Last week Fox News posted a sensational story on former DNC staffer Seth Rich, that we in turn posted here, a story that reported there being evidence that Richards sent thousands of emails to Wikileaks and drew into question how he was killed and by whom.
But as it turns out that story appears to be completely false.
Oliver Darcy at CNN explains:
“What Newt Gingrich is saying just flat out not true” @oliverdarcy on debunked rumors around DNC worker’s death https://t.co/xCnLTAUFHd

It’s bizarre that Fox News hasn’t pulled this story from their own website or issued a retraction at this point. Darcy claims there is NO evidence of the Wikileaks claims and that the story has been thoroughly debunked.
It’s unfortunate that we posted the story, as it seemed like a solid story based on the reporting. But we’ve always tried to correct the record when we’ve been wrong and will continue to do so.
