NFL’s Houston Texans expected to disrespect the American flag en masse today.

The Houston Texans are planning another big showy protest today, and if past performance is any indicator, the folks who watch football the least (liberals) will be their audience for it. The fans will be less pleased.

This tweet went out around midnight last night from an ESPN analyst.

“Options include.” Gross.

The Daily Caller has more:

The majority of Houston Texans players are expected to kneel during the national anthem Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

The kneeling comes in response to comments made by owner Bob McNair about national anthem protests.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted Sunday morning, “Texans OT Duane Brown told @JosinaAnderson that he anticipates “65-70 percent” of his teammates will kneel today. Won’t remove helmet decals.”

McNair got into some serious hot water for comments about the national anthem protests during an NFL owners meeting. He addressed the subject during the meeting, and said, “We can’t have the inmates running the prison.”

So … they’re going to kneel in protest of the American flag because they didn’t like the incredibly common metaphor their boss used. Okay.

Keep your eyes out for video. Personally, I won’t be watching the game at all. If something amazing happens I can catch the highlights on Twitter, adding nothing to the NFL’s bottom line, or that of the players who think the United States of America is only worth honoring when they’re happy with their boss.
