NOT GOOD: Muslim attacks against Christians RISING AT ALARMING RATE!

It looks like El-sisi isn’t keeping his promise to protect Christians in Egypt. Reports say that attacks on Christians are rising at an alarming rate, and the main problem is that the Muslim attackers aren’t being prosecuted:

CHRISTIAN POST – Human rights groups have been speaking out against what they say is an alarming escalation of violence in several attacks against Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Christian community, with police providing little if any protection for victims.

Mina Thabet, programme director for minorities and vulnerable groups with the Egyptian Commission of Rights and Freedoms, told AFP that attacks on Coptic Christians have been “escalating in a very short time.”

In an attack back in May, an elderly Christian mother was stripped naked, beaten, and paraded across the town of Minya because of a rumor that her son was having a relationship with a Muslim woman.

A Christian man was stabbed to death last week in another attack in Minya, The Associated Press reported, with Muslim attackers wounding the families of two priests with knives and batons over a personal feud.

What is more, Christians girls and women have been facing waves of kidnappings and rapes by Muslim men in Upper Egypt, watchdog groups such as the International Christian Concern have warned.

Thabet said that there are several factors contributing to the escalation of violence against Christians in Minya and elsewhere, including the deeply-rooted presence of radical Islam in the country, a high illiteracy rate, and the concentration of poor villages in Upper Egypt.

Sherif Azer, Egyptian civil rights activist and Ph.D. researcher at the University of York, U.K., said that one of the biggest problems has been the lack of prosecution. He revealed that many times Christians are pressured by local authorities into “reconciliation” sessions, which mostly result in slaps on the wrist for the offending parties.

I’m sure the deeply-rooted presence of ‘radical Islam’ has everything to do with it. Lack of prosecution is surely a problem, but the force that propels this isn’t poverty or illiteracy. It’s Islam.

With the way things are moving in the Middle East towards this new Ottoman Caliphate, Christian persecution will just get worse. While Egypt itself won’t be part of the caliphate, I’m sure many Muslims in Egypt will declare their allegiance to it and work on its behalf, putting the Christians there in even more harm’s way.

In Isaiah 19, it talks about how Egyptians will be fighting a civil war before the Antichrist invades. I believe that civil war will emanate from this very dichotomy of some Muslims, backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, wanting Egypt to declare allegiance to the beast (coming caliphate) and the el-Sisi government, supported by many other Muslims, refusing to do so.

And Christians will surely become targets of raging Muslims. It’s just going to get worse in Egypt in the coming years, as all of this unfolds.

But good news is also on the horizon for Egypt’s Christians:

19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border.

20 And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them.

21 Then the Lord will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the Lord and perform it. 22 And the Lord will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to the Lord, and He will be entreated by them and heal them.
