Obama to Urban League: I’m forcing taxpayers to pay for your education, so don’t disappoint me!

Watch the entire clip:

Just after Obama told the crowd at the National Urban League that he is starting a new initiative tomorrow to ensure that every African American child “has greater access to a complete and competitive education,” he then said that his administration is pushing all colleges and universities to cut their costs because it isn’t fair for taxpayers to have to subsidize high tuition costs. Seriously.

He then said this which connects it all together:

“I want all these young people to be getting a higher education and I don’t want them loaded up with tens of thousands of dollars of debt just to get an education. That’s how we make America great!”

I feel obliged to remind of you what Obama said in 2008: “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.

But it’s not good for everybody – not for the taxpayers who will be paying for all of this.

This vision Obama has to make America great is why he wants to raise taxes on people making $250k and above. It’s why he demeans the individual (“you didn’t build that”) to emphasize the collective (“somebody else made that happen”), in order to push the financial burden of the collective onto the so-called “rich” (a.k.a. Middle Class) who will then be forced to pay higher taxes (their “fair share”). It’s also why he won’t define what “fair share” really means, because the more people taxpayers are forced to subsidize the more taxes will be needed. “Fair share” is a never ending demand and what is demanded of those making $250k today will be demanded of those making $50k tomorrow as more people are being subsidized.

This picture that Obama is painting in this clip has never been more clear to me. This is Socialism and there is no doubt about it.

But Obama wasn’t through. He then turned into everybody’s ‘big daddy’ and told the crowd that if “America” was going to give them this opportunity, they had better not waste it, that they had better keep their end of the bargain and earn their success. Yep, he said “bargain”. I’m not sure what happens if they don’t keep their end of the bargain.

Also, it’s not ironic that he would have to tell them to be responsible because in reality they won’t necessarily be motivated on their own because they aren’t paying for it. Who has ever been responsible when spending someone else’s money?

November can’t get here fast enough.
