Obama announces he’s going to Cuba; Ted Cruz says it’s a huge mistake

CNN reports that Obama is now going to visit Cuba in March:

President Barack Obama will visit Havana, Cuba, March 21-22, according to a Medium post by deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes.

The President announced the news via Twitter on Thursday.

“14 months ago, I announced that we would begin normalizing relations with Cuba – and we’ve already made significant progress,” he tweeted. “Our flag flies over our Embassy in Havana once again. More Americans are traveling to Cuba than at any time in the last 50 years.”

How disgusting. Obama is telling the Cubans that live under the boot of their communist oppressors that America is now ok with it, that America doesn’t have a problem with how the Castros are running things. It’s sickening.

Ted Cruz said last night that while he’s not surprised that Obama would make such a trip, he believes it’s a huge mistake. Cruz said he would never go there while the Castros are still alive and said that America should instead push very strongly for a free Cuba:
