Noted Foreign Policy and Climate Expert Prince Charles Blames Syria On Global Warming

In between being a figurehead, a fop, and history’s best and most enduring example of living in someone’s shadow, 67-year-old Prince Charles has opined from time to time on matters of global import over which he has no consequential influence. This weekend, his unnecessary input was on global warming and the Syrian civil war.

Much like full-on socialist and known whackadoo Bernie Sanders, the not-all-there-apparent blames the one on the other.

“Some of us were saying 20 something years ago that if we didn’t tackle these issues, you would see ever greater conflict over scarce resources and ever greater difficulties over drought, and the accumulating effect of climate change which means that people have to move,” he said.

“And in fact there’s very good evidence indeed that one of the major reasons for this horror in Syria, funnily enough, was a drought that lasted for about five or six years, which meant that huge numbers of people in the end had to leave the land but increasingly they came into the cities.”

The oldest King-in-waiting in British history is a keynote speaker at the Paris climate conference, so they are definitely a very serious conference and should be treated as such, you guys.

The interview with Sky News where he made the above remarks airs today, but was recorded a few weeks ago, prior to the Paris attacks. Which affects the lunacy not a bit.

The number of ways in which this is nonsense are manifest and myriad, but not least that the conflict in Syria isn’t a battle over a short-term drought, but long term regional and religious conflicts that spring not least from the fact that radical Islamic jihadis are at war with the rest of the world and forming a caliphate for total global domination and to bring about the end times, in accordance with their religious beliefs.

But hey, details, right?

Absurdity rules the day. There is at least one thing we can absolutely attribute to climate science: the preponderance of lazy thinking and idiotic assessments by ill-informed celebrity layabouts with nothing better to do than scold people for not converting to their precious church of global warming hysteria.
