Nikki Haley warns the UN: America is prepared and willing to act MILITARILY to stop Assad from using chemical weapons

Nikki Haley today warned the UN Security Council that America is prepared to act militarily to stop Assad from using chemical weapons:

Via The Hill:

United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley on Monday said the U.S. is willing to take military action to end the Syrian bombing of civilians if the U.N. is unable to do so.

“When the international community consistently fails to act, there are times when states are compelled to take their own action,” Haley told the Security Council, noting that this is one of those times.

“We warn any nation determined to impose its will through chemical attacks and inhuman suffering, but most especially the outlaw Syrian regime, the United States remains prepared to act if we must,” Haley said. “It is not a path we prefer. But it is a path we have demonstrated we will take, and we are prepared to take again.”

Here’s video of her entire remarks to the council:

Haley explains in the video that because of the civilian deaths in Ghouta, Syria, the US had reluctantly agreed to a 30-day ceasefire in Syria drafted by Russia. But as she clearly points out, Russia used all of the exclusions to make a mockery of the cease fire agreement and continue bombing in Syria.

The bombing in Ghouta never stopped as well, which lead Haley to question just how much influence Russia has over the outlaw Assad regime.

Haley points out that the US has had enough and will draw up a new and clear 30-day ceasefire without all of exemptions, and that the UN Security Council must act to adopt the new ceasefire to ensure the safety and medical care of the civilians in Ghouta, something Russia said it wanted.

Her warning about US military intervention then followed near the end of the video. Watch the full video for more…
