Obama: Romney going to raise taxes on everyone else by thousands of dollars to pay for huge millionaire tax cuts

Obama told a crowd in Ohio today that Romney wants to give the top 1/10th of the top one percent huge tax cuts that would raises taxes on everyone else by $2,000. Seriously, he’s really trying to paint Romney as an evil rich bastard trying to enrich himself and his richy rich friends on the backs of everyone else. I mean, why doesn’t Obama just call Romney “Ebeneezer Scrooge” and get it over with?

I know it’s painful, but you really should watch all 3 minutes of this clip:

Outside of the lies about Romney raising taxes on everyone else to pay for millionaire tax cuts, there is another huge problem with this clip and the Weekly Standard has the details:

The president is right, up to a point: The study was not written by an Obama staffer, but by a former Obama staffer–and a close ally.

The study, titled “On The Distributional Effects Of Base-Broadening Income Tax Reform,” was written by Samuel Brown, William Gale, and Adam Looney.

As Looney’s biography page at the Brookings Institution states, “Looney was the senior economist for public finance and tax policy with the President’s Council of Economic Advisers and has been an economist at the Federal Reserve Board.”

As for Gale, another coauthor, he’s in favor of tax hikes and another stimulus. “As the debate over the so-called fiscal cliff and its potential effects continues in policy and political circles, it just may be the case that the U.S. economy will be set on a better path, says Brookings Institution senior fellow William Gale. … And for good measure, tie in a temporary fiscal stimulus, he says. Enacting a payroll tax cut or government spending on infrastructure will have a stronger impact on the economy than the Bush tax cuts, Gale argues,” according to the Washington Post.

Obama is citing as non-partisan and independent a study by leftists who believe exactly like he does. And their analysis is bunk anyway because tax cuts on business owners, which I’m not even sure if Romney is proposing, creates wealth and raises more revenue for the government. It doesn’t cost the taxpayers money.

It’s ridiculous how low he’s brought the office of the presidency. His constant lies, spin, and propaganda hang like a dark cloud over this great nation and I can’t wait for the day this socialist is defeated.
