Newt got a standing ovation when he slammed John King and CNN for starting the debate with a question from the ABC interview with his ex-wife. And when John King followed up, trying to suggest it wasn’t their interview, it got worse for him as Newt pointed his finger at King and told him it was their idea to start the debate this way.
Newt also categorically denied the ‘open marriage’ charge from his ex-wife, noting that several others that knew him have said that it is not true.
