CBN News has a great report on this new refinery that will convert coal to gasoline – cleaner and cheaper than going from petroleum to gasoline. But the man who wants to build this refinery says the EPA continues to stand in his way with their burdensome regulations and it is scaring away investors. In fact he disputes the EPA’s pollution-based justification for these new regulations saying they “are creating a problem that doesn’t exist.”

This is a must watch:

The EPA is a problem that should NOT exist!

    • Sandra123456

I hope the democrat hacks in charge of the EPA give daily thanks to that evil Republican president who created the EPA Richard M. Nixon for their existence..

      • WordsFailMe

That hurt but not as bad as the last 50 years of EPA. Thx Sandra

YOU create a monster… You realize it.. You kill it… Why is the EPA still alive and ruining lives and businesses?? Time for that monster to go buy the farm.

        • kong1967

“Why is the EPA still alive and ruining lives and businesses?? “

Because the left uses it to force the liberal agenda.

      • kong1967

The EPA has a useful purpose, but they have long outlived it and are going to the extremes. Sort of like unions.

    • warpmine

Liberals are a problem that should not exist but here we are pissing into the wind with no leader from any state saying enough is enough. Right now we could be using Gen 4 thorium reactors to provide heat for desalinization and pump the water to the drought stricken middle states but you’ll never have that until you flat out dispose of the idiots that are allowed to vote and be manipulated into shooting themselves in the head.

    EPA=Eliminate Profits Agency

  • WordsFailMe

Obama just keeps on exposing one more progressive fraud after another -he’s going to go into history with a page right next to PT Barnum’s.

“There’s one born every minute, PT would say.

“And there’s another one aborted every minute,” Obama would add.

He’s even more entertaining as a President than he was as an alderman. He’s the most interesting since Clinton did that trick with the cigar–“Moni-KUH, Moni-KUH.”

“Americans who build their own businesses are deluding themselves. Roads, bridges and sewage plants and the people who paint the lines on highways did that, or whatever.”

It’s like “Amos and Barry,” or “Sanford and What could be Obama’s Son.” You can’t make this stuff up!

    • Sober_Thinking

      Brilliant!

  • detectivedick

All by design and agenda driven by a GS subway riding 9 to 5 public employee that only cares about themselves.

EPA has become the SS wing of the Democrat party. They have done so much damage to this country and I don’t think people really realize just how much over the span of the last forty years.

    • http://www.facebook.com/jaspersilvis Jasper Silvis

      Perfect analogy!

  • Sober_Thinking

This is one of the areas where I agreed with Ron Paul (and Rick Perry?). Eliminating or at least drastically reducing the EPA would benefit this country more than it would hurt it.

It’s criminal and irresponsible to focus on “Green” energy so much when this (coal-to-gasoline) is a mature and ready technology that in many respects could also be considered “Green”. Progressives should have their moniker changed to “Regressives” because they are destroying this country.

I can’t wait until this regime is toppled.

every state has (as far as I know) their own version of it.
      make it states rights issue.

      • Sober_Thinking

        Good point…

  • 4Hoppes2

What more could they ask for, Zero Emissions, Lisa Jackson at the EPA and Obama together pose a higher risk to humanity than this project by Adam Victor and Transgas Development Systems. I hope Romney is aware of this and gives an executive order to begin this project and many more as soon as he is elected.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jaspersilvis Jasper Silvis

Bring this up in your next stump speech, Mitt! Take Newt’s advice and replace the EPA with the Environmental Solutions Agency.

  • 4Hoppes2

Remember the guy that did the ” If I Wanted America to Fail” video, he also has this short clip about the cost of the EPA./www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzD80HhofwM&feature=plcp

    • kong1967

Good clip. When’s that guy going to run for office?

      • 4Hoppes2

I don’t even know him but there is a series of his videos at the website of Free Market America. He has a great one about the Sierra Club and their extremism.

        • kong1967

I’ll have to check that site out. The guy is awesome.

          • 4Hoppes2

Here is a link to the Sierra Club video./www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdZbstEmAaM&feature=plcp

            • kong1967

Good vid. The Sierra Club filed lawsuits to stop a new dam being built in Lousiana that could withstand a catagory 5 hurricane. Yet, Gore went and gave a speech to the Sierra Club that blamed Bush for the disaster and he got a standing ovation! Those jackasses can’t even accept responsibility for something they directly had a hand in.

In my not-so-humble opinion, the “environment” is an adversary that humans have fought to shield themselves from since fire was invented. Have you ever been in an “environment” that has not already been tamed by Humans? You would not like it, and you would not live long unless you knew what you were doing.

To paraphrase Obama: “You know that House you live in? You didn’t build that! Those clothes that protect you from the elements? You’d still be squatting in the rain and picking gnats out of your unkempt beard if not for the knowledge gained and work done by countless generations of people who came before you.”

  • odin147

Are the people of West Virginia listening ?., you are a battleground state.

Building a gasification plant is like coming up with an alternative to the buggy whip.
Coal needs to be used to directly supply electric power. Compress emission free natural gas will probably take over the vehicle fuels market. Currently we are exporting natural gas, but conversion of our autos will soak up that gas and lower the need for gasoline/petroleum. It’s kind of a no brainer, but the EPA/Obama & Co are playing ostrich and trying to promote another buggy whip substitute, the electric car. CNG only cars would have engines with the same emission controls you have on a kitchen stove — none — and are thus more efficient than current engines that use energy/expensive catalysts to burn waste fuel. This makes cars/engines cheaper, lighter, simpler, more fuel efficient — only the EPA can argue with that.

  • Botzilla

If you want the economy to recover quickly, cut fuel prices in half, oh and get rid of Obama.

    • giomerica

Doing the latter will lead to the former…

  • Yazz55

This removes any shadow of a doubt that the letters epa stand for

    Employment
    Prevention
    Agency

In this case, it not only prevents jobs for the coal industry creating this gasoline, but all the jobs that would be created by all the additional gasoline that would be in the marketplace, at obviously lower prices. Not to mention the energy independence from anti American arab and muslim regimes.

  • kong1967

It’s an awesome technological advance, but I’d have to hear more about it before I supported it. Using corn to make ethanol increases the cost of our food supply. In the same way, using coal to make gasoline would be competing with using it to produce electricity. That would impact the price of both, making them both go up.

The one stickler would be the ability to process more coal overall to support both high demands. I’ll read other comments now to see what you all think.

  • 12grace

It’s time for Americans in all businesses to say “no” obama.

  • RestlessLegs

Definitely not a story you’d see on the MSM.
The reporter on this story, Mark Martin, is a great guy. I worked with him at a commercial TV station many years ago. Mark always had Bible verses posted at his news desk, but he was never “in your face” about his beliefs. He showed the kind of man he was through his actions. I always respected him for that.
Good job on this story, Mark! Most reporters would take the EPA’s words as gospel, but you made sure you presented both sides here.

When the hell is this country going to wake up and use all its resources?

It’s not enough to just get rid of O Nov. 6th. The liberal bureaucracies in the EPA, Dept’s of Energy, Education, etc. will continue to destroy us from within long after TOTUS has left the stage. Romney has to eviscerate these departments not accountable to the taxpayer.
