NFL player sits out National Anthem to protest TRUMP election!!

OK these NFL protests are just getting crazy – they’re sitting out the National Anthem for any silly thing at all now. In this case it’s Mike Evans of the Buccaneers, who is protesting Trump’s entire election.

Watch below:

More from Pro Football Talk:

On Sunday, Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans brought the issue back to the forefront. Evans, who previously had been standing for the anthem, decided to sit. And he’ll continue to sit, indefinitely.

The reason for his decision to sit is simple and clear: It arises from the election of Donald Trump as the nation’s next president.

“I don’t want to, you know, disrespect the veterans or anything,” Evans said, via JoeBucsFan.com. “The men and women who serve this country, I’m forever indebted to them. But the things that’s been going on in America lately, I’m not going to stand for that. When Ashton Kutcher comes out and says we’ve been punked, then I’ll stand again. But I won’t stand anymore.”

Evans made it clear that the sole reason for not standing is the outcome of the presidential election.

“I said this a long time ago,” Evans explained. “When [Trump] ran, I thought it was a joke, and the joke continues. I’m not a political person that much, but I got common sense. And I know when something’s not right.”

OK, I get it. It IS a joke. And he’s right to be upset. But what is the remedy to an election? Another election? It’s absurd to protest that.
