You will soon come to a rude awakening when they come to kill you and your family..when they behead your children for not worshiping Allah you’ll see reality!

  • As long as there is an “illusion” of a “dichotomy” of two sides rather than a sense of oneness….. there will never be anything that is solved…in ANY area of our lives, whether that be war, abortion, crime, prisons or any other (seemingly ) “controversial” issue….it’s time to look at the solutions rather than the problem AND fear mongering is “THE call of the day”…Newt states its well —it IS getting more dangerous…but not in the way that you and I think that it is….. it is if you say it is….be careful on …who you believe in.

  • Fscarlson

I know Newt has baggage, but I like him and think he’d make an excellent president. He is so right on this issue and many others.

  • Burn baby burn! Islam is a camouflage for terrorists, murderers, pedophiles, wife beaters, and has NO PLACE in America! Burn every koran you find and bomb them back to the stone age (which really is not very far for them to go).

  • Ken Cooley

Bullcrap on anyone who thinks we should apologize. Get us out of Afghanistan. We have no need to be there. You will burn the bible and no one gets and apology.

  • 19jim400

Good for you Newt. It is good to hear somebody in politics has some cojones. I too am sick and tired of always hearing Baroke Obummer apologizing. We will not gain anything by operating from a position of humility. Those we are trying to do “business” with see it as a sign of weakness and cowardice. Negotiating from a position of weakness is just plain giving in.

  • There is no excuse for murdering Americans over the accidental burning of a non-living book made of paper. How many Americans murdered those who deliberately burned the American flag ? How many Americans rioted over the murdering of innocent Christians ?
If all the cost and destruction of life and property in wars were put to doing good and caring for each other, what a wonderful world this would be. After over 10 years of a war in which American troops and taxpayer funds were committed to trying to establish a working democratic Afganistan what the result is a huge loss of human life for Americans and our allies and a huge financial burden placed on those who would do good.
Newt Gingrich is correct in that there should have been a joint public appearance of the President of Afganistan and the highest ranking American military officer istationed in Afganistan both stating that a regretable error on both sides had been made and that steps would immediately be implimented to prevent this from ever happening again. We all bleed the same color blood.

  • 1931

Excellent comments by Newt Gingrich !! God bless him – He’s a great American !! Nothing said by a liberal, leftist CNN pundit can change that !!!
