I wish MRCtv would go to an Obama rally with a book in hand, reading select quotes and asking the O supporter, "Wow, doesn't that statement when made by Mitt Romney frighten you?" And then when they agree, say "Oh I'm sorry, that was from Dreams of My Father...by O" The facial reactions would be side-splitting.

The one thing I agree with them on is the fact that liberal women should be given a liberal supply of contraception and birth control. The idea that these people could potentially reproduce is more frightening to me than the state of the economy.

Romney certainly can't be worse than what we had over the past four years, that's for sure. America has now seen what happens when you elect a person president with no experience in almost anything. All Obama ever knew how to do was run for office. He never accomplished anything in his political career and he certainly had no executive experience at all, and it showed. Now he wants four more years? To do what, drive us into total bankruptcy? Time for a real change and maybe we can save what's left of this country.
Friend of mine at work told me some odd things about Mormons ...I looked it up on their official website.....weird stuff...not sure I want a president who is in this ...do your own research
1. Guy named Joe Smith in Vermont started the Mormon religion when he says Jesus came to the United States and spoke to him
2. They believed in multiple wives until USA laws shut them down , many still practice polygamy in Utah.
2. This Joe Smith guy says he found some metal plates in the woods...with writing on them ..used them to start the religion. Mentions other gods and a planet called Kolob ....
So some guy named Joe in Vermont started this whole religion ...pretty weird
Yes, Drew12 is partly correct. mormons have been forced to come in line with more Orthodox Christianity because people were leaving the religion in droves when they found out it was a fraud. HOWEVER, it is still a cult-like religion as you can find out here from watching these three documentaries:

The problem is most people outside of Salt Lake City know very LITTLE about mormons. They assume that mormons are just another denomination of Christianity, because isn't that what the commercials say? But they're not. Far from it.
Now, it's no secret around here that I don't like Obamney, but for other reasons. I don't like his social record.
BUT with that said, (and you can't imagine how much it pains me to say this) what other choice do we have? Obama is FAR worse. We have to get him out of office. I'm blessed to live in a VERY, VERY red state, but not everyone has that luxury.
I am not Mormon (I'm Catholic), but I have friends who are Mormons.
1. Yes, the history of their religion is a bit odd, but it evolved over time and has always been peaceful. The same cannot be said of other Chrisitian denominations, or Jews (check out the old testament). Mormons believe the Bible is the word of God, same as all Christians. They just ALSO believe Joseph Smith was spoken to by God too. Maybe he was... who's to say?
2. You state "many" mormons still practice polygamy. This is fantasy. Only very few extreme fundamentalists still practice it and they are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called "Mormons"). Mormons quit practicing polygamy in 1890.
3. Don't know much about the "other gods", but Kolob is a star or planet mentioned in Mormon scripture, but is rarely discussed in modern LDS religious contexts and is typically only a topic of discussion in criticism of Mormonism. You think the Bible doesn't have strange references? Guess again.
So who would you prefer, a Muslim who would hand you over to islam in a heart beat, or a mormon who is a good husband and much loved father?
Would you rather have the one we have now.........look at his church! A vote against Romney (Third party or write in) is a vote for Obama.................

Some really good news on the Romeny front. We had lunch with Lefty friends last week after the 2nd debate. One of the pair was all out Obama last time. He was a professor and eventually worked for the gov. He is living on our money as we speak. He was all GOTV last time. Never saw him so animated about a Dem. Since we haven't seen them much in the past 4 years we haven't discussed politics at all. His only contribution to the political conversation was that he can't wait until the election is over. (Yeah, me either)
